Thanks for filming this procedure on an X trail. Helped tremendously though I was unable to dislodge the bottom of the headlight housing. It's definitely wedged in there. So I replaced the burnt out bulb without removing the housing. Good enough. Done like dinner!

I know you know your shit bro and am extremely grateful for your advice. No shit, my old mate who has seriously bad cancer was told by his mechanic that he would need to pull off the front end off his car to replace the headlight. I told him it was bullshit and found your clip which by fluke was the same car. I sent him the link then bought a new headlight and indicator on ebay for a grand total of $159.00 with free postage.

I think you will find that some cars require a few more steps to remove the headlamps. For example, The T31 X-Trail has bolts behind the bumper and the inner guard. Commodore VY and VZ you have to remove the bumper to get to the lower bolts. So, technically, the instruction is not for just "Any Car", they are all different - sorry to get technical but it is fact.

mate ya forgot the bolt on the side you take out after ya remove the blinker, its a pain in the arse to get your old light must have had that bracket broken too.
