      Thailand has a much worse immigration system. Every 30 days I had to waste many hours sitting around the immigration office. What a waste. PH is more efficient, at least in that respect.

    It’s their “full employment policy” in action. I remember when Spain had old people as attendants in all their public restrooms. Just sitting there in their chairs with a small table with a “tipping jar” on it. Rather disconcerting when they were old ladies sitting there in the Mens’ room!

    the funny part at Terminal 1. you fill put the card per the airline. However Immigration never asked for it when i landed April 6th. but I do need to do the electronic exit declaration after the 16th of April.

      As of April 15, the exit for foreign passport holders are not required.

    I’m a Balikbayan returning to Manila on August 23…how much is the duty and tax exemption privilege of Balikbayans like me for bringing brand new personal effects and goods for personal use needed during the stay in the Philippines, but are not in Commercial quantity?

    Error on website... "Date of last departure.
    When you fill this out online. If you click to say it is your first time there, this is no date of first departure. You get any error saying that the date of last departure not filled out. Unable to proceed.

    I'll be traveling to the Philippines for the first time in December. This will actually be my first time going to another Country. Will there be a problem with me bringing gifts for my girlfriends children? I assume this would not be a problem if it's in a checked baggage. Will these items need to be declarer?

    Are the items you're declaring also the one you're wearing, like earing, watch or necklace that you're wearing for your personal items that you possess? Or only the one in your luggage. When you arrive at the NAIA and when you depart also you have to go to scan section?

    I am traveling in about a 4 days and I am very lost as to what I should be calculating. Does carry-on bag count as a good? My personal laptop? My laptop alone is $1,200.00, My carry- on bag is $70.00, my personal backpack is $120.00, will I have to pay taxes on all of this? My phone, s22 Ultra is basically 1k too? How much will i have to pay in taxes for a 1 1/2 week vacation?
    If its items in my luggage, I own two boots that are basically $150 each, will all this be charged as well?

      That was my question also because when you get back home to a foreign country, they will scan your body, and you have to remove it. That's what happened to one foreigner who lost his watch at the airport. It's so dangerous going home there now. Maybe just don't wear any expensive items, don't bring anything except for old clothes and just buy things there to be safe. Maraming kawatan sa airport.

      If they are prescibed medicines from a doctor, you don't have to declare them. You should, however, put them in a clear plastic bag and put in your carry on in case you need to present them.

      Travel insurance is only recommended. It’s good to have life insurance coverage.

      You're not required to have insurance, only need etravel fill up ,I was there for a month in March. No worries it's all easy

Because when i looked it up on Google it said that $35,000 usd dollars medical insurance is required to gain entry into the Philippines. I know not everyone had this big amount of money.
      So i thank you so very much for telling me the requirements that i need. This is a great help of advice for me.

      You can find good hotels with Google maps. I've traveled around the Philippines a few times. You really shouldn't have any issues getting a room. And there's plenty of public transportation too. Just make sure you agreed to a price with a taxi before taking one as they are a bunch of con artists

      On domestic flights within the Philippines, yes. On Delta or Korean Air flying in from another country, no. Don't know about other airlines tho.

      Over $10,000 US dollars you have to declare. If you don't declare it and they find it they can arrest you and confiscate the money. At some point you might be able to get it back if you have proof of how you obtained it. But the Philippines does NOT like to give money back to anyone for any reason 😂 so bring $9,999

      @@philspaseo2377 No TSA did not open them. TSA has a pretty fancy screening machine that looks for stuff that's a threat to the aircraft, not your chargers and meds. I had my bags wrapped at a wrapping service at the airport near the check in counters. Cost was $15/bag. Well worth it in my opinion to help keep thieves out.
