Fun fact: they arrived late to the venue so they had to use the equipment of other band, so you can see Dave being gentle to a smaller drumkit and Kurt playing Teen Spirit through a fucking Marshall Plexi. He hated that brand but I have to say the guitar sounds badass

This was a festival and were scheduled to play first, early in the afternoon because they weren't well known in Germany yet. They didn't like it so they made up an excuse (having trouble in customs or something like that), arrived late and the other bands had to cut their sets so Nirvana could play later. You can Google the bill for that festival, they are using the amps and drums of the band Rausch, as it can be seen on the Kick drum.
Everything sounds good through a vintage Marshall. It's funny too because I'm sure he used Mesa stuff in the studio and those were just Marshall clones.
I just feel like kurt was the pure embodiment of grunge here. His performance is so pure. Even the overexposure on the puckup seems to perfectly accent the music. So awesome i cant believe i never saw this recording.

well this was the week Nevermind was released and everyone was still applying for succes. That they really got so succesfull within two months from there didnt really changed much about the band, but more the environment. Thats what they had to cope with.
