Stevie Wonder in Ghana
Ghanaians convey citizenship on Stevie Wonder
Woda maya is right if you visit the Carribeans you definitely feel like you are in ghana. A lot of Jamaicans say the same thing when they come to ghana
Oh yeah I can’t wait to share the same experience
Many Of them are related to Ghanaians there culture is heavily influenced by Ghanaian culture they even name there children akan names cudjoe, koffee for example they have our anansi stories they eat our ackee many of there rebels that free the island were mostly Akans there patoi besides English of course twi dominates in there broken English
You are most welcome Ekow. I feel Ghanaians should equally permitted to have citizenship in Jamaica too! We are one! We should embrace and hold onto each other with love.
I'm happy that he has finally returned. He has been talking about living in Africa since I was a child. I remember my mother talking about how he always traveled back and forth to Ghana. This is a great thing for him, especially in his senior years. I pray he has an amazing welcome home... Enjoy Mr. Stevie Wonder I know you'll be happy here.. I sure am.
Love Ghana congrats to Stevie Wonder!!
we love u more
Wonderful! Congratulations Stevie Wonder!!!
Yes he’s done it
Stevies third child is called Ekow and his fifth child is Kwame. Man has had Ghana in him for long time. Happy to see him officially united with "his" people
One of my FAVORITE...🎊 congratulations. Ain't that good news..LORD AINT THAT NEWS.❤❤❤❤
we are progressing
I was one of Stevie Wonder's African Dancers ❤ We toured on his "In Square Circle " album, his last cut was entitled Apartheid Is Wrong! A song condemning the racist Apartheid government in South Africa ✊🏾
He and I back then spoke about having citizenship in Africa 🌍
🎉🇬🇭🖤💯✨️🎉
wow , its great to have you share the memory. welcome to Ghana 🇬🇭
Congratulations to Stevie Wonder, you deserves it most definitely. Respect is due to Stevie, glad he is home and completed his circle🇬🇭all the best Stevie 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💖💖💖✅✅✅
Stevie was from Detroit Michigan. The home of motown music. Check his music on youtube. Always enjoy his music. I am 70 years young. ❤
Congratulations!!!!! Steve.
Home is home!
I loved hearing his acquisition of Ghana citizenship because as an American, we know what's happening over here, what's happened in the past, and it's wonderful to me that someone with his wealth and status wouldn't become complacent and still feel connected to the mother continent. This puts him in a leadership position whether or not he cares, for others that say if Stevie Wonder feels good enough about this, then it's worth getting over my transition fears, and going for it as well.
Welcome Stevy, welcome vrither ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Ghana to the World 🌎
Ekow, seems like you got a pretty good voice for singing...
Ekow you sing well !
Thanks dear
Nice one bro 👍! Congratulations to Steve!
Thanks 👍
STEVIE WONDER HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF GHANA SINCE THE 70's
Ekow, St. Lucia, Grenada, St. Vincent, Dominca, and the other smaller islands are very beautiful. I'm glad you are considering visiting these less talked about Caribbean islands.
Great content. Learning from you brother
Wonderful to see Stevie Wonder living on the continent . I thought it would be South Africa, a country he political fought for many YEARS during the Anti Apartheid movement.Stevie wonder music is great but his social conscious is why he is respected.Reminder , it was Stevie Wonder among other uknowns who called for Martin Luther king day in America it took YEARS to get that holiday.
Wow i didn't knw that he visited
He is around
he and Dave Chappel have been talking about it for years..
Wow, that is nice bro. I am very happy to hear this news. Let us bring ourselves together.❤
Hey Eco, I am watching from Aruba in the Caribbean so when you decide consider Aruba as one of your stops, we have A small descendants of African community
That will be a great move. I will consider that
His name is EKOW though!
Welcome home, Stevie Wonder. Bug up, Ekow!❤
thanks a lot family
Steve wonder, wow that's huge , that's a legend
very huge
Congratulations 🎉Stevie Wonder.
you have to have a lot of money like Stevie Wonder does to get granted citizenship. i was in Ghana four years and nothing.
I’m not laughing but the last part is funny 😆
Don't start, please. Did you make any effort? Anyway, keep watching Benin, which is just about to pass a law granting citizenship to anyone of African descent who wants it. That will be one route to living in any country in the ECOWAS region, Ghana included.
@@snowball6175 i dont know how I feel about that from Benin offer.. for a few reason, I want to be happy but I not sure anymore
@@hillieduvalier But Ghana has the right of abode too. Listen come back and live here no one is about to chase you away... As a Ghanaian I think the president didn't think through the year of return properly... so many issues not addressed for example path ways to settlement.
@@hillieduvalier do you mind sharing your feelings or misgivings about the Benin offer. I know of many AAs who have been able to acquire Sierra Leone citizenship through DNA test and are living in Ghana
Praise God.
amen and amen
Stevie .... Stevie
yes yes
Awesome
I thought Stevie Wonder was a Ghanaian citizen already. I knew he moved there many years ago. Brudda Ekow, you have a good singing voice. You need to make songs for real. My favorite Stevie Wonder song is AS...
How do u know he moved to ghaba years ago?? That's crazy!
@rainbow3649 He's been talking about moving to Ghana since the early 90s. Just like Rita Marley moved there many years ago.
You most go jamaica too
i am praying so
My has been a while.. i somehow got unsub feom you, then xouldnt remember your name to find you anyway i have rejoin, greeting from Vincy 🇻🇨🇻🇨🇻🇨 St.Vincent & the Grenadines.. you will enjoy St.Lucia🇱🇨. we are neighbors.
Ekow, you missed your singing devotion.
u know right hahahaha
How I wish more of the Caribbean's and Africa American people will come and take over the country and change everything in it, because this leaders of us aren't doing anything at all
it will soon take effect family
Don’t wish for that. It didn’t work out well in Liberia when that happened.
Congrats Steve. What took you so long?
hahaha he was waiting for the right time
When former US president Bill CLINTON was in Ghana, Steeve Wonder was one who came with the President. That was JJ's time.
Go to jamaica
I too would like to visit St.Louisa but i was told Guadeloupe is more Africans, so it depends on what you hope to see in the Caribbean tourist adventures or culture ?
Stevie is blind but his wife is still cute. Did he check with his friends? 😂
Your School founder Quaque was unfortunately used as an ordained priest to help propagate slavery in Cape Coast. At the age of thirteen No African child in the day was qualified enough to be brought to England for any Education , let alone to Oxford. He was having challenges even with his own language on return. He was completely whitewashed, as an ordained priest, to help convince the Slaves to enter the Door of no return. He was an accomplice to the British slave trade. Ekow, it is uncanny, though you may not realise it, that you are doing a great job to reverse the unfortunate things your School’s founder did, that is, helping to bring Home and resettle the African Americans and African diaspora. Your name should be on the Statutes Cape Coast History.
i am glad we are all learning and unlearn. We will do more for the motherland
Great mive for Stevie, one thing I want to say if he is granted citizenship, all the Diasporans should also be granted it too, not only the rich and famous, if Africa does things in this manner, then know that is showing favoritism, and it will be no different than the white slave masters who took the light skin negroes to be house servants and the dark skin ones to work in the outdoors.
If the president presented 5he year of return to black people, then why not provide those who bought land, building their homes perminent status?, why ever few months Diasporians need to spend money to extend their stays?, just dont sound or feel right at all....changes are needed, better it was stated that year of return was going to be a money making deal. These things are my perceptions and mine alone
Unfortunately that's the way things work sometimes. High profile individuals are sometimes granted citizenship, not just in Ghana, in many countries around the world. Governments have a right to do whatever they want with granting of citizenship. It has nothing to do with discrimination. "Search For Uhuru, " a black American CZcamsr was granted Nigerian citizenship, even though he had not lived in Nigeria but just visited. He's not even as high profile as Stevie.
The way some diasporas have been very disrespectful online about African countries I can understand why governments are hesitant to not roll out citizenship to everyone. If they are doing such things without citizenship imagine if they got citizenship what they would do. I've seen some people stir up unnecessary controversies, and yet these same people come back online asking why they can't get citizenship while others can like Stevie wonder..smh 😂
@@knowledgeseeker6955exactly,I have that feelings that if AAs don't stop their rantings of Africa the people will get mad at us and stop welcoming us in the continent 😓
Imagine if all persons thought the same. TMH made us to
have and voice different opinions and what a wonderful thing. Like I said it is my option and yours may differ, that is the great thing about opinions.a And I will repeat it again and that is if government openly invited Diasporians home, then it should not matter if you are rich or famous, we are all humans under the teaching of GOD!. It was not only the rich and famous taking from the Mother Land... point, blank, period!!
As to AA, don't sum us or them all in the same basket, what if it is done to you? how would you feel? Did you know Africans have ventured in the America and also committed unthinkable crimes? and by the way I am a Jamaican born, American raised, so I have seen both sides if the coin.....be blessed!!
Still wearing colonial Wigs
He not African let alone Ghana
And he is from Asia? Europe? White American? Or where, peter tosh said, soo far as your black, your from Africa, take your hate and your Frustration go somewhere, skin pain
So I gotta be famous to get fast free citizenship 🤔
Did they tell you that he got his citizenship for free, you have been in Ghana for over 2 years now, have you make any effort to become a ghanaian
Stop that your ranting,is so annoying
People can't come online ranting and being disrespectful to the country they are in and then later expect to get citizenship from that same country. The governments are probably watching and thinking why would they give citizenship to such a person when this is how they are without it. No government wants added unnecessary headaches.
@@knowledgeseeker6955 exactly my point
@@phinebwoy1994-vk8rk
Right I'm a diaspora too, and I shake my head when I see such people doing the most just for views creating all kinds of beef, not realising that there are actual people like us that genuinely want to get back to Africa and be a citizen. But because of these people they are now making it harder for us to gain it. I am seeing videos coming from Ghanaians questioning their government to stop this beyond the return programme because of the hate comments and videos done for clicks. My take on it, it may be one of the reasons why they aren't rolling out citizenships to everyone because most people are not coming to Africa with good intentions and you don't want them adding to the problems the country is already facing and that goes for other African countries too they are all watching the foolish antics of grown ups online
@@knowledgeseeker6955 you're right,if they don't stop what they're doing Africans may stop welcoming diasporans,I recently unsubscribed go black 2 Africa channel for his negatives videos,he like badmouthing Africa most especially Ghana,
Go black 2 Africa is telling Africans Americans not to invest in Ghana but he himself in investing in Ghana, for me I told him am going no matter what they say about ghana
