Their wedding photo on the balcony is like "Cinderella" said, my 5 years old daughter. And I then realized it it is.
I love that William, unlike his father, seems to appreciate Kate's admiration and attention from the people. He proudly lets her stand equal or draw center stage, this is a great man and husband.
you can clearly see the difference in Kate's role and Diana's though. The problem was that Diana took too much of the center stage, so much so that people prefered her over Charles, who was going to be king. That preference is what fueled the turmoil surrounding their divorce and Diana's tragic death. People turned on Charles and saw Diana as his victim.
That's why you can see clearly that in Kate and William's public appearences, William takes the center role, and Catherine is more ornamental, even though they stand as equals. She hardly ever makes speeches or shows any personality traits other than smiling gracefully. That way people can like her, but not too much that they feel they know her like they did with Diana.
They are literally trying to avoid another Diana situation, which is why the whole Meghan situation is very worrysome to the monarchy.

jansantee let us be honest. She was a young girl (19) who fell in love with the idea of being a princess. Did she love Charles ? No. He was a man trying to love a girl seen as perfect, whilst still being in love with a woman who gave him what Everyman craves ( support and respect) . It was a terrible match.

Looks as if Meghan just brought chaos to the royal family. She just went after Harry to get fame and fortune and after royal titles for her and her kids. She was never a good actress so she wanted to be elevated but instead has caused her own downfall and along that she brought Harry down to her level.
Prince Harry looks so happy with his adorable ginger haired babies and successful wife❤ Prince William and Princess of Wales have different concerns and challenges, but they are lovely. They have to stick together ❤

I felt like smiling too when I see her smile. She's so down to earth, and act the way a royal should be. We don’t know all that much about Katherine and that’s the way it should be because it’s nobody’s business! She quietly goes about her daily business conducting herself with dignity, integrity and refinement. In doing so in this manner, she shows a calming and stable environment for her family, the British people, and the rest of the world. She shows respect for the monarchy and if she’s anything less in the privacy of her own home, we don’t want to know!
Exactly we love the way she conduct herself in public and unlike her sister in law who could not behave in a mature manner towards criticism or stop lying. I love that Prince William and Kate are enjoying their children. Their relationships with their children are obviously sincere. Children's reactions to their parents are innocent and open.

You can see that the Duchess Catherine had a very good upbringing in a loving stable home. Their family unit is very important to both of them. Prince William said he enjoyed staying with her family while they were dating. I think like it was relaxed and normal. They both love each other and were truly blessed with 3 beautiful children who they both take time to enjoy family outings to shops going to different events all together. Prince George as a future King will learn a good example from both his mother and father in respect and love. Prince George we are now starting to see him a bit more with him being supported with engagements with his parents. Which I think is the right way instead of waiting until he is older. Prince William knows as he has been there as young kid. Duchess Catherine your a true example of what a true a senior royal family member should be. Out of two brothers, Prince William got a true keeper.
The other brother and wife are two of the biggest disappointments.

I love the way Prince George shakes hands with the Clergyman, then instantly puts his hand back into his father’s. This shows his love and feeling of security in his parents.
Kate is the epitome of elegance and style. Such a lovely and kind human being judging from anything I've seen or heard. She just goes about her role, with such dignity and never makes it all about herself. William is a lucky man to have met and married his 'childhood' sweetheart. And her children are lucky to have her as their mother.
Katherine was obviously raised by living, giving parents who instilled a sense of confidence and dignity in her. Also must say I admire her parents very much. They appear to accept their daughters role in life easily with grace and dignity . I haven't seen one word or tv news slot where they were featured and trying to use their daughters role in a bit to make themselves more. So they obviously are confident in themselves and their own roles in life. Very admirable and telling of the type people they are. So my best to Kate's wonderful parents!!!!!

William was smart when he met Kate at first he knew that she was different and special.
He just seems like he was very aware of his future role and the burden/blessing it would have on his future spouse. Good for him for taking it all seriously and assumingly communicating this all to Kate prior to marriage. Shows that they were both raised in a very mature and forthright manner and embrace their place in history.
Catherine lives and breathes royalty. She is SO like the Queen in her absolute devotion and allegiance to the British people and to the Crown. She avoids controversy and is an absolute reliable source of dignity, intelligence and calm. Catherine does not seek the spotlight which draws people to her. Rather than look for a camera and seek to be seen, Catherine focuses totally on the people around her and her husband, William. She always supports William by remaining conscious of his future role as King, and reflecting that fact in her actions. She doesn't seek to be the center of attention or assert herself as the person due focus when they are together, unless appropriate. As a female, she has shown that strength is sometimes greatest and most valued when it is peaceful, quiet and consistent. She seems to be a mother with this pattern as well. William and their children are blessed to have the joy of Catherine in their lives. The Queen can relax, knowing Catherine is a strong, loyal family member who leads in subtle ways via her incredible inner strength and good nature. God bless the future Queen.

You can see she’s a great companion to William and they seem to have an effortlessly happy relationship. Under the glare of all those cameras and all that scrutiny, that’s quite an achievement.

I wonder sometimes if the break-up between Catherine and William earlier in their relationship was a kind of test of her discretion. She handled that break-up with great discretion, not talking about the relationship she had had with William. William had to be sure that the woman he married would be able to handle all the pressures and possible pitfalls, and she passed. So far she has done very well. They both chose well.
Story is Camilla complaining to Charles that Kate was too common to become Queen eventually, so pressure was put on William to stop and think carefully about a suitable wife, thankfully William decided Kate was suited for royal life, and now we know he made the right choice. In my opinion Charles made the wrong choice, and It disturbs me to think one day we will have Queen Camilla if Charles gets his way.

I have read several reports giving same story Camilla is a snob and frowns upon commoners being introduced into the royal family in this case Catherine Middleton who comes from a middle class family. She has shown she is more than capable of stepping up to the role of being the wife of the future King. Camilla and Prince Charles are not favourites of the people and a poll in recent times show both are way down percent terms as being favourite royals, Many people write in to the press expressing their desire to bypass Charles in favour of Prince William, though that is unlikely to happen. I take a great interest in our Royal family and what I write is what I read, nothing more nothing less. I have great respect for HM Queen Elizabeth, but not for her son. That of course is my opinion, and have the same respect for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Hope this answers your question.

In her interview before she got married, she was unbelievably soft spoken and gentle. She defers to Prince William, but he always treats her like an equal. She is truly amazing and has evolved beautifully.

The Queen does not choose whom her heirs will be. It is the law. There is an Order of Succession and Charles is her Heir Apparent and William is the heir’s heir. King Charles IV will be next followed by King William V and Queen Catherine, but firstly, when Charles becomes king then William and Catherine will become Prince and Princess of Wales. Someday Prince George will become King George VII.

Very interesting documentary which reassures viewer that the u.k. royal family does have a sturdy base worth respecting. Ten years of waiting seems to have made a very big difference in their understanding of each other. Nice to see her reacting in a friendly, sympathetic manner, not staring into the camera every time.

Cambridge is an appointed name to both William and Catherine when they got married, given by Queen Elizabeth. Catherine's actual maiden name is Middleton. Her married last name is now Windsor since that is the family she married into. Although you will see "Wales" as a last name on both Harry's and William's military uniforms because they are "Prince Harry Of Wales" and "Prince William of Wales" just as it is with their father, "Prince Charles Of Wales". But with all of that being said, if you want to get technical, Catherine's last name is now "Windsor".
