Some juicing tips from a gal who works in a juice bar (i'll regretfully admit that I've slowly morphed into one of the frat boys there as time's gone by):
- Try and rinse out the machine ASAP, when the pulp dries it's horrid to get off
- On that same note, get yourself a bottle of Cafiza and a nail brush, it'll be your best friends for cleaning days
- If you add a tiny splash of olive oil in juices that doesn't have any fat soluble vitamins (like avocado) it helps the juice to not separate as quickly and makes it easier for your body to absorb the vitamins
- Always put produce with less juice in it first so your base can flush more flavours out
- Best mini combo (legit stealing an old work recipe here) : lemon, celery, apple
- Best big combo, lemon, celery, avocado, pineapple, spinach, passionfruit, apple. When I was in a really bad GAD spell a few months ago and couldn't get any food down this was a lifesaver

I've never commented on a video before but I just wanted to tell you that I love living vicariously through your videos. I live in upstate NY but would frequently visit Manhattan with my mom to see her boyfriend. (They were together from the time I was 4-14) It's been ten years since they broke up and haven't been back to the city since. Your videos feel both nostalgic and intriguing to me. I get to play the 'what if?' game of could I be like you if we had moved to NYC like we planned (my mom and I) I love seeing your natural, unforced life in the city. You inspire me to both visit the city and to (maybe) try to work towards a small marathon. Thanks for being my virtual, long distance friendâ€ïž

Meeting your body where it's at it so difficult. We're constantly told to just push through, and our poor bodies suffer, as well as our mental health because we then don't feel good enough.
I love running too. especially in the hills and whenever I visit my village I like to go for long runs as it's quite and peaceful and I run for like 30-40 kms 4 -5 times a week. I love people who loves running

I enjoy your vlogs so much. I lived in NYC right after grad school for four years. I live in the south now but try to return to NYC once a year to see a show and soak up the vibes. I was there for a week this past December celebrating my youngest's graduation from college. We did everything! It felt like I was living there again. Loving the video đ I have the luxury of letting myself be a kid so often because of my work in daycare. Playing with the kids is actually part of my job subscription đ Yesterday I got to paint my clay animals I made 2 days before with the kids. Chasing the kids around, filling the space with laughter. Playing with Lego or building the highest tower with blocks. Or sitting outside eating ice cream and talking about the favorite (childhood) food, what they wanna be when they grow up. The curiosity of kids is something I aspire to. Just asking all the simple things and wondering of the world...ah adult life in the eyes of a kid is just so much better! Best job in the world âșïž

Vegetable juice maybe? Juice is basically sugar. Plus extract the pulp, no fiber. This can be accomplished with a Magic Bullet for 40$ at Target. Cleans super easy, takes little space.

And Iâll tell you what anytime I go to a new podiatrist or PT. They are usually super psyched that I wear Asics because they are amongst the best running shoes out there.

Everyone has their preference of shoes for sure, but I am a Hoka for life kind of guy. I have done 5 half marathons and have only worn Hokas. I remember going into my local running store asking for a shoe that was comfortable to run in and they had me try a few out before they brought out the Hoka Bondi's. I took one look at them and thought platform shoes, tried them on and haven't looked back since. Found out they even made hiking boots, ran to my closest REI and bought them, they have hiked 10 National Parks over 300 miles and still look and feel brand new. Happy Running!!

Good job figuring out the juicer. If you want to eat celery without strings, use a peeler and run it down the back of the celery stalk. It will remove the layer that contains those strings and then you can eat the rest without strings. Have a great week!

I am also discovering my childhood hobbies all over again in my thirties, and IT IS SO FUN! I started reading again, I have tried out painting miniatures, and I am learning to garden. Even though I am still killing everything I grow and my painting needs a lot of work, the joy it brings me is priceless. I understand when people say now that you really start living in your 30s.
