Sootfur died due to breaking his back legs leaving him unable to escape from came during the badger attack the killed Cinderpelt. Such a brutal death 😢
I can't even imagine what was going through his mind. His and Rippletail's deaths were so horrifying to me. Who knew badgers and beavers can be scary?
Exactlyyy honestly I think it was way worse than cinderpelts death, not as impactful, but definitely more brutal. Background characters often have some brutal deaths that get glanced over tbh

Honestly, the scene where Jayfeather saves Poppyfrost at the moonpool is my favorite scene in the entire series. Idk why but it just struck something deep in my heart. Jayfeather was not skilled at fighting, and he's not rlly great at emotions either. Yet he under Poppyfrost's anguish and went after her to the Moonpool. Not only that, but he fought for her and almost died to protect her and her unborn kits. The scene where he takes her back from the dead as an apprentice is a close runnerup for my favorite scene as well.
I honestly think an underrated character (and my favorite) is Sandstorm. I mean ppl don’t FORGET about her, it’s just everyone always think of her as “Firestar’s mate” but she is a lot more than just that.
I love Pickle, he's a silly little kittypet that Nightcloud lived with temporarily and he seemed to b quite nice with others interests at heart.
🌿More about mosspelt because i love her🌿
She was mates with frogleap. (Leopardstars crush) and we learn about her when she says she is pregnant with frogleaps kits. She goes with leopardstar once on their one to go raid the twolegs fish but mosspelt almost gets captured and barely escapes. Frogleap is mad ad leopardstar but mosspelt isnt mad at her. Later she has her kits (Dawnkit, woodkit and robinkit.) When a flood later enters the camp both woodkit and robinkit drown leaving her only with dawnkit. And later on she adopts stonekit and featherkit they all grow up to be dawnflower stonefur and feathertail. She also adopts willowshine-
A cat I really like is Oakstep, a Skyclan elder back in past Skyclan, he was an apprentice when Skyclan was kicked out and he was there when Skyclan was officially disbanded, he was the one who wanted to bury FallenSnow and had to be held back from trying to find the other cat who died and ahhhhh he’s so eepy

Okay, for the body types!! Riverclan cats have always been described as glossy pelted and very muscular... For them to be fluffy kinda would make sense but mostly wouldn't make sense at all - fluffy fur would weigh them down SO badly when swimming!! I've always imagined them relatively shorter furred with their muscles easily seen and defined due to their very nutritious fish diet, higher oils in the fish to give that healthy glossy fur, and the power of their thick muscles from swimming.
They are definitely the most healthy and powerful clan and yet we rarely get anything of substance about them 🤦😂
We DID (kinda spoiler but nothing big) get a FASCINATING fact about Riverclan in the recent books - they DECORATE their camp??!! With shells!! So. Interesting.
In my mind, Shadowclan would be on the fluffier side and maybe some of Windclan to protect them from the very open environments they live in. Windclan with the fierce winds with NO protection and Shadowclan with their nearly no-foliage pine forests where the wind would cut through intensely and quickly.
I don't know - it's just a little itch in my mind 😂
Honestly my favorite background characters are;
Nightcloud(Crowfeather's old mate), Cherrytail(Skyclan), and Whitewing(Cloudtail and Brightheart's kit).
I heart wolfstep, not bc of who he is as a character, but becuase he just seems cool

(Spoilers for any wc series after power of three.) A cat I really like is Mousefur, I know she’s not that underrated but, she’s the perfect mix of loving mother and a grumpy grandma. I also love the friendship between her and Longtail (and to some extent after Longtail dips, Purdy.) and in her warrior days, she was a smart, gruff she-cat and idk if this is cannon or not but I believe she’s aroace, she never took a mate or had kits, she was just in general a loyal warrior. And her death fighting a dark forest cat, (I’m 90% sure it’s BrokenStar.) she died a true warriors death and I’m glad she can reunite with friends and family in StarClan.
Ah yes Lilyheart I like her to. She raised Twigbranch as a foster mom and temporary did so with Violetshine.

Frostfur! I love how she's supportive of Fireheart, remembering how he helped rescue her kits, and talks to Brindleface about the latter taking Cloudkit in. Her suffix is fairly common but the fact Brackenfur has the same suffix as his mom is cute.
I'm not very familiar with Foxleap but he sounds like a fun guy.
Birchfall is my favourite little bean but I love all these characters
One of my favorite underrated characters is Mousewhisker. I absolutely adore him and feel that he deserved so much more attention with the Minnowtail drama and the Dark Forest drama. I feel like he deserves a novella or a manga book about him.
I also think that Flametail is very underrated and I would like to see more of him. After Omen of the Stars he was just forgotten and I feel bad for him, although his death led to Jayfeather drama and I love any Jayfeather drama. Night Whispers in my opinion is one of the more underrated books and I did enjoy reading it.
a favorite background character for me in skyclan was birdwing, she was so silly as an apprentice in the skyclan stranger mangas :3

Dude one oc the scenes that has stuck with me the most is Dawnpelt's death in AVOS. It wasnt a brutal on screen death like so many other characters. It felt the most real world esc to me. A real person probably isn't going to fight a badger and die. But Dawnpelt vanishes in the night, with no one knowing she's dead for so long, they dont even find her body. She just goes missing, without a scream, she's just....gone.

After willowpelt dies there's a whole scene of Brightheart and another cat (i think cinderpelt?) Comforting the kits and Sootpaw SPECIFICALLY starts asking/BEGGING them not to let the badger take him too. Brightheart promises the whole clan will protect him.
And then TNP rolls around. And the badger got him anyway

YEEES SOOTFUR APPRECIATION I think Sootfur is the biggest missed opurtunity in warriors he saw Willowpelt (his mother) jump in front of a badger to save him as an apprentice so he had a massive chance in new prophecy to go super saiyan on the badgers in rage of what a badger did to Willowpelt yet he is never brought attention to in the fight except for when both his back legs were broken which also was a good oppurtunity to do a Briarlight in the more boring arc but no of course squilf stands there and does nothing when a badger comes over and kills Sootfur screw you squilf! and then he was overshadowed by Cinderpelts death
