- Crispy cucumber salad is so refreshing. Yes it makes a difference what kind on cucumbers you buy. The one that are smaller and say picking cucumbers are the best. Salad cucumbers are softer and sometimes get mush. Try this salad. It's sweet and sour taste will have you coming back for more.

Cucumber salad,😋😋dinner sounds great!!! I'm soaking brown pintos for supper it's 8 a.m. everyone shows up around here about 4 p.m. hot and hungry, after a good scrub we sit and eat in the kitchen. We'll have some cornbread,onions and tomatoes, and Iced tea to wash it down,like Grandpaw Jones on HeeHaw used to say,Yum,yum get you some!! Oh, p.s. I'm canning some tomatoes today. Same here in KY we going be around 105 they said the humidity is awful. Need rain bad they are saying we will get some starting tomorrow but have heard that before 😀
My mother always made marinated summer vegetables. Just the best! Cucumbers, tomatoes and onions... only she made sure they were completely covered with a mixture of white vinegar, a little water, sugar and some oregano. Not too much but enough Oregano to taste. The longer you marinate them the better they are.

Sometimes I don’t have all the ingredients, so I just put Italian salad dressing on top. Balsamic vinaigrette sounds delicious too.

1/4 c oil
Stir really good
Salt and Pepper

I make this by cutting up cucumber, tomato, and green bell pepper(because I don't like raw onion), and I marinate it in bottled Italian dressing. When I had a garden, we lived off this. Love it.
I have my coffee and turn in a video of you each morning. I then scroll to get ideas from you on what to cook or prepare that day. Haha I love it.

Harvested some cukes yesterday and made 12 half pints of sweet relish. Later this week when there is more cukes and tomatoes ready for pickin, I'll give this recipe a try. I also fried up some cukes last night for hubby's supper.
Your cucumber salad looks great. I recently bought Amish Farm Bar Soap. You are correct in saying it is the best soap. I even wash my hair with it instead of shampoo. Makes hair just as clean and softer.

I went to Williamsburg! Stayed in the Williamsburg Inn. They had Amoretta Sundays for dessert that were out of this world! At the time, I didn’t know what Amoretta was. It had sliced Almonds sprinkled over it! 😊

The fresh vegetables are the best part of summer. When I started making pico, I learned it comes out better if you halve the tomato, then remove the seeds with your finger, then chop. Your dish is less watery that way.

It's one of my husband's favorites. Sometimes, I slice onion and cucumbers and then add bread and butter pickles. He loves it.
