- I bought me a strawberry pot. I took old dead oak trees and planted my orchids in the strawberry pot with the Rottenwood from the old oak trees. I planted an orchid in each hole in the pot. I think it will be beautiful. I've never done this before I've never seen it done before but I like to invent new ways of doing things. Thank you so much for watching Cooking with Brenda GANTT.

Your such a patient teacher with your knowledge of food and plants. Love the blue center piece pitcher you turned upside down on the tray. They will be beautiful once they take off. Stay cool and hydrated dear one. I worry about you during those real hot days in AL.
I can’t wait to see how this turns out!! I pray the wind doesn’t blow that down and break those beautiful pot and pitcher! The wind here in Central Louisiana would blow that down. I have never had any luck with orchids. I can’t wait to see how this turns out. Fingers crossed!

The Strawberry Pot, is a name I didn't know that that pot was called. I like to see you handle the plant and not be looking scared about it. I did not know that they the old Oak bark! I enjoyed watching you transplant these Orchids.
I enjoy these videos so much!, I love being outdoors anyway!, so you know I had a ball watching this.

Morning , Brenda! I think your adventure in Orchid growing is very interesting. That’s a great idea to put all your plants in one unique pot, turned out really nice. I can remember going out in our woods as a little girl and thinking that with all the sounds of different birds chirping and just enjoying hearing the different sounds of the insects and even of other animals and the stillness of the woods that it was like I had entered into a whole new world ! I loved going into our woods because of that reason of a whole new experience and adventure.
You know God planned out this world and He planned for the earth and all that’s naturally in it to work together in harmony…so the old trees that fall down feeds all that’s around it and we can use it also to feed our gardens . A lot of people might not know what you are showing us in this video so Thank You for taking us with you to your woods and for showing us how we can use an old tree that has fallen down to use its bark and rotting areas which our plants benefit so much from that type of material as it is natural food for plants so it’s good for using it for our plants when we are gardening.
I’m sure that many people who aren’t able to go outside and garden anymore enjoyed this video tremendously .🪴🌱🌸🪻🌺💕Blessings 💕
I too lived near the woods as a child & neighbor used to gather mushrooms there. Good luck with the beautiful orchid pot planting. I gather rainwater, not ice cubes as nature intended. Love your garden segments. Awaiting my 3rd cookbook. God Bless you! 💗

Humidity in the south mixed with winter is worse than even the cold up in South Dakota. I was born and raised in Illinois with parents from Arkansas. I have experienced humidity and cold mostly in Arkansas. It goes right through you!
