Thank you I think I’m having this issue. I thought it was the blender thing in the back of the dash, after watching you replace that I saw you said air coming out of defroster watch this video, Very smart of you to do that. You saved me from having to do the wrong work and not fix the problem. Thank you so much!!!

Thank you for showing the part number on the o-Rings .. The other videos I watched on this just said small o-Rings .. Using the part number you had on here, I searched around and found a kit for this re-build on eBay for $4.50+tax & free shipping .. Thanks much, you helped an old guy out ;) ..

I need to do this AND replace my blend door actuator. I’ve been putting it off for about 2yrs now and it’s to the point, finally, that it’s no longer tolerable. Thanks for the vids!

My brother just did both of these for me. It's amazing. Blend Door actuator is definitely the bigger pain.

This went really good for me.. had a o ring kit from hobo freight.
    Although I’ve heard to use a 007 size I used a 008. It worked like a charm

I just finished doing exactly this for my 2002 F150. I found I did not need to straighten the large tabs or remove the side pieces. Instead, I was able to straighten only the small tabs and carefully remove the center plungers to replace the O-rings. Be careful to not let the springs fall out. Reassembly was easier and I made sure to use dielectric grease sparingly everywhere except the O-rings so the solenoids work OK in really cold weather. The grease might get a bit stiff until it warms up in the winter. Thanx for a good video.

70% comes out the front vents 30 from the defroster. Would this also be the fix? Just finished the blend door actuator with your video, helped a ton!

For me it would switch to 100% defroster when set to front. Your problem is still likely the EATC. It is easy fix to replace O-rings so give it a try.

A couple of points to note. When you are ready to remove the piston, be careful because there is a spring behind it and the plunger. Also, be careful about the pinkish seal at the end. Do not puncture it or you will have a vacuum leak. Good luck.

Nobody mentions the seal in the front and on older cars that is a big problem. I resealed them with marine adhesive sealant.

There is a black vacuum line that runs from engine through fire wall to EATC. Often this line will have cracks and leak vacuum. Look in engine compartment near firewall. I saw other Crown Victoria videos talking about this.
