Mine was still working but the backlights went out. They are soldered on the board so I went to eBay and bought a refurbished unit.
I like my old one better though because the new used one has been used roughly. So I'm going to see if a computer shop can replace the lights on my old one.

Oh, that you say that actually, my vent button doesn’t work, and I think one more of the buttons light is out. Thanks for reminding me I’ll probably have to tear it apart again and see if I could solder some lights on.

Yeppers, what an easy fix, took me about an hour to have my climate control unit back to working switching from defrost to vent :) I also lubed the new o-rings with Eletro Gel to keep them from drying up in the future! Nice job :) But now the new issue is the blower motor speeds up and slows down on it own?? and not set to automatic!

I just looked at the link. I posted the link that I used to purchase the O-rings. It says that the item is currently unavailable what you can do is just find the similar size. It doesn’t matter what you use. It just has to be the size of it.

My question is, on the back with all the vacuum lines attached there is one port that does not have a hose to it and it's open What is that used for, or should I say it's functionality?

@@LoveWhatYouDrive Thank you very much because I put a screw there to block it to see if that will make a difference. I've been driving it this way for maybe 3 weeks or so. I'm going to take the screw back out and see if it makes a difference.

That one port is not used. So far havent seen it used on any vehicle yet so not sure why its there but just know its unused and just leave it be.

So, there's no reason to take the whole assembly off the mounting body like that. I bent the tabs out and the plunger pops out,, replace o rings and slide it back in and bend the tabs back. much easier.
