Today I’m going to be sharing with you how to make the softest and most delicious buttery flour tortillas, I promise you, these tortillas are the best!!!!! PRO TIP!!!!
1. Make sure you have a good comal/griddle, this is the BEST ONE I have tried and its been my go to for 2 years, All-Clad HA1 Hard Anodized Nonstick you can find it here 👉🏼www.amazon.com/shop/claudiasv... under kitchen essentials
2. DO NOT DRY the dough while rolling add a little flour just enough to prevent the dough from sticking, DRY DOUGH MEANS HARD TORTILLAS!
3. use a good flour my top 2 are, King Arthur and Blue Bird if you cant find either one use Gold Medal
4. Add little water at a time, depending on weather and altitude, will depend how much water your flour will need, feel it! Once you have no dry flour and the dough is hydrated, sticky consistency! The dough is ready and just work it! Knead until is formed and is nice and soft, for 5 minutes max!
Ingredients: 10 tortillas at 90g each
552 g all purpose flour thats close to 4 cups( NOT SIFTED OR PACKED)
8 tbsp butter at room temperature, salted or unsalted it dont make a difference, when used unsalted I still use the same amount of salt, but of course it’s what YOU prefer 😅
salt OPTIONAL I use 2 tsp
1 1/4- 2 cups hot water (115 f degrees) I put 2 cups of room temp water in microwave for 1 minute
1 serving of love 💕

Im Native american myself and I know mi Abuela is staring down shaking her head...i got the dough pretty good...but my roll out skill tho...lol my tortillas end up shaped like Venezuela or Ecuador...sometimes Colombia if im paying attention...which is good for helping the kids with their geography homework I suppose...but anyway they're still muy rico...gracias por la receta... 😁😁😁

I’ve been making my family tortillas for over 30 years now. I was taught to use White Wing flour by my mother-n-law. At first she told my to put 1/2 cup of salt in the dough. Yes she hates me and you can imagine that everyone was sitting around the table at dinner time spitting out the first tortillas I ever made. It was so embarrassing. I was 8 months pregnant and I just ran to my room. Anyway I finally figured out how to make tortillas on my own, there were no CZcams/computers back then. I would love to make tortillas like yours!! They look very pliable, soft and delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipe, I appreciate it so much!!!
