Does this withstand heat and cold? I want to put this on my lawn equipment but I work in close to 98F and usually no lower than 20F. I want to be able to track my equipment and keep up with it if it is stolen. If you can do this as a test video I’m sure many other lawn care professionals would love to see it too. I know 7 who want to see this tested already lol
These are Bluetooth tracker and not GPS tracker. I don’t recommend Bluetooth trackers for stolen items as it doesn’t have its own GPS chip or communication. Thus it realize on other peoples cell phone with the Tile app. With that being said though, this summer I’ll install one inside a sealed pipe and see how it does after a month being outside in the sun.
Can you change the battery in this? How do you get it off of the TV remote. It’s very hard to get off.
No, It does not have a replaceable battery. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to get it off your remote.
Does that work on glasses 🕶️? I'm not sure where I can stick that? I don't even know if there's a room for it to stick to my glasses.
No, it's too big for glasses. There was another brand that was made for SOME glasses but I don't know if they make it anymore and it wasn't that great. Check out the video though. - czcams.com/video/scYHqfSHy-8/video.html
Doesn’t look like you can easily replace the battery like on the keychain one. Thing is the keychain one is a little big to double sticky tape to tv remotes and stuff like that.
Yes, only the Tile Pro 2022 of the 2022 line, has a replaceable battery. Which is too big for most remotes but it's still sad to see Tile not put replaceable batteries in all their trackers. They could if they really wanted to, even in the tile sticker. I've seen smaller trackers with replaceable batteries.
@@TrackThisNThat I think equipping them with rechargeable cells and small wireless charging coils would be even better. especially for the credit card format ones.

I've only seen one wireless charging wallet Bluetooth tracker over the years, but we are starting to see more come to market that have rechargeable batteries but they have wires you need to recharge them. Here's the newest one that works with Apple Find My -- geni.us/PebbleBeeCard I'll be reviewing it soon.
@@TrackThisNThat I guess putting them in the Tile mates I had didn't work out for them. I guess their business model depends on e-waste.
@@chaos.corner Some people complain that user-replaceable button batteries are dangerous to small children, cause they can swallow them. Maybe that was part of the reason.

So if you put this on a bike and the bike gets stolen. You can't find the bike if it loses Bluetooth? Or will the GPS maps continue to update??
Tiles are Bluetooth trackers, not GPS trackers. GPS trackers are better for stolen items but are still not very effecitve. They are easily found and thrown away.

@@jimlundrigan6192 it's powered by a CR2032 battery that is soldered to the circuit board. They replaced it for free so never bothered buying batteries to mess with it
So when out of range you have to rely on other tile trackers?
Not other tile trackers. It relies on other tile user's phone with the app running.

Nope. No QR code. They rube off easily anyways.

As long as you understand what a Bluetooth tracker is, understand the true size of the Tile community, how Tiles work, and what they don't do.
It's still too big. I know there are technological limitations but this would be a huge zit on a remote.

How did you get "bike" and briefcase and those other things on the app screen? All I see is "devices" and it's none of those things, I want to be able to find my WALLET...um no, "into the app" and hit the find button" does nothing. Not helpful although, well, I know your name, so it was worth the visit...not!
