- I'm still at my boyfriend's house as I film this vlog. I have a few bits of housework to do this afternoon, but later on, we head out together to Pontypool to visit Pontypool Park for the first time. We have a severe weather warning in place for South Wales today, and it gets very windy while we are out. I was very surprised to come across a dry ski slope in Pontypool park - that was the last thing I had expected to find.

I'm Imo and she's Izzy. We're a UK mother and daughter vlogging combo that loves to get out and about and exploring South Wales and beyond.

IB needs his own Crockery Washer. That was the most unusual ski slope! Here's info about the gates:
"The Pontymoile entrance to Pontypool Park was the original entrance leading to the house owned by the Hanbury Family. Pontymoile Gates (Welsh: Giatiau Pont-y-moel) are Grade II*, Cadw-listed fine metal gates that are known locally as the Sally gates. Sally was the nickname for the Duchess of Marlborough who presented them to the Hanbury family in thanks for their assistance in the execution of her late husband's will"

No wind sound even in that gale, impressive. That ski slope was wild. The tree tunnel needs nipping but you both made it without ripping a jacket. Thanks IB for some filming. Great scenery and those gates and signpost holders, such lovely vintage metalwork.

Should of walked up to shell cottage . It’s a really pretty place well in side is really cool it’s not open to the public very often but you can walk around the outside of it it’s a good walk Ive been told. And the gates are very pretty they have always fascinating to look at with so much details on them . Stay safe sweetheart ❤️

The fluffettes are managing well with that wind. Its been really blowy here the past 2 days!
They didn't do badly at all - although there were a few clips with worse wind noise, so I didn't include those in the final cut.

I broke my thumb on a dry ski slope many years ago. I love skiing but the dry slopes are awful, it’s so much easier to ski on snow. I’m impressed you didn’t have loads of wind noise today. I love that you were so happy when running and the footage was smooth 😀. Great to hear IB doing a bit of filming. I love his accent ❤️xx
Oh ouch! A broken thumb sounds horrifying. I can well imagine skiing on snow would be easier. I did have one clip with bad wind noise, but I didn't include it in the final cut for that reason. Most of it was great. Thanks so much for watching, Julia. x

So much technical stuff about colour. ha. Great footage throughout the gale force winds.. and no jiggly movements while videoing. Those gates are gorgeous .. all that scrolling detail. The ski hill is awesome. I don't do anything other than walk on my own two feet. I like absolute control over my own stability, keeping myself grounded. Not a risk taker at all. Had to giggle at how the two of you have everything covered when walking.. IB looks ahead, and you look down. 🤣
