  • I build a desk with hidden wireless charging. I used woodworking and metalworking on this project with a walnut top and a tube steel welded base. This modern industrial computer desk has a nice simple desk feel but with tons of character including a copper metal bowtie inlay. #wirelesscharging

You have 10+ minutes video and you didn't add any ad break, as a youtuber i would say that's awesome :)

Wise advice my dad gave me about welding (time served welder) - You don't have to be a good welder - you only have to be great at grinding.

I am a former high school shop teacher.....and the reason I subscribed, was your honesty to tell and show your mistakes. You make mistakes and you learn from them. There may be times that you need to take a deep breath and calm down. But we have all been there. And the fact you welded your clamp.....don't think the best of us haven't done that!! Be careful grinding down your welds, if the weld has not penetrated deep enough, grinding might just make the weld disappear or be severely weakened.....I think most channels hide the mistakes, and you don't, even with some pro's....your mistakes reminds them that they too always have to think about the next step with safety ALWAYS coming in FIRST.... continue on Son...your doing GREAT!!!

This is the most beautiful desk I have ever seen in my life. I am going to build my own desk at some point and I am definitely going to apply this to the design. Thank you for the inspiration man.

I'm always skeptical when people put metal frames with woodwork, but it really brought this whole piece together. The metal frame and copper inlay bring a nice modern look to the wood!

Excellent video! You explain everything so clearly. Also not hiding the mistakes. Well done Brad!

Great work, but honestly the most great aspect about this video is how well you explain the job to the viewers

The walnut and metal combo looks amazing and is an awesome build. Adding an inlay and hidden wireless charging? SO cool!!

Just making your own desk was amazing enough for me. Adding that wireless charger was a bonus. Great video!

This is awesome. I love the bowtie emblem in the surface. Hopefully your charger pad doesn't overheat and is able to last a while within your table! I probably would have cut about 1" of extra hole radius so it at least gets airflow around the sides of it. But if it works, it works.
