    I don't mind people staring 😊 I don't have that fear or paranoia that stare means bad or weird. I'm beautiful, people always stare. ❤

    I stayed in a apt for 13 days. I did have a big budget but that was the apt. I did the metro everyday, loved it. Try riding the metro in Los Angeles!! 🤣 I did research before I got there. I bought food from stores and ate in the apt. The metro was pretty easy. I loved everything about Paris. One thing is be careful with being hustled by Gypsies. I was armed with a little french but I basically got around with no problems. I traveled solo and I gotta say as a Black American male it was nice to forget and just be me. That was 14 years ago. Was going to go back last year but covid put the brakes on that. I would recommend getting the Travelers Eyewitness book for Paris/France. Hope to go back in the winter of 2022. ✌🏾🌻👍🏾❤️💐🌼🌺🌹🌸🌷

      If you're considering France for the language, you could also research other French speaking European countries like Switzerland and Belgium! though these countries are bilingual and have German sides, it may be possible to study in the French side! Research scholarships too. Best of luck to you and God bless you!

    The airport I was referring to the video is the Charles de Gaulle Airport - Paris's main international airport...Aside from that, I would love to hear about your own experiences! Did we share similar experiences or was your time travelling there much different? Comment below 💛

    i don't understand why you talk about your experience as a black woman in France. In france, there are no difference between color... in fact nobody feels he has to given its point of view as black

    • @ShauntelAngelica
      @ShauntelAngelica  Před 3 lety +14

      Thanks for your comment. Did you watch the beginning of the video? I mentioned that speaking about my experience being black are for those who will find it useful for their own trips to France (which are perhaps some black travellers to France) You may not find it useful , but there are people who do.Did that answer your question?

    • @stepahead5944
      @stepahead5944 Před 2 lety +2

      The "colorblind" approach just isn't true. When you ignore and invalidate the real experiences of others causes harm. What you haven't experienced or refuse awareness of doesn't chance reality.

    Oh no... I always say, if you don't speak the language, always go with someone who can! France is big on architecture, you're not gonna like it if you 1 don't speak French and 2 don't like old buildings. I hope you ate a lot girl, you could eat for weeks in France for free. Did you visit Etienne?

    Did you get to go to the south of France. Paris is dirty though, and smelly in some parts. I thought at night it was a beautiful city, and I enjoyed the food.
