  • Discover the trail-blazing potential of Maxxis's latest offering - the Aspen ST XCO/XCC tire - in today's video.
Building on the legacy of the well-regarded Aspen, the Aspen ST takes performance up a notch with even lower rolling resistance. Perfect for those dry, fast courses, it's designed to give you that competitive edge where speed matters.
I've equipped the Aspen ST on the rear for that swift, responsive feel, keeping the standard Aspen up front to ensure I don't compromise on grip. It's a combo that promises precision and pace - come see it in action.

Hi, I‘m very glad these work for you, especially as you‘re in the same weight class as i am. 😊 Can you compare the Aspen St to Mezcals on Asphalt, how does it corner, is it silent? I‘m looking for wide Bikepacking Tires for 50/50 gravel and asphalt. Thanks!

Hi, Mezcal was long time my favorite tire. I was running the ones with the brown side wall and those didn't had a lot of protection there, so pay attention to this. Aspens ST are definitely faster, the new compound is doing well as well on the wet, what was not the case with the 3C (with the standard Aspen of course). For 50/50 gravel asphalt I would go with the Aspen ST. They really silent. I haven't tried the ST on the front wheel yet, but if you go with gravel and not a heavy loose one then you will be fine. Just be careful with muddy terrain. If it would a long bikepaking adventure, with a risk of muddy roads I would go with the standard Aspens but with the Maxspeed compound and definitely not the 3C as wet conditions is not their strength. Hope it helps.

Ahoj, jsou ty pláště opravdu tak dobré? Přemýšlím o rozměru 29x2,4, jezdím 50% asfalt, 50% lesní cesty a za sucha. Hledám rychlý plášt.

Ahoj, tak to bych do nich šel. Zatím za mně nejrychlejší plášť.
