You have an excellent ear my friend. 100% correct in your description of the tuning of these and that is why I love my P8’s! I ordered mine with the 4.4 balanced cable option. It may not have been available on the early release.
Thank you for your honest and sincere review, I bought the performer 8 for all the good reviews, I've only been with them for 10 days and the truth is that I don't like them, the first listen is Wow but with time you realize that it is not musical I no longer use them. Many users use the music to listen to their headphones, I prefer to use the headphones to listen to music. I wish I had seen your review before buying them. Greetings, you are the best

This set needs burn-in for 200 hours , high quality cable is required, good seal tips are required, turn hi-res on, lower the mids with eq , then it all sounds amazing, cable cable cable , good cable , I never use stock cable , they are a trash to me.
@@tonedeafmonk I am 85% vs 15% here. I listen to music when I work, workout or travel mostly because I don't have time to put in 'critical' listening sessions. On occasion, I'll notice the "Oh, I didn't know that instrument existed there". Being too critical drains the fun out of this hobby. Thank you for your good work man!
Honest, earnest, straightforward review of P8... thanks for adding some context to the whole P8 lovefest. Hey, how does SR7 compete with P8 (or does it 🤔)? Musical vs monitor?
After spending more time with the SR7 I found I prefer the FAN2 overall for my vocal set the bass between the two switch positions is too drastic and I couldn't come to a happy medium. Some will love it some won't.
Not buying that one insider talk is wonky tuning in the highs and too much money ikko is asking for. Love my OH10 too bad. Same as the Yanyin Canon MKII overpriced won't sell.

I already own the P8 and I really like it, best part is I can also just plug it into my mobile phone without my Qudelix and it still sounds good. I'm really interested in the 10th, also in the aür neon pro and I listen to all kinds of music, but specially melodeath like fires in the distance and be'lakor and rock. Do you think the 10th AE would be a good upgrade for these genres? I'd like a little bigger soundstage and a little more bass. I'd like to own the Mest Mk2 but it's out of my range and the 10th AE sounds also pretty good :-). Thanx a lot!!
I’m a fan of metal and I just ordered the 10th as well. I’m sure it will make for a good time. I really like my p8 and mangird tea 2 for metal, but the penon really seems appealing for the price. Besides I don’t own any iem with an est driver, the only trib I have is a unique melody mext.
This one seems to have too much overlap with some of my more neutral IEM's which isn't my preferred sound signature, so I'll pass on these but... After watching HBB's video on Aful, is be interested in getting your take on their Band series of IEM's. They seem like they'd have a fuller/meatier sound signature. Any chance you'll get them in for review?
If I come across a used one maybe but there is another one on my Radar from American Spirit and the brand Night Oblivion should be reasonable in its price and tuned very well 10BA set 👌

I'm a musician and I play bass and piano. I the past I struggled with bassy sets because they change the tone of my bass. With piano it's not that much of an issue. But I'm looking forward to trying these out. Thank you for your review.
Thank you for the reply. For this budget I have other ideas but I recently tested the 64 audio A4s and the A6t and realised I wasn't too far off with my Fiio FHE. But it has a little peak at 3k which messes with the distortion part of my bass, so I figured I would give the p8 a shot. Achso du sprichst ja Deutsch...Ich hab sie gebraucht für 100€ bekommen. Bin gespannt.
Great video. Will you do a video on the Yanyin Canon and Canon 2? Now the 2nd version is out I see the original is going for quite cheap. (I did see you sell your og Canon recently)
Don't think I will pick up the New Canon , I think Yanyin are over priced ATM. New stuff from SIMGOT and Hisenior on my radar. I also have a Sound Rhyme SR5 coming as well.

I Upgraded my cable , it sounded amazing.eq lower the mids , so fall in love with the p8 now.

I think the bass is actually pretty dang good on these, when it’s called for. I’m using spinfit w1 on mine.

P8 and SR7 are polar opposite tunings can't compare the two .

The 10th is great move V shaped fun kinda opposite of the P8 good to have a variety of sounds. Bigger stage on the 10th 100%

This iem takes eq very well if you need to spice things up.

Not sure if you have the KBEAR StormRiver for price was great. Also look for the Tansio Mirai Sands
Yes I second the sands, I’ve heard really good things about it’s high end. I’ve never tried it myself, but some folks worship it.
