The chorus is actually in Ukrainian but yeah, the rap part is in Bulgarian. There's also Czech in the intro and outro. :)
Astonishing song. Made me cry actually.

I can understand why Sinan was confused. I'm Ukrainian native speker and I also thought that the chorus was in Bulgarian or maybe another Slavic language. Because the singer has a very strong accent and some broken Ukrainian lyrics in chorus
@@Yara-ox5my yeah, I also noticed that, for example the palatalisation
@@Yara-ox5my Im Ukrainian living in Czech Republic I and was surprised how GOOD the pronunciation was, no idea where "very strong accent" came from. The confusion was because of the firs two words sound very similar in Ukrainian and Bulgarian
Can't believe it took 10 years to hear again Bulgarian language at Eurovision without Bulgaria participating. It's insane! 😂 Full support of bulgarians to the song! 🇨🇿🇧🇬
Thank you so much from the Czech Republic! 😍❤I was waiting all those years for my country to FINALLY send something more traditional, ethnic, folklore, with (also) Czech language, connected to our culture... 😭🥰 The mix of multiple Slavic languages (Czech, Ukrainian, Bulgarian), the deep meaningful lyrics and the overall message... can't think of a better representative of my country ❤
Glad you are happy. This feels very unique ❤
This is greatness and healing for the world 💓
Oh, I see your tears Sinan and Im so happy for you. 🥰 I love your reactions
Vesna is a female folk band led by singer and lyricist Patricia Fuxová. She founded the group in 2016 while still studying at the Jaroslav Ježek Prague Conservatory. In addition to Patricia, the founding members were her classmates Bára Šůstková (violin), Andrea Šulcová (flute) and Tanita Yankovová from Bulgaria (piano). The original idea was for a group that would be all-female and celebrate Slavicness and femininity. First song Morana was released in 2017 and, in addition to Vesna, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra participated in it.
In 2018, there was a change and Andrea Šulcová and Tanita Yankovová left the group, but the group, on the other hand, grew with drummer Markéta Vedralová and pianist Olesya Ochepovská from Russia. In this lineup, Vesna is currently joined by bassist Tereza Čepková from Slovakia. She released her debut album Pátá bohyně Vesna in November 2018 and earned a nomination for the Anděl (The Angel) 2018 awards in the Discovery of the Year category.
Recently, the Norwegian singer Aurora also chose them as an opening act for her concert in the Czech Republic. Former member Tanita Yankovová returned to the group for the Eurovision song My Sister's Crown, who enriched the song with Bulgarian rap, so Vesna sings in four languages in the song - Czech, English, Ukrainian and Bulgarian.
Excellent song. Love the multiple languages (especially Ukrainian!) Can’t wait to see how they stage it. OMG William: “give the girl a vodka.” You kill me.
Hahaha. I know she can go even bigger. Cannot wait 🎉
This is not playful William hunny, this is POWERFUL. My favourite entry so far, hands down. I have a feeling it will stay that way.
Two very devastating earthquakes hit my country. I've been getting bad news for the past week. This song is the only thing that keeps me away from it all. What can I say? With one word, perfect. The best eurovision video clip ever. They re my winner. And I don't think it will change.🇹🇷🇨🇿🙏♥️
Hope you stay safe. Take care ❤️
When is coming reaction on Slovenia, Joker Out - Carpe Diem 😍?
I sing about the fact that - my sister will not be in a corner and never let her braids get tangled - my sister you are beautiful and a strong crown will be yours - it is about the Slavic peoples. but also a very strong symbolism for today's times and the war.
Song was banned by Russia and Belarus 4 hours after its release on CZcams
Lol what????
that’s the biggest award a song like this can get
No, it's not!
@@rina-grau it's not true
@@garcsstuff6734 it's not true. Turn your brain
Please react to the music video. It's even more theatrcal and meaningful
I am smashing my replay button on this song. My favorite entry this year and my favorite Czech entry ever!
LOVE IT!
Vesna's song is AMAZING! POWERFUL!!! ^^
Loved it!
Amazing beautiful and very brave song. Slavic sisters are strong together and they are not scared to show it.
Very well done! Great performance!
I’m proud of my home country the Czech Republic.
1:24 I'm here for this reaction
So true, lots of personality, and some very nice moments. To my ear, it seems the sound mixing needs some improvement: I'm hearing static when all the voices and backing track come together.
Are yall not gonna make a video about Slovenia? /gen
this has ethnic vibes with great music, great melody, smooth transition between the languages and strong message that does not seem forced. to me, this is the upgraded version of (or another take on) Kalush Orchestra's Stefania and this can potentially get 200++ televote points. Prague 2024?
I can see that!
❤ 🥰
Also they reminds me ridiculous parody on Dakh Daughters
You should check out the clip as well. You would love it. :)
the chorus has the same rhythm as Stefania, but a little faster.
Prag 2024
Lol no
Why you don't react to the Slovenian song Carpe diem?
What about Slovenia reaction?
Is a good song but Eurovision are delayed to present the song, I don't want another Alina Pash moment, i love the song of Alina, Czech Republic is in my top 5 and deserves to win this year
Where are the blanca paloma reacción?
Deban already reacted to it. They don’t react twice 😅
Chour is in Ukrainian, not Bulgarian
Ukrainian and English and Bulgarian
For those who did not understand the band name is a reference to Prague Spring or Czech Spring when Soviet's army invaded in country on January 1968, killed an injured many peaceful citizens.
In the fables and myths of the ancient Slavs, Vesna is the goddess of spring and love, the sister of Morena and the lover of the god Perun.
TRY TROLLING SOMEONE ELSE YOU FAKENEWS
If you finally understand that the chorus is in Ukrainian and "my sister's crown, don't take it down" relates not to Bulgaria, the meaning becomes even more elevating.
I can really see Prague 2024 happening
Prague 2024
HOROR
Thats not bolgarian...😄💙💛 Це українською.
Yeah, Intro and outro is in Czech, parts in English, chorus in Ukrainian and rap part Bulgarian! Omg I love this song, especially combination of 3 beautiful Slavic languages.❤️

Please don’t sing this in english - use only the other languages!
I know this is huge in the Eurovision bubble, but I can't get over the feeling that this is just a vote-grab, with the lyrics in Ukranian. Maybe I will, plenty of time until May
It's a hype on Ukrainian tragedy
@@nomercy-my7rf it's not. It's paying tribute to ukranian culture and language. It shows that ukraine is its own and will not surrender.. coming from a group with a russian singer in it. I see it as quite powerful
@@sannev8407 I read lyrics and I'm Ukrainian, and this song is not about support of Ukraine. Especially this song sounds ridiculous when russian girl sings. This song is offensive.
@@nomercy-my7rf i don't nee any offensive meaning in it, rather many positives. Never does it mention russia or russian language, it reflects sisterhood between slavic nations but still in their own languages. I actually think the whole vibe and message of the song is very pro- ukraine.. and i don't see why it's a problem that a russian girl is in the group, when she is obviously against the war and supports ukraine... after all, this is still a Czech songs with lyrics in Czech, English, Bulgarian and Ukranian and i actually thought that is nice, especially since they worked together with an Ukranian musician on the lyrics..
@@nomercy-my7rf Then why its banned in russia?
Not a fan, I mean the message is strong but the lyrics not
I dont like this song. Did you react to Slovenia's song...Joker out ( Carpe diem )?
Its not bulgarian its ukrainian chorus
They should skip the rap part. The rest of the song is amazing with the traditional parts.
This is cringe
Again sympatie votes ? If they win it's so sad for all artist who tried last year and as well this year EBU better be awere that next year they will have even less countires.
They should be banned, because they have russian in the band
The Russian trolls are here again 🤦🏼♂️
@@nomercy-my7rf She is not responsible for what her country did to Ukraine!! Wake up to realise not all people there are bad.
It's Ukrainian.
