I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had that reaction to Jezinky. It's great for what it is, but funnily enough there are two versions that are out on the streaming platforms: An acapella version (the one that is performed here) and a "Sinfonia" version (with actual instrumentation) and that latter one is outstanding, it feels so much more connected as one whole piece than the acapella version

I think I’ve read somewhere that she’ll use the symphonia version if she wins. I guess it would make sense to do a more intimate version now and save the high impact version for the big stage. Either way they’ll have to elevate it somehow if it ends up going to Turin and I trust that she will.
i’m currently obsessed with lights off and jezinky. i think i’ll give my vote to jezinky tho! SO UNIQUE AND SO BEAUTIFUL 💛

Jordan Haj with his voice could really do amazing at eurovision. Although making a duet is always a disadvantage since they tend to forget about the viewers while staring at each other. Another song with Jordan solo would me great!
Good duet is not that easy to achieve. In my opinion, duets are easy to make yet hardest when they want to be top master class.
For me it's between We Are Domi and Giudi. Both can flop, but both can get a great result for the Czech Republic if executed well.
Execution definitely key. We wish CT luck!

If Giudi wins, I'm like come on Czechia would send their best entry ever. Im okey for Annabelle, Domi and Eliz but they wouldn't make great result as Giudi(my opinion). Annabelle has a great song too but I think 2022 will have so so many rock entries so Annabelle would qualify but I dont think that she would make top 10. I'm team for Giudi 🌟💥 I hope you will like it too🔥

czech songs this year are simply amazing, so many good songs and in my opinion at least three who can give czech republic their best result in years!
Most of the songs are quality (Lights Off being my favourite of the bunch) but Mikolas Josef got 6th place in 2018, I don't think any of these will beat that that. Lake Malawi in 2019 almost made the top 10 too (11th place, let's see if any of the songs this year can get top 10.

My God.... I LOVE the selection of songs. Czech Republic aren't playing this year! Everything sounds so delicate, fresh, light and modern.
Personally my favourites are We Are Domi and The Valentines. I also really love Skywalker & Elis Mraz.
Least favourite for me is the song by Jordan Haj & Emma Smetana.

We Are Domi are so many levels above the rest in my opinion. I know it's usually hard to stage EDM/electronic songs, but I think this one in particular has a lot of potential. I voted for them twice

Well, not all the songs need dynamism, Jezinky it’s perfect without that, keeps the atmosphere of magic, and as Deban said has goosebumps quality. I think it’s the best option for czech republic
Jezinky is like Sebi, many people don't understand it and dislike it, but some love it simply for the vibe and will vote. I did and I hope in Turin they will change it somehow a little bit to make a stronger climax. The only thing I'm not sure about it is its jury appeal or maybe possible jury-unfriendliness?
I also wouldn't mind Imma Be and Lights Off (but I feel like this one could have some problems with the staging).
Annabelle is my favourite but all contestant are very good.
Valentines or Elis Mraz . Both of them have:
quality,
many layers accessible to wider audience,
good performers,
bring nice energy, mood, they can be nice moment on the stage,
Radio friendly.
memorable (questionable for some ppl)
Charisma
Overall nice competition, but these two have the most advantages if they end up on ESC. This is just my honest opinion.

Have to disagree with you about "By Now". I think it's a very dreamy song and the two singers have great chemistry. It may not sound like a typical "high impact" song but the same could also be said about The Common Linnets. A song doesn't have to be upbeat or loud to be "high impact". I think with great staging this would surprise a lot of people and do well at Eurovision.

You say Jezinky goes nowhere and then you say you like Domi which has exactly the same problem. It just goes nowhere. After 1 minute you saw everything. I don't get it.
@@modernmoonlight7350 The lead singer in We are Domi at least has changes of tone in her voice throughout the song and the song has an actual structure, which keeps me interested. It is the only song of the 7 I would listen to regularly, personally I would never choose to listen to Jezinky in my spare time.

I have Lights Off on loop since it dropped! I absolutely love it, the beat has tons of potential when it comes to staging, lights and camera movement, it's fresh, it will do well with nordic countries. I really hope it wins ESCZ. I get why Giudi gets so much hype, but the melody is too sparse and the song doesn't build to anything really. At first it's captivating but what else is happening? Jezinky would need a huge revamp to be competitive in Turin.

Overall I think this is a strong selection. Will they win? Probably not buy they will certainly not embarass themselves, whatever they choose (well, maybe with the duet 😁)
To me it’s Jezinky all the way. While I agree that as it is now it lacks a high impact moment and kinda goes nowhere, it has all the ingredients to end up being a unique and memorable Eurovision performance if it wins. I mean the visuals already! I fully trust that they’ll use the time until May to tweak and perfect it, after all that’s one of the reasons they have the NF so early. I can already imagine it being so iconic on the Eurovision stage. Out of the 7 songs Giudy is the risk worth taking, IF they do everything right I can even see it in the top 10 in the final.

This year I'm really proud of our national final. I wouldn't be ashamed of any entry except for Emma Smetana&Jordan Haj.
But JEZINKY is just out of this world, I live and breathe for it...
Personally, I just don't really like censored songs... so even though mostly I like Annabelle's song, I just can't get with the "running out of freaking time" bit🥴
Mikolas Josef's song was also censored in 2018, even more so than Annabelle's.
@@sav0001 yes, and I preferred the uncensored bits there aswell haha. But I feel like there it wasn't as obvious bc the lyrics were more dense and the censored parts weren't the main part of the song (like Zitti e buoni). Annabelle's to me gives me more of a Robin Bengtsson "so freaking beautiful" vibes.... If you know what I mean

Guys i watch almost every year. You are the expression of the expression. I mean, you really understand it and you can express yourself in all possible ways. I like that you like Elis Mraz and that you call Emma and Jordy artistic. But i do not find anything special about We are Domi. Not the song, nor the voice of the singer. Just ordinary, totally forgottable. Dont tell me you still remember the melody or rhytm... BTW do you know Jan Bendig and Marsell Bendig? These guys are really really tallented. But not this year in ESC national selection. I reccomend you Ciao Bella version, or Mashup with Elis Mraz and Jan Bendig, Kabedi or Marry Christmass from Marsell Bendig, or songs that the boys sing together in Gypsy language. Enjoy and thank you for all efffort!

My two favourites are GIUDI and Elis. While GIUDI is a little bit risky, but it may pay out, I consider Elis more confident and a kind of a safe choice, less risky than Jezinky.
