Dont ever forget, that at the end of the day is just a Chevy vehicle, you can add wings and the car could even fly, but is still a chevy! Owning a Lamborghini is a different dimesion and Obviously the chevy car guy can't afford it, not even mention is an SVJ - $700k + at this point !

@@minga007 understood . I own a vintage corvette , and yes sir you are correct. Owning a Lambo is a whole different level , I can’t afford the maintenance on one . Annual service on one of those is 5 grand and that’s not driving past an oil change . I know there’s people who can afford them . I’m a sea captain and working around the water ways and port cities I see more of them than most people ever do . Would be nice to have the funds for something like that . But I just rock my little Vette and be happy with it. Which BTW is worth 3X the original sticker 😎
@@ramieperkins8113 Cap, you are 100% correct and your answer is even wiser, my point is that No lamborghini owner, Im saying a Real Car lover and Lamborghini owner wil ever consider trading this car or any Lambo for a Chevy, unless you are just a person that consider just speed as your only passion, however if this little race would be from 0-60 or standing point, then the results will be totally different as the Z01 can't control the power it has, that's why the new Corvettes are Mid-rear engine position, which by the way was introduced by the Lamborghini Miura and all car manufactures followed, I own Lambos at this time, as well as Chevy trucks for my company and I wasn't trying to trow it down, but I do know the difference and that was my point, Enjoy your line of work Sir, looks Fun, your Vette is a classic and I do know their cost, is a great vehicle as well🤙🙏👍
@@minga007 the ZR1 is actually a better car overall. It’s a 1 year car, the last of the manual transmission options for a vette, and it’s a faster car in just about every way. The SVJ isn’t a slouch, but it’s slower on a road course, at a drag strip, and on the street. In fact I don’t know why you’d get the aventador over the huracan performance because it’s so much better for less money. The aventador to me is not worth the money, and might as well be worth $150k like the ZR1 is.

Why shocked? The vette isn't stock. If you send the Lamborghini to Underground Racing this isn't even in the realm of being close. UGR has had Lambos destroying Hennessy vettes and vipers. Mate up a junkyard LS1/2 to a junkyard Miata, spend a lil dough on a good clutch, intercooler & a big Garett turbo & you’ll be hanging w/ the big boys for cheap

I was at a track day at Barber MSP (me in my 2012 Boss 302) and there was an orange ZR1 in my group. That car is a weapon. it could pass anyone, anywhere at will. Shockingly fast.
My friend's boss has one and one night at the company BBQ he took me for a ride. I felt brutalized afterwards. It was raw, loud and vicious.

For anyone who doesn't know yet. The Lambo belongs to Randy from SavageGarage and the 1000hp Corvette is from StreetSpeed
On Willow Springs,the SVJ is slower than the ZR1, GT2RS,720S,Ford GT,918 Spyder, Huracan Performante and Dodge Viper ACR
All laps were done by Randy Pobst(sans Viper which was done by Chris Winkler)
Svj is faster around the Nurburgring than a zr1 and has a higher top speed and keep in mind the zr1 had 1000 hp

@@ericship8383 Walks it?? Hardly walking when it is just .01 quicker 0 to 60 and .04 in the 1/4 mile and costs close to $300,000 versus $125,000 for the Vette. I love the McLaren but a ZR1 is no joke and can run with just about any car that will actually be driven on the road. Most exotics are just ego boosters and rarely get driven which is the actual point of a car.

Fast is a lot of fun, but at the end of the day, one of them is a 1/2 million dollar 12-cylinder carbon fiber Italian work of art and the other is still a Chevy with a V8.
At the end of the day, it is a chevy with a v8 that is a fraction of the cost to buy, modify, and maintain, with an equally as nice interior, still a shit load of carbon fiber, and a better sound imo.

Yes, I'd also rather have the car that costs 5 times as much. Could get me a built ZR1/Viper (or both) for highway pulls, a 458 for sheer purity and beauty, and a new M5 CS for hauling people/winter. The gintani SVJ sounds purely orgasmic though, but it would be a worthy trade.

The aventador svj still has a higher top speed anyway also the svj beats the zr1 around the track and the aventador svj is naturally aspirated while the corvette has a supercharger next time call your American cars trash since you need mods to beat a stock Lamborghini
