The Honda Cub is probably the most Iconic motorcycle ever built in line with the Goldwing. I was given the Honda Cub C125 for a few weeks to cast my eye over it and give it my own independent review.
These are my thought's on this motorcycle (Yes that is what it is... a motorcycle!! : ))
Please take a look at this review and let me know what you think of the bike. While you are here, I could do with more subscribers so hit the "like" button and subscribe, would be huge for me!!
The Honda Super Cub is a popular and iconic motorcycle that has been in production since the 1950s. It is known for its simple and practical design, ease of use, and fuel efficiency. The 2022 Honda Super Cub continues the tradition while incorporating modern features. Here are some key details about the 2022 Honda Super Cub:
    1. Engine: The 2022 Super Cub is powered by a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It delivers smooth and reliable power suitable for urban commuting and light riding.
    2. Design: The Super Cub features a classic step-through design with a low seat height, making it accessible for riders of all sizes. It has a clean and retro-inspired appearance, with round headlights and a simple, uncluttered bodywork.
    3. Transmission: It comes with a semi-automatic transmission, commonly referred to as a "Honda Cub" transmission. This system does not require manual clutch operation but still allows you to shift gears with your foot. This makes it easy to ride and suitable for beginners.
    4. Fuel Efficiency: The Super Cub is known for its excellent fuel efficiency. With its small engine size and efficient design, it can achieve impressive mileage, making it an economical choice for daily commuting.
    5. Features: While the Super Cub maintains its classic charm, the 2022 model incorporates modern features. It includes LED lighting for enhanced visibility and a digital instrument panel that provides essential information such as speed, odometer, fuel level, and more.
    6. Suspension and Brakes: The Super Cub is equipped with a telescopic front fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear, offering a comfortable and balanced ride. It has a single-disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, providing adequate stopping power for urban riding.
    7. Practicality: The Super Cub is designed to be practical and versatile. It has a small storage compartment on the leg shield for small items like a phone or wallet. Additionally, it offers a relaxed riding position, making it suitable for daily commuting or running errands.
The 2022 Honda Super Cub continues to be a reliable and efficient motorcycle with a timeless design. Its simplicity, ease of use, and practicality make it a popular choice for riders around the world, whether they are beginners or experienced riders looking for a fun and reliable daily commuter.
    Thanks E.R : )

Do not be put off by it's size, I used my new 2022 cub for a Scotland trip from Reading to John O Groats and back, 1710 miles plus camping gear, the Applecross pass is a doddle on such a light bike and the North coast road which is mainly single track was easy as being slim you can squeeze through most of it without using passing places. I got about 110 mpg and planned my fuel stops between 80 and 90 miles between fills plus I carried a spare 2 ltrs which I did not use. Motorways are possible just tuck behind a truck doing their speed limit and make sure they know you are there if you are touring make sure you carry 19mm and 14mm ring spanners for adjusting your chain I did mine twice and lubed it daily.

A marvellous machine for pottering around on and commuting, ER. I remember how unbreakable the C50's and C70's were in the 1960's. The MPG on the Super Cub is better than the 60's models which shows how fuel efficiency has greatly improved.

Lovely bike that older riders have all owned it seems in their beginnings. £3800 seems a lot until you think cheaper than most e bikes. I prefer the sh125 as the belt drive removes a lot of maintenance. On my anf125 I used to have to take the chain off and soak in paraffin every 3-4 months even with a chain guard which is an utter pain to remove to lube chain. Belt change on sh is 12000 mile interval. U can understand in foreign climes these are the best mode of transport. Lovely review. Govt should incentivise these for young people

    Hi Exeter rider
After watching loads of the clips on CZcams and waiting months for one. Finally have one, normally ride a 1250 bike and bought one as a runaround and quick commute. Brilliant does 40 miles to a litre at easily. I do use on 8 miles of carriageway and it's little harder there ,although will cruise 55 mph realistically and 45 mph being its Happy area .
Nice review and anyone buying one shouldn't be disappointed, over a 100 miles sales since 1954 can't be wrong.

A very good review interesting and entertaining with most of what we want to know for most of us.
Probably the quickest and most fuel efficient urban get around that can double as an out of town safe commute to work on A roads and that if it’s fitted with an after market screen and back box (because of very unexpected U.K. weather)and storage in place of the pillion seat it is perfect because of its light weight its easy to shove into small spaces for weather and security protection. No wonder the original is the worlds best selling bike for Honda. This is a future classic that will probably give you your buying price back after a few years.

It does have a clutch that you can graduate to smooth your shifts - it’s activated by the foot pedal and with a blip on a downshift you can be silky smooth. It’s centrifugal so you don’t have to worry about it, but when using the box you can get quite a lot of control

The features I like about this bike are: narrow width, ideal for filtering in town. Enclosed chain - good for minimal maintenance.
As a solo rider I would have preferred a rack, rather than a pillion seat, I believe the previous model had this.
I had a look at this model at my Honda dealer, and I can report that the build quality was superb.

@exeter rider well I did think about that, just it was an option an if your going to run it into the ground, it doesn't really matter. Someone said about depreciation when I splashed and bought the r1200rt and a bmw 730d new in 2005. Both are still going strong and I'm not arsed the bike is probably worth more than the car now.

Nothing wrong with lane splitting, it's silly not too. Why sit on all that and ADD to the queue, I'm not holding anytime up so it would be silly to just sit there filling the roads up even more.

@@exeterrider In the USA it's very different, absolutely no one is expecting lane splitting. Lane splitting which is perhaps common countries like England, Italy, China, or India... example... would turn you into bug splat road kill in the states.
It's only done by hotshot ninja bikers usually breaking the law speeding many times beyond the speed limit on the interstates. Any time I've been a passenger with another driver in an automobile and this happens around them, it's nothing but cursing and swearing LOL. And I've felt the same.. back when I use to drive cars.
I don't even think I'd do it in a traffic jam, just because it's considered so rude over here.. unless it was a post apocalyptic situation and I was open to cheating any way possible to scramble ahead of everybody to get out of a big city asap before an ICBM hit the city.
Cell phones and road rage don't help matters, or big trucks displacing a lot of wind or throwing gravel everywhere... so... I've never been tempted. I can wait in line like everyone else. I don't need to be getting snagged by someone's rear view mirror :)
