  • Owner review of a 2013 Daytona 675 after about 13,000 miles, leave any questions below, this is an honest review of the good and bad on this motorcycle. I don't see a whole lot of video's on this motorcycle and as good a bike as it is I just had to share my experience in living day to day with this beautiful machine.

    I have a 2011 675R With that same Comp. Werkes Slip on in SS. It's a great piece man. Bike always sounds amazing and on decel from the higher parts of the powerband, you get these beautiful pops from the exhaust. Love that Carbon bro :)

      Yea I loved the hints of carbon fibre I had on this thing...carbon sliders with the exhaust...just enough to add a little something...and yea the decel pops and downshifts sound amazing with this thing! ride safe man #RubberSideDown

    Thanks for the solid review, bud. It sounds like it's treated you well, over 14k. Lotsa good points to think about. I'm looking at the 2013- 675R for next year. I wonder how much the Brembos will help with the braking situation.

      If you're getting the r with the Brembo calipers go for it, I don't hear many complaints about them at all

    Great video! Can I ask why didn’t you go with the 675R that way you don’t need to mod the bike?

      @tonybailey89  Před 6 lety

      I’m a bigger guy (5’10” 215)...I wanted the softer suspension...but I do regret not getting the quick shifter...which by the way is only a $400 add on for the OEM add on part vs the price jumping to the R version...still satisfied with this while I had it

    Big upgrade from the Roma scooter, I get why you say faster than most 600's, as this is an inline 3, vs something like a zx636 which is 636 inline 4, being pretty competitive speeds to this

    • @tonybailey89
      @tonybailey89  Před 6 lety +1

      Chase Null yea most definitely a huge upgrade lol, this thing would get me to 165+ even at 220lbs, and it's not just the displacement it's the way this bike delivers power... I've seen plenty of Hayabusa bikes get walked down by a ZX-10 300cc's smaller in engine size

      I know what you mean, personally im a zx636 fan myself just because of kawi's smooth as hell power delivery and great setup they have for their bikes, but i prefer the delivery of a gsxr750, went from ninja 650(fun bike) to a gsxr 750 (buying in about 4 days) im hype for that jump i can only imagine what its like to go from a scooter with cheap pegs that fall off to a daytona

    • @tonybailey89
      @tonybailey89  Před 6 lety

      Chase Null lol yea that was ridiculous how I literally kicked the pegs off of the Roma scooter 😅😂, but the benefit of learning on a slower bike was my street riding habits were solid and I learned how to look ahead and ride very defensive because I didn't have the power to be stupid lol... The 636 has a great midrange from what I hear and that GSXR 750 is light with almost the power of a 1000, great compromise of power and handling!

    How costly is the minor and major services? That being said at what miles do you need to bring it in for each

    • @tonybailey89
      @tonybailey89  Před 4 lety

      Expensive enough that I sold it, oil changes $350 every 6k miles and services $800 every 12k miles due to valve adjustment intervals smh 🤦🏾‍♂️

    the cat is still there its right in front of your slip on. sweet bike tho. I have the same one. I highly recommend the quick shifter by far the best upgrade I bought for it

    Did you buy it New? When did the coolant leak start. Shouldn't the warranty take care of that.

    • @tonybailey89
      @tonybailey89  Před 8 lety

      Yea I bought it brand new off the showroom floor, coolant started leaking once I noticed it and it's been about every 2-3000 miles I have to fill it up... Yes warranty covers it but it's annoying and the bike runs hot

    • @fodayk7156
      @fodayk7156 Před 8 lety

      That sucks, I'm getting a brand new 2013 myself. So even after the warranty resolve it, still leaks or you just gotta top it off 2 to 3k miles.

      @tonybailey89  Před 8 lety +1

      +Foday K I mean don't let that take away from anything positive I said about the bike it all still stands... But yes the dealership eventually just started giving me free coolant and yes 19,000 miles later I'm still topping it off every few thousand miles

      Foday K I 've heard the coolant piping is loose from the factory. Did you tighten them all down?

    Of course it’s gonna be faster than these Japanese 600 because that’s a 675? 😂

      Adam Kue lol good job captain obvious, want a cookie 🍪

      @tonybailey89  Před 6 lety +1

      Adam Kue lol it's the dumbest you've heard all year but you just called me a cracker, I'm actually black 😅... And on a more intelligent note, why can an S1000rr beat a Hayabusa when that engine is 300cc larger, more torque, higher rpm limit, and it's lighter... Displacement ain't everything... Like I mentioned this bike is light as a feather and it's tuned for torque early and power up top in the rev range when the 600's are all top end hp

    • @tonybailey89
      @tonybailey89  Před 6 lety

      Adam Kue I don't even know why I gave you the time of day with a response... 😒 and fye it's "your dumb ass" not you're dumb ass... Lol dumb ass...
