I also remember the first time I saw a daytona.
I was 16, was planning on convincing my parents to let me do the A1 licence. Was going to the grocery store during lunch break at school (is quite common in Germany). Chilling with the friends walking back to school and a white and blue daytona (the last 675) was rolling towards us. I did the rev gesture to the rider and he revved the engine up and it sounded so good.
That was a highlight moment.
It looks like your Arrow pipe doesn't have a cat, maybe that's why it's abit too loud.
But I think a db-Killer would also be a cheaper fix to this problem.
I think the exhaust is gold ish either because it's titanium or because of just road grime being burnt on the pipe over time, the headers on my cb500f are copper-ish even atm whilst being silver at the beginning.
Aesthetically I'd also get a smoked windscreen, I don't think opaque black ones are nice. And Some smaller signals to make it look a bit streamline.
I am heavily heavily considering picking up a used 2012 Daytona 675. It's got about 65k km on it. Not exactly low but not terrible. I have viewed and test rode the bike and it feels all good. The 2 owners seem to have taken care of it. Coming from a street triple 765 rs, I was shocked how well my 5'7" frame fit the bike. Thanks for your review!
No problem. Hope it helped. I looked at an 80k R6 but it still sold for silly money so I left it. My Daytona has 36k and you wouldn't know it.
You are correct it is the best looking sport bike ever. my 08 black with gold wheels looks better tho 😊
Have you had any trouble with the bike not having ABS or traction control?
No problems so far. I rode a gen 1 YZF R125 for about 4 years with no ABS/Traction control and so I was probably used to it by the time I got on this bike though.
If you have good tires and are not too jumpy on the brakes or acceleration it shouldn't be an issue.
You just have to mentally click that if you're riding in the rain that the grip is alot less than usual. Remeber the time on my 125 where i blocked the rear and skidded 20m for a red light
The arrow can is factory, it was just a factory option.
OH ok. That's nice to know. I had assumed a previous owner had fitted it but maybe not. I may still try out a stock one and see how it feels and sounds.
Try finding a db-killer for the arrow@@RokyRode
