I've had it a bit over 1 year now. it even came with aftermarket air suspension :) I'm always driving to different places because of work (construction), and this is the perfect daily to do just that. comfortable, quiet, nice interior, runs strong and has good pull for being a 20y/o car...and it looks nice. what more could you want

    I currently own an '01 UL and the radar adaptive cruise is in full working order. To put it lightly, the system was WAY ahead of its time. A car merges in front of me? No problem, the car will slow itself down all the way to about 30 mph. The car in front of me speeds up? LS430 shoots right back up to cruising speed which can be set all the way to 85mph. You can cruise on an express way with medium traffic and never have to touch a pedal, its absolutely incredible.

    There's one for $8700 with 59k miles and I'm legit thinking about looking at it. I drive a 2013 Ford Focus SE with a manual but it just doesn't have the greatest power as far as passing and it's starting to fall apart. The LS430 looks beautiful and it seems to do really well in snow with snow tires, even better than my Focus. And the fact you can increase ground clearance makes it much easier.

    I seriously love my 2003 Ls430 , the way it handles for a vehicle of its size , the quality build of the vehicle and features and the fact that it has aged so well with no issues mechanical etc , I also love the fact that I pretty much had the vehicle given to me as I paid $2,650 for it it was elderly owned by a Japanese gentleman and meticulously taken care of, the leather etc looks like a brand new vehicle still, the only small thing that doesn't work is the button on the trunk but it still opens from the key fob and the button pop on the dash , Toyota/Lexus made an amazing vehicle for it's time that still looks great today. Great review by the way thanks for making it.

  • @MrMrremmington
    @MrMrremmington Před 8 měsíci +1

    Great coverage. FYI rear Seat massagers have a continuously variable switch. Oscillating vents. They are controlled according to the temperature set independently on the driver side and the passenger side They can change the degree of oscillation corresponding to the different set temperatures for each front seat passenger. For example, if I want warm for the driver and the passenger wants cold air, it will only isolate the warm air on my side without a full sleep. Similarly only isolating the cold air on the passenger side. When you equalize the temperatures, the vents will get a full sweep, side to side synchronistically. Much more sophisticated than most people realize. The system is so good that you can put out 90° on the driver side on the lower level foot well and side window upper ven for driver and then 60° on the passenger side upper vents. Thats pretty nifty. My Benz only suggested a 5* variation. If you set it in bi-mode, feet and cabin vents, it will send the heat to the warmer side lower level and one window vent. The cooler side, upper vents only, one Center and one window. In the U.P. Specked version(ultra premium luxury level) an independent rear seat controls system is manipulable as well with roof side window vent for A/C Remember the rear seat console has heat A/C controls and electric seat heater. Furthermore the rear window has the filtration fan integrated in the complex system. It has mixed A/C + filtration settings up front also.
    Had a 400, own a 2001 LS 430 UP and a 460, L awd, 2010. Executive package without seat dividers console, rare specifications, has a TV between rear seats, integrated on to the front Console. DVD.
    Hooked on CZcams 15 years. Never have encountered anyone who truly conceptualize the system. I dint explain it all for the 430. My 460 has 3k pages of owners manuals. I don’t think I’ll ever master it. Ugh. Lol. But it turn me on knowing the potential.

What amazes about the LS430 that even though my car is 18 years old it still holds up very well in regard to technology. The interior of my LS430 has the interior upgrade KKG W/Semi Aniline Leather. On top of the Ultra luxury package it cost over two grand more. I think the LS430 is one of the best cars ever made regardless of price. If you find one buy it. Don't let high mileage scare you away. I appreciate the review. I'll be in the car market over a year from now. I'm torn between a used Lexus LS and a Tesla.

      Teslas are tech heavy, but their tech and body reliability is questionable at best. Get any of the LS models in your budget, you won't go wrong with them.

    I like the ls430 but I’m preferential to the F sport. The luxo boxes are nice but it’s a little sedate. I like the radar option which my ls460f doesn’t have. I missed that and lane assist from my Infiniti I had. The dependability of the Infiniti was the reason I went back to Lexus. I had GS450H at one point. I’ll prob go to the LC500 when those get older. I stay away from turbo 6 cylinder. Bad decision for Lexus to convert the LS to that engine. My two cents

    The only negative I find (and my wife also) is that after 15 - 20 minutes the seat bottoms literally become insufferable PITAs. IDK what the solution is; is it reupholstery or replacement with something like Recaro? And would replacements even interface with Lexus electronics?
