- During the game's introduction, an old woman is seen looking out her window, before she adjusts a picture of a baby and picking up a ball of yarn. As she proceeds upstairs, a lone ball of yarn rolls out of shot. Yarny, an anthropomorphic creature made of red yarn, and the game's protagonist, then walks into shot, and is visibly staring around in wonder of his environment. According to Sahlin, the yarn that makes up Yarny represents love, and that the character unravels as they travel away from what they love.

I used to play this game when me and her were going through a rough patch in our lives, where we couldn’t really leave but we both had nothing so we only had eachother and this game brings back all the emotions and how i felt during that time. This is visually marvellous, the atmoshperes are great and many seem to appreciate its message. Still, I found myself mad at the game 90% of the time

Same here, I just wanted to find all the secrets in the berry mire but I could NOT get past the stick and water thing.
You are so right! Just purchased it from the PS store, it's on offer with Unravel 2 in the UK, 4.99 for both! Love the look of the game, but find it very frustrating to play, and think I'll be turning the mournful music off at some point.

I played this during my undergraduate days. Now I’m a resident watching this again on CZcams on a stress filled day made me feel so light. It just makes me feel life is all about doing things we love to. Feeling so emotional and nostalgic.

I wasn't at first into these 2D types of games but to see the evolution of what Mario Bros & Sonic has inspired, I have to say I'm intrigued by game like this. The puzzle solving & thinking on your feet is awesome.

Please make unravel 3. I finished the 1 and the 2 waiting for the third. This is one of rare games I finished until the end. The graphics are amazing and the music is incredible
They have created such a great theme and game, which is really heartwarming, only to partially destroy it with trial and error platforming. Don't get me wrong. I like platforming, but SOME sections, particularly in the middle of the game with the acid are just bonkers for this game. Especially when save points are sometimes minutes apart and then appear right next to each other another time...Atmosphere: 10/10, gameplay: 6/10 perhaps.
