    I us 20w-50 but definitely going to try that 15w-50 next oil change as Castrol have stopped blending the 20w-50 mineral,so the old girl’s getting Castrol next oil change again,thanks for the video always great to watch other bikers doing there serving,always something to learn.👍🏻

    which is the key to the oil filter

    Wouldn't it be less messy to take the sump plug out first then unscrew the filter?.

    • @FrogsAngelsLondon
      @FrogsAngelsLondon  Před 3 lety

      I am afraid not. 2 different compartment which ever way you do it. Try it anyway and let me know about your experience

    • @dsruddell
      @dsruddell Před 2 lety

      no because the filter is full of oil. draining the sum first would not drain the oil from the filter. you could punch a hole in the filter first and let it drain. either way youll end up getting messy

    Your ABS needs a AGM Battery ;-)

    Do You have fan to cool your engine while you let it run for 10 mins?
    Meaby you do.. if not this bad.
    Anyway you should warn in your movie not to do it if the bike is not equiped with the fan (all civil bikes except Police version does not have fan !)

      Always refer to the owners manual before attending any job. If in any doubts take it to your local dealer . That is the safer way to go.

    What’s your opinion on the price of $2500 for a ‘98 r1100rt with 63,000 miles ? It seems a tad high but not too much ... it’s such a lovely bike but I hate over paying for anything

    • @FrogsAngelsLondon
      @FrogsAngelsLondon  Před 3 lety +1

      A bit pricy. I paid mine in the UK £1150 with 33k miles.

      I paid $2700 US for a 2000 one with 28,000 miles

      @FrogsAngelsLondon  Před 3 lety +2

      Although 63K miles is nothing for that kind of bike if it has been well maintained and serviced, I'd try to negotiate around the $2000 mark. It is a very pleasant touring bike. Let me know how you got on. 👍

      Frogs Angels London he threw in another set of saddle bags and a beautiful gas tank pack so I just ended up giving him the full 2500 and I’m so happy with the machine it’s just perfect t and runs so strong and smooth I’m smitten

    • @vinjofin1972
      @vinjofin1972 Před 3 měsíci

      @@mikerichey707 No it does not. It only flashes like this when the ABS is broken or if the battery has low power. If the ABS lights are flashing at the same time before you start your engine its ok. If it flashes one at a time most of the time the battery is low. Start it. Ride it a little and restart and it will be fine. Mine does.

    Respectfully, clicking the torque wrench TWICE over-tightens the fastener. Metal stretches and by clicking a second time, you are adding more torque than specified.
