my opinion is that it is the best video tutorial about the bmw r 1100 rt, like all the videos that this man does.

Thank you for sharing the video. I am a new owner of BMW R1100RT. I followed your video to change front brake pads. I still need to change the rear brake pads.

Hi. Do you open the reservoir cap to be able to compress the pistons? I couldn't compress all 4 at the same time.

Hi, I’m about to by a K100 that has an MOT history of front brake binding and ABS light staying on, do you know what would fix this and should I buy it? Thank you!

Is it best to lube the actual pistons too, if so what's best to use? Cheers

We don't need to compress pistons with a C-clamp? Just squeeze the pistons by hand?

I had to remove the brake line (& made a mess!) in order to get all 4 solenoids on the caliber closed far enough. Does this mean I have a clogged brake line? Thanks for your opinion.

Did you open the reservoir on the top before? pressing back the calipers is almost impossible with a closed system.

To flush and replace the brake fluid on your 1100RT you can do it in the conventional way via the front and rear caliper bleed nipples. If you decide to replace the entire brake lines for new ones then you will need do flush the entire system via the ABS modulator located underneath the gas tank. You will have to remove the tank to perform that operation. If you don't feel confident with that particular job please don't take unnecessary risks. Take the bike to your local bmw repair shop.

Yes indeed just washing up liquid and warm water will do the job then use break cleaner to finish the job and you are good to go again.
