Don't forget that he is not allowed Alonso by overtaking him at the first stint, he was slower so they lost amount of time. Alonso stopped first, he tried to overtake Ocon and Ricciardo overtook both of them. They again lost plenty of time with the hard tyres but Alonso managed to overtake Ocon out of Tv footage (team decision ?) and Alonso finished 15seconds in front of Ocon. I think that's why Alonso decided to go to Aston Martin, it was a big point for his decision.
Ocon only target is to beat Alonso in the championship, which is OK, and I think Alonso is going to "choose violence" next time Ocon tries the same. But I think Alonso decided to join Aston Martin because Ottmar just gave him one year contract, and probably tried to reduce his salary. Rossi and Ottmar have their own plan. Relations with alpine were already breaking down before this point, and I don't think ocon was gonna be siding with Alonso. Alonso since he left Renault for the first time seemed to bring his bad luck and overly passive aggressiveness everywhere with him, to McLaren both times, and to alpine now. Ocon has done nothing wrong, nor anything different to what Alonso was like with his teammates especially earlier in his career. What a disgrace, Esteban really has a problem. He is ahead of Alo in the standings because of luck and Alonso's reliability issues and bad strategies by Alpine. Alonso has been beating him in terms of pure pace all this first half of the season. I'm sure in the second part Fernando is going to destroy him even more and get the points he deserves
Due to Alonso being so unlucky this first part of the season Ocon now really wants to take advantage of that and try to finish ahead of him this season
Esteban is literally L human being. I remembered the days when he and Gasly were like childhood bestfriend, and their relationship wrecked just because Esteban’s jealousy of Gasly’s earlier career success in F1. This guy simply has a bad attitude and heart towards all of his teammates. if he continues to be like that so, i just hope that no teams would like to take him as a driver man. L
This is not new. Just look at Ocon in force india against Perez. He always defends and battles his teammates too hard. It even cost him his seat in 2019 because no one wanted him in his team because he is trouble, only time this didn't happen so much was with Ricciardo because he got completely destroyed that year.
That's straight up false. Ocon didn't get a seat caus all the other seats were taken and he didn't bring much sponsor money , not caus if the way he raced Perez . Only one of 6 incidents between Ocon and Perez were Ocon's fault
@@timmynicolas8729 exactly, in 2019 he was kicked out his seat by stroll, with him being told he would be replaced most likely sometime in November, when virtually every seat, if not every seat (I can't remember off the top of my head) was already full, this left him having to settle for a reserve for 1 year, but in his 2.5 years back, he has shown to be a solid midfield driver, and I think most of this stuff between him and Alonso on track is due to Alonso breaking down relations with alpine more than anything
Bro, sorry but i disagree with comment. Cause Perez definitely crashing into Ocon for 4-5 times I don’t know. Ocon’s doing mistakes to Alonso this year but don’t forget Qatar defence to Perez. If we come to 2019 seat Ocon kicked because they think like you. I am an Ocon fan. If I tell wrong let me know that.
Ocon clearly has a problem with feeling like second best. He's been paired with a lot of teammates that can outdrive him and instead of trying to learn and improve he plays dirty. There's a reason Alonso could hold of Hamilton for 10 laps.
So we gonna pretend like Perez didnt cause most of those accidents because he was being an asshole? And he knew he could get away with it because Force India was dependent on the sponsorship money he brought

I for one, is actually not against teammates racing each other as long as it is done fair and square. I'm from an era when having that is expected and part of the excitement. But to do it poorly at the cost of letting someone else from another team pass, like Ocon does regularly, is a whole different story.
If they’re both fighting for a title then fair enough, but they’re a midfield team trying to secure as many points as possible. This was just Ocon being a bitter teammate and sore loser.

He was faster than Perez in 2018 tho anyone who watched that season can agree . + Only baku is his fault , what about Canada ,spa (twice) , Singapore or hungary ?
Playing devils advocate, he won against Vettel because of chaos + help from his teammate + Vettel's slow pit stop and Vettel was faster still (had like 2 or 3 chances) but he couldn't get past because it's hungary
Good point. I was really shocked how ruthless Ocon was to his teammate. Only HAM-ROS days comes to mind. My guess is that he was genuinely shocked by Alonso form. He wouldn't have had that P1 in Hungary had it not been for Alonso. Ocon's only win in F1 and it was a gift from his teammate. I don't see Ocon ever standing on another F1 podium.
Since his clash with Verstappen in 2018 or something, I knew there's a problem with this guy. He had issues with Checo in Force India/RP, and again here with Alonso. He's good, but not good enough. Checo actually had a problem with ocon. He was the one that didn’t move over in Canada 2017 which cost ocon the chance of a podium and left them vulnerable to Vettel catching and passing them both. Alonso stays clear because these kids are always ready to destroy thousands in parts and potential sponsorships Perfect example of how a guy worth gold always ends up at the wrong team at the wrong time.
Alonso is about 150 pounds, and that weight in gold is about $4 million. He is literally worth more than his weight in gold to a Formula 1 team i.e. the difference having him will make in WCC standings alone will be worth more than that
Alonso is himself a cancer and fully the reason why he isn't in a better car or team. He was too scared to fight Hamilton on equal terms in an equal car so he tucked his tail and ran back to flabbio to fix races. Alonso has gotten far more than he has deserved out of F1.
This is a disgrace. Ocon only focusing to win agaisnt Alonso, and letting all oponents overtaking. This is not teamwork. He cant accept that Alonso is better than him with 41 years. Immature mentality.

Ocon is plain afraid of Alonso. He is terrified that a 41 year old is still a better driver than him at 24 years of age and in all of the drivers' heads they see themselves as title worthy... So getting beaten by an old teammate who is way past his prime is not the nicest thing to happen to them, that's why ocon is extremely aggressive towards Alonso. That's my verdict. He's desperate.
@@fggaming6258 Alonso is very mature... If he wanted he could have gone and fought as aggressive in Hungary and both would have been out... But he held all his emotions to keep both cars still in the race.
Ocon has a history of over defending team mates - he clashed on multiple occasions with Perez at Racing point, Perez is a pretty clean driver overall, and on cases he defends team mates harder than other drivers especially lately with Alonso. About the only time I didn’t see him as aggressive was in 2020 at Renault with Daniel Ricciardo as his team mate where he wasn’t as quick over the season and they never were as close to each other
Disgusting behavior from Ocon, and it's not the first time he's done this to Alonso, he just couldn't accept the fact that Fernando was better and faster than him. He wouldn't have won in Hungary the previous year if it wasn't for Alonso's defense on Hamilton.
@@Emerich2Situation was different. Alonso and Ocon weren't racing each other directly for the win. Moreover, if Alonso didn't defend, not only Ocon but the team would've lost the win. Alonso defended for the team, not for Ocon. Any competent driver would've done what Ocon did. It's not as if Alonso was faster anyways.
good points in the video. its interesting how the management at alpine are really messing the races up. ocon is under pressure because he is being outpaced by a driver who is old. last year the management used to take control in situations like this, they'd swap and let the driver behind 'have a go' and if the driver behind couldn't make headway they'd swap them back again. see brazil 2021 where alonso slowed down on the last lap to let ocon past. they played amazing team roles last year because management allowed it imo. this year the faster car has often been stuck behind the slower one and losing race time as a result, and management have done nothing. it's easier to follow closely in these cars compared to last year but still you need a faster car or tyre advantage to make a proper move again and again. so disappointing. it makes you wonder had alonso got past on lap 1 could he have challenged norris even after the switch to hards? mclaren was very quick on the hards compared to alpine, hard to say but surely he was the best bet to try, not ocon
Remember Ferrari fighting in the sprint race and then conveniently giving Verstappen the win? Nobody wants to see that, fight when you clearly can't catch whoever in front and it's safe from behind.
I started respecting ocon more and more until this GP where I honestly lost all respect. This was very classless of him to drive the way he did, in Hungary out of all places…
Why did you lose your respect? At the start he is trying to keep his position, and Hamilton was going to get past him anyway, so it makes sense to block a driver you can compete with Also during the pitstops where did you expect Ocon to go? Did you want him to just disappear? Not his fault that Alpine once again delivered a slow pitstop and put him directly in front of the battle
@@agent6599 no point in blocking someone you can compete with if it’s your teammate. alonso is miles ahead of ocon and drivers should never be blocked like this; it’s illegal and especially stupid to do this to your teammate and lose positions to a rival team like ricciardo in the mclaren
Ocon is taking the F1 ''your only true benchmark is your own teammate'' motto too seriously. he doesnt care if he gets overtaking by ANYONE, unless its his teammate. the seriously embarrasing amount of points alpine lost this year thanks to Ocon... its staggering...
They way I see it, Szafnauer had heard about Alonso talking to AM (yes he will deny he knew about Alonso's contact with AM in public interviews). I do not buy for one second that he is completely blind to the fact that one of his drivers is not chatting to another team. Therefore he probably asked Ocon to try his best to outshine Alonso on track, no matter the cost. The second half of this season is going to be interesting. Alpine will entirely focus on Ocon. But Alonso will stop giving a s**t about not fighting with Ocon as he knows he will surely now be an afterthought to Alpine. Which means he gets to drive the way he wants and even Ocon would be fair game, and if that causes both of them to DNF, why would he care, right? I can't wait to see Alonso really fighting with Ocon on track now.
Alpine was already entirely focused on Ocon just look at that super long contract ocon got at the drop of a hat the same year he was still beaten by Alonso but Alonso only gets one year Bottas style extensions for his hard work.. Alonso saw the writing on the wall and was looking for an out even from the start of this year and as soon as Aston Martin opened they both snapped each other up immediately. I’m happy about seeing Alonso in a team that will treat him fairly again next year and all the resources they are putting into building a fast car for him.
@@mikezilla9675 not even bottas style extensions, it was a one year contract as a seat warmer for a rookie. Massive disrespect to Fernando for no reason at all, i hope AM make a good car next year just so he can shit all over Alpine for this

Lance is nowhere near Seb who already lost his motivation to continue when he is 23 years old, where most young drivers should be driving as if it was their prime.
Lol if Aston wanted a driver slower than Lance they wouldn’t spend big money for Alonso.. it’s nonsensical. Both strolls are friends with Alonso for a long time btw
I still find it difficult to believe that Ocon was the reason behind Alonso's departure from Alpine. I can't see it happening but at least I can hope Aston Martin will build a car that will put them into the midfield.
I don’t think it’s why he left either. But it may have played a factor in HOW he left. You mess with the Spanish Bull long enough you get the horns. I also don’t think it was directed at Ocon, but rather the team for the way they’ve consistently handled these situations with Ocon, namely, by not handling it at all.
And Snazfauer, and Rossi, want to pay half to Alonso than to Ocon, they are like goats... also they only gave him one year and withdraw him from the WEC and Fernando is a force of nature who wants to continue in F1 for at least two or three years more, he does not want the WEC, he has already won it twice, they believed they could do whatever they wanted with the drivers and they have remained what they are, stupid.
You must be blind then if you find it difficult. You have a NON team mate who does not care about other drivers overtaking you just to block your team mate at every race and opportunity. Then the Team Ambitions are always the same, happy whatever the results. A Team with no Discipline and no Ambitions is a Team doomed to fail in all areas. Alpine Management has been horrendous, the worst I've ever seen just second to McLaren with Ron Dennis supporting Hammilton years back when Alonso was put alongside.
Alright my only quibble is any driver starting where ocon is, or any driver on the grid is checking their mirrors like that and blocking to some extent
I mean you guys are the fist ones to acclaim racers as Verstappen, Shumacher or Senna but can’t stand a racing driver trying to keep advantage on their opponent with a similar car. As long as it’s fair and clean, no reason to criticize it.
He trying too hard and in process ruins the whole teams race. And its not like it's prost-senna or hamilton-rosberg where they're fighting alone for the title. They're in the midfield and you can't afford battling your teammate all the time because it will cost you crucial time in the race. The main issue for me is that Ocon only defends hard against alonso. If he was racing the others hard no one would say anything
@@cactusttp_5520 didn't hear them complaining about him defending very aggressively (dirtily) against Hamilton in Monaco, which... 1) kept Hamilton behind for a few laps 2) prevented Hamilton on his inters from closing in on Fernando 3) helped Fernando finish in front of Lewis.
And Mclaren had only hards to put Ricciardo onto ig so they did the absolute same thing and obviously, through logic, decided to put him on the hards that slowed Alpine down even more after Ocon. Great stuff
Regarding what was said at the 5:30 timestamp; Stroll is arguably worse. And because Aston is literally owned by him, there are no repercussions. Just watch the last corner last lap at France 2022 for example.

good points in the video. its interesting how the management at alpine are really messing the races up. ocon is under pressure because he is being outpaced by a driver who is old. last year the management used to take control in situations like this, they'd swap and let the driver behind 'have a go' and if the driver behind couldn't make headway they'd swap them back again. see brazil 2021 where alonso slowed down on the last lap to let ocon past. they played amazing team roles last year because management allowed it imo. this year the faster car has often been stuck behind the slower one and losing race time as a result, and management have done nothing. it's easier to follow closely in these cars compared to last year but still you need a faster car or tyre advantage to make a proper move again and again. so disappointing. it makes you wonder had alonso got past on lap 1 could he have challenged norris even after the switch to hards? mclaren was very quick on the hards compared to alpine, hard to say but surely he was the best bet to try, not ocon

It's probably more than just Ocon. Probably Alpine as a team not respecting Alonso enough and even money from Lawrence Stroll
Lol good luck at aston career done now
And Snazfauer, and Rossi, want to pay half to Alonso than to Ocon, they are like goats... also they only gave him one year and withdraw him from the WEC and Fernando is a force of nature who wants to continue in F1 for at least two or three years more, he does not want the WEC, he has already won it twice, they believed they could do whatever they wanted with the drivers and they have remained what they are, stupid.

@@jxswu3224 Mick is a loser and a stain on his dad’s legacy, enjoy DTM next year mick
When Alonso asked "tell esteban to defence like a Lion", this is not the Lion that Nando means 😂
Esteban Ocon, the driver that defends his teammate like a lion, and he also ignores blue flag.
No wonder Piastri ran like hell.
Piastri is overrated and would not stand a chance
@@Firemarioflowerpiastri is overrated😂
@@Ardeurquire You want to argue that he isn't? I'm keen to see what your arguments are!
@@Firemarioflower bro just buy glasses and then watch f1
@@Ardeurquire You damn well know that Piastri is overrated, just admit it. I don't need glasses, perhaps you take up your own advice and grow a brain in the process, as you clearly don't understand F1 at all!!!!
I can confirm that Alonso is not missing Alpine anymore
Now I’m really happy that Checo put him in the wall multiple times during their stints in Force India/Racing Point. He deserved those
imagine you hate someone so much you wish him very dangerous situations
I don't think blocking Alonso made a massive difference tbh because Lewis's start was much better than both of thiers.
They could have blocked Hamilton together had Ocon chose to defend the outside line.
First race of 2023 and a podium for Fernando already… but also got hit by Stroll, his new teammate, within the first minute of the race 😂
Tbf stroll is struggling with his injuries
@@d9zirable true. He was hardly at 100% this past weekend and having missed the entire testing week with the 2023 car.
Astonished that Ocon still have a seat after all of this BS all of these years lol
this is obviously heavily biased by you, At the start, Of course Ocon is gonna want to defend his position from the driver directly behind him, so right after the start he makes his decision to defend against Alonso, he cant go back on his decision once it is made and why would he think of the driver 2 places behind and how would he know Hamilton would get a really good start. this is a sport of quick desicion making and he decided to defend from the driver directly behind him before knowing the driver 2 places behind him got a better start then them both, calling him out for that is idiotic, especially from a youtuber i really like, like you.
When it comes to the lap 24 incident, i do partially agree that it was a bad decision to try and defend against alonso when he was on cold tyres but even if he had let alonso through he might have gotten overtaken by ric, again this is a sport of quick decisions! It is then very clear to me that ocon UNDERSTEARS and doesn't purposefully go wide to defend against alonso, you can see it in the steering input which is very constant and sharp from ocon, if he was purposefully going wide his input would have been sharp and then he would have gently loosened his sterring input, he didn't. I do however agree it was a dumb mistake for him to understeer like that when he knows he is on cold tyres, it was stupid, but not malicious. And then you idioticaly call him out for LOOKING IN HIS MIRROR! LIKE OH NO HE LOOKED IN HIS MIRROR WHEN THERE'S ANOTHER CAR RIGHT BEHIND HIM AND HE IS ALSO APPROACHING A VERY FAST CORNER, HE MUST HATE ALONSO! HOW DARE HE LOOK IN HIS MIRROR! AND SINCE HE JUST GOT OVERTAKEN, THIS MEANS HE IS MAD AND HATES ALONSO
like wtf bro this is racing.
just to be clear i am very unbiased, Alpine is probably my favorite team, i love esteban, and i LOVE alonso, to me he is top 3 drivers of all time, if anything i should be biased towards Alonso but obviously i have more sense than you.
Please you're brainwashing all these kids into thinking esteban hates alonso or something when he was just racing.
Thank you for staying open-minded!
(i commented this in the main comments im just replying to you cuz i think you should see my pov)
@@isaacsmith7578 i think most people here are saying ocon’s tactics were stupid from alonso’s, alpine’s, and even his own perspective. who cares if it was malicious? the point is that it’s REALLY stupid. And the countless movements to the right on lap 1 is quite clearly illegal, you’re only allowed one movement and it can’t be within the braking zone
