Guys, I know it resets randomly in Endless. This both was never about Endless mode (this is clipped from my video about Classic), and also those changes to Endless were made AFTER I had made the original video. I know. Check the upload date lol.
My friend completed classic mode for the first time the other day…. & who was his lead!?……. You guessed it! Kartana! Il get it at some point. Ive just not come across it myself yet! 😅
I've heard people talking about PokéRogue for weeks, and _just now_ after seeing this bit of gameplay am I learning that PokéRogue and Pokémon Emerald Rogue are not the same thing.
I have yet to try either! PokéRogue looks interesting now that I've looked into it a bit. It's kind of neat to see the wide range of Pokémon fan games that have been coming out lately! As someone that got into Pokémon when most of my peers were getting out of it, I don't think I've so much as touched a GameBoy; to be honest, sometimes it makes me feel a little out of place in the Pokémon community, with as much recognition as the GBA-era games get. But getting to see more DS-era ROM hacks, PC games, and-never thought I'd say this-an entire web-based, cloud-saving Pokémon roguelike, makes me really excited to see what's in store for Pokémon fan projects in the future.
You'd be surprised how many Pokemon fans I've met that started during the DS era! Everyone has had their own journey as a Pokemon fan, and if yours started after the GBA era, you're far from alone in that. I agree with the amount of praise gen 3 gets from the community, because they are in fact great games, but missing out on them doesn't make you out of place. Lots of people, myself included, consider the DS era to be peak Pokemon. Not to mention those games didn't go anywhere, they'll always be there for you to revisit if you ever wanted to.
Oh, and I have been revisiting them, and I've been having a lovely time! When I got into Pokémon was right at the beginning of 6th grade, which for me fell in between the North American releases of Pokémon Black & White and Pokémon Black 2 & White 2. That being said, getting to be there for the entirety of the hype leading up to Pokémon X & Y was so memorable for me that in a lot of ways it kind of feels like that's where I actually started loving Pokémon as opposed to just playing the games. I recently restarted Pokémon Y and Pokémon Omega Ruby, the latter of which I-embarrassed as I am to admit it-never actually finished the first time, but rather got through about ¾ of the main story before just kinda... setting it down and forgetting it. Which is odd to me, because playing through it again a second time I'm having a great time! They're, in my opinion, the best remakes in the series so far by a long shot. And to be clear, neither that nor the fact that I never had a GameBoy mean that I think Generation 3 was a bad set of games, I don't think that at all. They were crucial to the series! So many things that we associate with the modern Pokémon games started in Generation 3. But I can't lie, as someone that came in later, going back and having to mentally un-split physical and special moves, and having to remember that Fairy types weren't Fairy types yet, was quite a learning curve for me. I'd be lying if I said that didn't skew how much I enjoyed the games, but again, it definitely still does not make RSE/FRLG bad games. I'd imagine people who grew up with them probably have a bit of an easier time adjusting to the older battle mechanics. Anywho… 😵💫
I have it with adamant nature and it’s broken… you can 1shot everything and it’s got very good coverages (it can learn +70 power dark and normal moves + 90 power grass [STAB], fire [egg] and fighting moves). You can deal neutral damage against all encounters, most of the time with a boosted attack stat. Fire type damage doesn’t benefit from stab, but it heals for 50% and it’s 90 power.
Tambien puedes hacer con puas toxicas, si tiras 2 todos los pokemons apenas salgan tendran toxico hasta que aparezca algun pokemon tipo veneno para sacarlo
Calyrex is even better, imagine BB + making berries unusable (which most harder enemies have to both heal and boost themselves) Not to mention how op stab Astral Barrage is in the double battles 💀
I like my soul heart ash greninja and magearna fusion better. When you have 3 kings rock, a multi lens, and priority water shuriken, ain’t nothing ever gonna get a chance to move even if my fusion has 1 special defense
I was using calyrex in a endless and I got the ice version I was breezing trough that even though I got mostly killed bc of the low speed I was getting so much nuggets I was just reviving him nonstop
It's amazing in endless. You don't have to waste a turn, or risk getting killed by the other mon, because it's an ability. Obviously it resets every couple rounds, but it's still amazing
Something to mention, this doesn't work in Current Endless, since every 3 floors you get reset. Once you get passed 300, you truly start to see a Huge Falloff for abilities like this.
Yeah, these abilities have a huge falloff in favor of of stat boosting attacks like torch song because of multi lens? Letting you use a move up to 4 times at once.
if u had passive buzzwole (moxie) and with the beast boost ability, u would get 3+ atk per wave, add this with power-up punch (which buzzwole gets as a starting move pretty sure) then its +4 atk each wave. also more op if u got multilens
For those who are just starting out, this stat boost will be reset every 10 waves or when you enter a trainer battle. When your pokemon is “recalled” if you will, its a good strat yes, but its easily countered by just random chance. I’d say its good for like 3-4 waves.
Glad to see pokerogue content even in shorts earned my sub nice info. I use archaludon in endless gets a similar effect especially if you fuse with a drizzle mon.
A little clarification, your stat changes, transformations (wishiwashi schooling for example), traps, and other similar effects get cleared any time all your pokemon returns to their balls, which in Endless Mode is when the biome changes, which happens every 10th wave, every 1-6 waves, and every 50th wave you encounter a paradox (or eternatus every 250th) in The End biome. In Classic Mode, every biome change (every 10th), and every trainer battle. There are random trainers every so often. Your rival meets you at 8, 25, 55, 95, 155(?), and 195. You encounter an Elite Four and Champion at 182, 184, 186, 188, and 190. You encounter a gym leader at 20 or 30, and every 30 floors after that (20/30, 50/60, 80/90, 110/120, 140/150, 170/180). If you haven't beat classic yet, I hope this information helps! You can do it!
If you are starting out on Pokerouge, try and choose Fuecoco because Skeledirge’s Torch Song does almost the same thing even if it’s a move and not an ability.
Skeledirge just really good for setting up or just soloing encounters and there are some good pokemons with good custom egg moves like elekid, fennekin, centiskorch and etc and skeledirge can have a passive ability as well which is punk rock which boosts sound type moves to 30% which is like most of it moveset after evolving and after game and you can just earn candy by getting friendship
That is insane because something like torch song is busted but the drawback is that it only has so many pp. since this isn’t limited like that it’s even better
caught a kartana mid run, got up to wave 188 or so before losing the run to an elite four member while i had a decently unprepared team, the elite four member i lost to was Hassel.
@@matsuda_blossom2704ivs and egg moves help a lot..when I started I was struggling pass the 95 lvl rival fight..now that I have a lot of max ivs with amazing moves pokemons..I can win the game with basically any team (just make sure to always have 1 steel and 1 fairy for the last fight)
In Endless, later on that strat straight fall off and i resort into dna splicing it with a Crustle with Sturdy, give it Detect, Rock Blast and Shell Smash and with everything maxed out it can't die and will always heal to max upon recieving super effective damage. Detect is there to play safe so leftovers heal it to max. Sandstorm cant hurt it either.
abilites like grim neigh also are pretty insane Id know, Keldo has grim neigh as its passive and I've been able to almost entirely sweep stages on endless with it +bouncy bubble (which hits multiple pokemon in a double battle and drains the targets energy). Calm mind also helps to deal with the stage switches.
which makes magearna an easy one to carry you through endless with only struggling to kill fire/flying type pokemon otherwise she can easily carry you, she only need a little support making her an ideal starter choice, also danger dragon cant do anything to her
Fuse kartana and tinkaton to get fairy/steel, add covet into the moves and you can steal the eternatus items with no fear of getting wiped, helps you take dragon fangs if you have a dragon sweepe like mega rayquaza
fortunately i managed to catch enough magikarps to have a moxie adamant gyarados. i got ice spinner as an egg move and that plus dd waterfall and crunch have solo carried one of my classic runs
I like just having excadrill with swordsdance, earthquake, metal claw and rock slide. I feel like i do get enough opportunities to at least use 1 swordsdance (most times even 2-3) and just sweep through with earthquake. It is tanky enough to survive at least 1 hit most times. I rly like how it just every important move it needs, unlike garchomp, which i would preferr using, but it doesnt learn the moves i would want on it.
Kartana especially, getting access to egg moves like bitter blade and ice spinner, level up moves like leaf blade and sacred sword makes it very easily the best ultra beast to use I fused mine with a maushold to snatch population bomb and ever since doing so and gerting lucky by getting 4 kings rocks, 5 grip claws and most importantly: 4 MULTILENSES and quick claws, I'm currently on floor 1300+ with a kartana that has a basic oneshot move with a guaranteed flinch if they endure it, whixh they do alot in endless.
If you can't get a ultra beast then a good alternative is moxie Flamigo. It hits 8 different types for super effective stab damage. STAB super effective against Steel, Rock, Ice, Dark, Normal, Bug, Grass and Fighting paired with moxie and it's able to tear through anything in the game so long as it outspeeds or survives a hit. It's a super good hyper offensive mon that is not so rare to obtain. Note: It's unstoppable in classic however it starts to fall off in endless.
I've messed around with Nihilego and Skeledirge for this reason while still trying to get my first clear and currently my fave version of this is Iron Moth w/ Fiery Dance. Not as consistent but w/ the Earth Power egg move and picking up good bug moves along the way it becomes a coverage monster. Just need to unlock my Levitate passive to avoid the 4x ground weakness still...
Charizards hidden ability is beast boost as well and he gets a move from an egg called oblivion wing that heals it for more than the damage done. Fastest and easiest 500 yet.
This same reason is also why i think marshadow is another amazing starter for classic Not exactly the same but with its immediate access to power up punch if you get lucky in egg moves, as well as natural immediate access to the elemental punches, the insane passive in iron fist and Well It being Marshadow Makes it really good Carried a lot of my runs (Also power up punch is kinda insane if you come across multi lens)
My kartana was IV stats was all full so that means my kartana's attack can go up to 900+ or 1000 its really helpful because you can one hit Your rival's Rayquaza
I used Kartana in Endless before, let’s say within a couple rounds I got to 1500+ attack on top of several miracle seeds and black belts (for leaf blade and sacred sword)
It's great bit you literally have to hope for dazzling gleam tm, otherwise it falls off pretty hard the further you go due to only getting fairy wind and then lvl 90 flour cannon. Cannon is strong af, but not worth it as it undoes the boost from soul heart and doesn't hit multiple pokemon. Which is obviously not good in endless when trying to farm.
I got a magearna with soul heart and strength sap as one of my first egg legendaries (wasnt even rate up) and i thought nothing of it til i made it to 200 and died with my first team. I then realized i pulled an absolute unit of a pokemon, and immediately won 5 in a row and have been plugging away at an endless run for days now at a few thousand floors on the back of this thing and a zigzagoon alone lmao.
I have been starting with Blacephalon and Sprigatito trying to beat classic mode, Sprig has magician as a passive so its just really good, and when i can get enough candies I can get Blaceph's passive Magic guard, meaning its 150 base power spread move will no longer have recoil to it lol
Me who recently caught a Kartana, and am now at 170 dreading the final Ivy fight, last team I survived with only my swampert at like 30hp, but hey now he is mega so who knows
I lucked out and hatched a kartana with ceaseless edge, so not only am I getting beast boosts but I get multiple layers of spikes which are great for all those annoying sturdy pokemon
I can attest to kartanas strength. Beat classic mode for the first time yesterday with Kartana carrying me and made it pretty easy. Probably took 90% of all kills.
Grinding classic mode with ultra beasts is a must for me It just makes runs so much simpler And it gives me so many vouchers so shiny egg grinding is also simplified I suggest new players that get a beast to just grind classic mode until they get a couple shinys and a strong legendary for endless
Guys, I know it resets randomly in Endless. This both was never about Endless mode (this is clipped from my video about Classic), and also those changes to Endless were made AFTER I had made the original video. I know. Check the upload date lol.
It doesn't reset randomly. The areas change frequently and randomly, so that's why
Yeah, it is not quite random. It is similar to classic mode there you pod your pokemon before any trainer battle.
My friend completed classic mode for the first time the other day…. & who was his lead!?……. You guessed it!
Kartana!
Il get it at some point. Ive just not come across it myself yet! 😅
I find it ironic since I caught both Kartana and Tinkaton on the run that I first won, of course I didn't get the Splicer to do it

Update: I tried PokéRogue last night and I'm already hooked. 🥴
One clarification, stats get reset for trainer battles and after every 10 waves. So it's OP, but not AS OP as it sounds.

Also useless ability for final boss.
Well who cares when i have an ash greninja and magearna fusion with 3 kings rocks priotiry water shuriken and soul heart
And in endless your stats get reset like every 3 turns
Best to fuse this pokemon with a steel fairy for the final boss since the boss is dragon poison
The main problem are trainers, which reset those stats. But yeah, I definitely agree that stat boosting abilities are overpowered
It was more overpowered in endless but they updated it so that star boost rest every 5 floors
Tambien puedes hacer con puas toxicas, si tiras 2 todos los pokemons apenas salgan tendran toxico hasta que aparezca algun pokemon tipo veneno para sacarlo
This is why Skeledirge since it’s a beast with torch song
Calyrex is even better, imagine BB + making berries unusable (which most harder enemies have to both heal and boost themselves)

Should be notes that kartana’s passive sharpness also adds to this as it multiplies the dmg of slashing moves by 1.5 on top of beast boost
Grim Neigh spectrier is slaying for me rn in all ways possible
Nothing will be better than Skelidirge torch song or Bibarrel w/ simple ability, 1 swords dance and extreme speed….

Cannon is strong af, but not worth it as it undoes the boost from soul heart and doesn't hit multiple pokemon. Which is obviously not good in endless when trying to farm.
I accidentally discovered this cause i caught a kartana late game knowing he was good in most singles formats and boy have i been going ham with him
Imagine genesect download as you don't even need to beat an opponent for the boost
With spectrier you can one shot mega Rayquaza if you get 2 spell tags, +4 special attack and shadow ball
Beast Boost + Baton is insanely strong shame you don’t carry your boost into the eternatus battle
Manaphy with tailglow is so op and add bouncy bubble you're basically immortal
Me who recently caught a Kartana, and am now at 170 dreading the final Ivy fight, last team I survived with only my swampert at like 30hp, but hey now he is mega so who knows
I lucked out and hatched a kartana with ceaseless edge, so not only am I getting beast boosts but I get multiple layers of spikes which are great for all those annoying sturdy pokemon
Bro I found a boss kartana and it swept my whole team before I could catch it 😭
I can attest to kartanas strength. Beat classic mode for the first time yesterday with Kartana carrying me and made it pretty easy. Probably took 90% of all kills.
This is why skeledirge is one of the best starters
powerup punch + multihit on my zeraora's going real nutty rn
+4 in one turn, if it doesn't kill in less lol
Me with stakataka who only gets a defense boost 😔
I got the same thing except instead of kitana I got a dragon dancing great tusk
Yeah kartana is unbelievabley overpowered
Haha I got him on my third try playing. It help me beat the boss. But it had trouble to survive fightingthe final boss since it knows flamethrower
I hatched one with mighty kleave to hit fire and flying. Dudes a monster
I mean…it’s nice. But I kinda like the struggle and strategy
For those who haven’t played yet I did and it’s addicting so be careful 😂😂
The frequent biome changes gets so annoying in endless
I hatched an iron hands and he's sweeping everything in our path
The 9th gen water duck starter that has HA moxie is one of the best. Aqua step plus moxie gives it am easy +6 attack and speed
Torch Song go brrr
Torch song op skeliderge
My kartana LOVES IT when things touch her.
What?
lol i also just used kartana today and finally beat the game (used 2 retries tho💀)
Grinding classic mode with ultra beasts is a must for me
It just makes runs so much simpler
And it gives me so many vouchers so shiny egg grinding is also simplified
I suggest new players that get a beast to just grind classic mode until they get a couple shinys and a strong legendary for endless
in which gacha and which egg do you get kartana?
