@Gears N Biers we ran 2 of the industrial Steigers out of 5. One Cu with a manual and one Ca with an Allison. The other three were PTAs and Panther with a manual. The Ca was preferable for the joysticks while pulling double pans. Couples with a higher flow PFC hydraulic pump, the Ca would operate both scrapers at the same time without loosing hydraulic power. The logger single tires made a narrower profile as well, for the one that had it. Absolutely loved having those late 70s and 80s era Steigers they were far ahead of their time and worked into the new era. Some of them even racked frame hours above 30,000 hours. However, we had to retire and sell them due to the late 90s economy, rising diesel prices, and maintenance cost (for their age).
This rig is kind of a Caterpillar 830 MB military tractor. They had a better blade and a 20 yrd Westinghouse Latorno scraper mounted on the back. D343 engine at around 450 hp.
