We had one of those. GREAT TRACTOR.!!. We pulled 11 bottom IH plow in the fall, 42' field cultivator in the spring incorporating chemical, prepping seed bed.
It depends on the year. Normally they disk in the fall. They farm river flats so after the harvest it starts to get wet and fall tillage can be a challenge. They do have a 28ft Sunflower chisel plow that the Big Bud pulls if there are enough dry days to plow.
Very powerful tractor 🚜 pulling that disk on time ⌚.
There's just something majestic about a Steiger cruising across a field
There sure is. Especially Series III.
bigtractorpower we have a PTA watching it come across a field with a 45' Wilrich always strikes me as majestic, it just seems to float
Love seeing these old Steigers, just the sound they make is that pure. If you have any other Steiger videos would love to see them!
Steiger!!! The KING of all tractors imo.

On those tight turns, should the implement not be raised?
yes indeed. but seeing a few videos lately where folks are not doing it. Oh well, these few can damage their machinery if they wish.
So does this farm also do any ripping in the fall? Is yes I would love to see some!

+bigtractorpower would love to see that! I'm from western Wisconsin, we chisel plow everything that's corn and disk the soybeans.
Good way to break disc axles and bearing not lifting the disc while turning
They raise up some but leave the blade in a little to cover the tractors tracks. Once the tractor is back in the row the blades go back deep.
collecting fire wood
River flats. Lots of drift wood to collect each spring that the river leaves behind.
How wide is that disc he is using?
It was a woman operating this steiger
