Excellent video 👍👍👍 Great to see the face behind the voice big T...
Every once and a while I am in one of the videos 😁
Awesome old powerhouse Jason...Realy impressed with how sharp it turns
This was a cool classic find.
Minneapolismoline 106 with a Kohler 8hp
That is a rare one. I own an Oliver 125.
Oi 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Those were/are great tractors! Thanks for showing us!
This was a nice classic to get to feature.
Oi 👍👍👍👍
We do a winter wheat ryegrass crop. When it gets mature it’s a nightmare to deal with. The stems turn into a straw like stem a hallow tube and it dries out so badly. We put it in bunkers and it’s almost impossible to pack. Makes a really good feed tho if you can get it in with enough moisture and not matured. Protein drops off the face of the earth once those heads get going
It’s definitely not an easy task chopping past the peak. Sometimes the weather throws a curve ball and you make the best of it you can. It was a tough chopping day I filmed. It was cool to catch a 1980’s Deere chopping team.
Saw the shadow of your drone. Excellent job
Sun is tough early in the morning and later in the afternoon. I do my best to avoid shadows. Some times it gets too late to avoid them.
I really like those BOTs (Big Orange Tractor). They are pretty cool!
Me too. This farm has several. I filmed three the day I filmed this 8050.
👍👍
Passion....and... Pride......in this Man..
👍👍👍
Excellent video! What is in the small white tank in front of the right saddle tank? Oh, by the way, we use a 1965 International 4 row planter behind a New Holland 6610
Good question. Water for washing your hands after a fertilizer and seed refill.
Looks like a nicely kept, well maintained tractor for its age. Regards from Down Under.
This is an AC loyal farm. They take good care of them stay tuned for some more cool AC 4wds and 2wds working on this farm.
Grandpa owned a small AC dealership as well as farmed with all AC equipment. I miss those days.
Very cool. There was an AC dealer in my home town through 1984. It was always great to visit there to see the new machines, check out the toys and pick up literature.
I have a 7045 that handles the planting and drilling duties! Good tractors! Even hook up the D21 to the drill sometimes!
The 7045 is my favorite AC tractor. I sure would like to film a D21 in the field. Could you email at bigtractorpowermedia@gmail.com
No one ever mentions the possible billions of acres of CO2 munching oxygen spewing plants that farmers make poop up everywhere each season.
"Make poop up everywhere"? What are you talking about
love the old hp
Me too. This one is right out of the 1975 IH sales brochure.
nice to see farmers like old iorn
This farm is AC brand loyal from planting to harvest. It’s a cool farm.
Great post 😊
Thank you. Stay tuned for full 10 minute video.
Good video.
Thank you Frank. This was a great farm to film at. All AC.
Had to find a different video to see how the planter unfolds from 15' to 30' - interesting process but seems like a lot of failure points just waiting to happen.
It’s a very basic planter. Easy to fold and unfold. I have never heard of any issues. Black Machine was acquired by AGCO in 1995 and ultimately became a Massey Ferguson planter. I just featured the Massey Ferguson 8300 of this planter two days AGCO planting 12 rows of corn at czcams.com/video/f9XbRvpniAk/video.htmlsi=9fUD6z5B0CB2yaUi
Love the video I’ve seen a real cool display about a New York farm with a big foot
Very nice.
Never drove a A/C 🚜
They are a well drained tractor. Unfortunately the 8000 series did not get a chance to reach their full potential
Maybe it was all the time spent on an old 190 loader tractor, but I've always thought AC were some of the better looking machines around at the time. You could only get excited about the IH 66-86 tractors or the green stuff just so many times
I like all the brands but the AC tractors of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s really stand out.
That's a nice unit 👌
Stay tuned for a full 10 minute video.
@@bigtractorpower nice!!
👏👏🙏🙏👌👌🚜🚜
Thank you for watching.
$58,000 was a lot of Money!!!! My Parents bought a farmhouse on 1ac in 1983 for $50,000. A used 4020 was probably $8,500 for the younger viewers who didn’t exist yet. 😂
Times have changed allot. In the 1980’s the average income was $22,000 and the average house was $50,000. Today the average family income is $86,000 and the average home is $415,000. The modern equivalent of the 8050 today from AGCO is the Fendt 724 hp wise is $398,000. In the 1980’s the the 8050 was the second largest row crop from AC the second largest row crop from AGCO today is the Fendt 1046 which is $630,000. The income gap, housing price and tractor price gaps have continued grow farther apart. I will have a Fendt 724 and 30ft corn planter video out soon.
Nice
This 8050 is a stand out classic.
Always Great to Orange in the field.
This 8050 is on an all AC farm with an impressive line up.
You've been finding some excellent older tractors as of late. I like the new equipment BUT these classics are what I grew up watching. Great video 👍🏻👍🏻
I agree. It’s fun filming the 2024 machines but finding the classics working from 40 years ago like this one are very exciting.
My dad ran AC tractors for a long time. They did have their share of breakdowns but always got the job done. I’ve never seen this type of planter and wish I could get a closer look, please if you get a chance can you show us more about the planter.
I do have plans to cover the history of Black Machine. In a short summary they built in Vinton, Iowa at the former Hawk-Bilt manure spreader and round baler factory. Invented by Iowa farmer Dennis Duello, of Vinton, it plants split rows when folded up in the narrow-transport position. Called the "Black Bifold Machine,". The first model was designed to plant corn in 12 rows with 30 in. spacing between rows. At the touch of a couple hydraulic levers, the double-hinged wings fold back and away into a "split row" configuration for planting soybeans in narrow 15-in. rows. Three planting units on each end fold in behind to "split" the 30 in. spacing of row units up front. An additional rear row unit is mounted in the center, allowing the bi-fold toolbar to plant 13 narrow rows (15 in. spacing) or 12 wide rows (30 in. spacing). An 8 row 36 inch/ 9 row 19 inch and 16 row 17 row 15 inch were also available. When planting 12 wide rows, the extra 13th row unit is lifted and runs on the ba m. It's the only row unit that has to be touched in switching from wide to narrow rows, or vice-versa, on the 12 row toolbar. All other row units automatically move into position as the toolbar folds or unfolds hydraulically in less than five minutes. The 7 by 7 in. toolbar (3 in. thick) is accepts Deere Max-Emerge, Kinze, International or White row units. The tool bar retailed at $10,000 to $11,000 less planting units. A toolbar-mounted liquid fertilizer attachment is optional. In 1995 AGCO acquired Black Machine. In 2000 the Black Machine tool bar became part of the AGCO-White planter line. AGCO-White planters became Massey Ferguson planters for model year 2022. I posted a 12/13 Massey Ferguson 8300 version of the tool bar planting corn in this video czcams.com/video/f9XbRvpniAk/video.htmlsi=NkXvi3ye_kBhOs7U
Nice AC and planter 👍👍👍
This was a nice 1980’s find.
Still running our 1982 8010 that my grandpa bought new.
Very nice. Great tractor. Is it a 2wd or FWA?
@@bigtractorpower basic 2wd. The trans don't shift great, but still like it anyway.
Looks like they take good care of their equpment!
This is a fully dedicated AC farm that takes great care of its an orange paint.
Baler looks like it got a space age design
It does. I will have a full 10 minute video showing its tech.
Looks like a good working machine. They keep it simple with that model, not too complicated so less parts to risk breaking.
The 8000 tractors were well designed. They were first tractors to offer a large cab 13 years before the John Deere 8000 series came along offering a big cab.
Oh yeah looks great the old 8050 bye allis chalmers i love this looks equipement great tractor for US equipement
This was a nice one to feature. The tractor and planter are from the same time period and both AGCO heritage brands.
The 8050 is a nice looking machine😄👍 great planting video👍👍
It was a tractor ahead of its time with a large modern cab. It’s unfortunate it didn’t have a chance to reach its full potential.
Like a time machine trip from our porch. Favorite series AC running markers, And learned of a planter that folds 13/15 to 12/30. Gonna be searching that!
It’s a great 1980’s planting team. Black Machine was acquired by AGCO in 1995 and ultimately became a Massey Ferguson corn planter. I just featured the Massey Ferguson 8300 version of this planter this week planting corn in the 12 row configuration for corn at czcams.com/video/f9XbRvpniAk/video.htmlsi=9fUD6z5B0CB2yaUi
Oh yeah looks great 👍. We still run our orange tractors, they work good for us.
AC was a great tractor brand. Marketed as Better by Design.
@@bigtractorpower for sure. To bad management ran the company into the ground.
super planting team
It was a neat find to share the 1980’s.
I love watching your videos also the older tractors that are still in the fields
I like filming the big new ones but it’s extra exciting finding the classics working just as they were 40 years ago.
That is a stack fold planter going down the road? Would be interesting seeing the change over to 15"!
You are in luck I just posted a video of this planter seeding soybeans in the 15ft 13 row 15 inch mode at czcams.com/video/hLCExJEsopM/video.htmlsi=1iTGZcjIzq-QpC3E This planter design was introduced in 1984 under the Black Machine brand name and was acquired by AGCO in 1985. It folds from 30ft to 15ft with the outside 3 rows folding back behind the 6 center rows. It plants 13 rows 15 inch’s and transports in the same configuration as you will see in the liked video.
Track tractors are shit because they aren’t made to go up hills!
I have never seen a 4 track tractor have an issue on a hill. I have watched two track models spin out on a hill with a large heavy implement.
Amazing video I imagine even a dog named shabby would like it
Ghabby
Thank you for watching.
Hey Brother, I have watched your video of years. I use to be the one that said if I ever win the lottery I would hire you to shop for equipements. Well. I still have not won the lottery, still just looking at videos. I was wondering something. You always hear someone say this VT or that VT is the best. I suspect you have seen more of them than anyone. So if you thought for the best VT
i worked on prep for a 3x3 . should see the COMPUTER suitcase under the hood !! for a dang baler
It’s amazing what goes into modern farm machines. This baler was impressive in the way it followed the windrow to feed the chamber evenly.
Awesome baling team 👍👍👍
Looking forward to sharing the full video.
Amazing header Jason....makes me proud to be from KY! Lol
