Seems all the evidence stacking up over the years it's more and more obvious..... But is it a group of people within these companies or has the companies always been this way and originally setup for these shadow purposes.... Lord knows, but the utter truth will come in time, maybe not my time or yours but some time....

It's appalling that Dan Schneider has NEVER been held accountable. Makes you wonder what blackmail or deals they have with the child actresses/victims to silence them.
It's equally appalling that these Hollywood-type parents are allowed to keep their children, when most of polite society knows they are shitty, shitty parents, that hire nanny's so they don't have to raise their children. Dan Schneider would have been dealt with long ago by an actual, real Father.
According to Jennette McCurdy, she was offered like 300,000 to keel silent about him. But she refused. I'm guessing most others took it.
Kevin Spacey, Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Epstein .. Karma will come for Dan eventually. Someone will talk eventually. And that’ll start a snowball effect.

What's bad is the general public absolutely crapped on female celebrities like Britney Spears, Amanda Bynes, Lindsay Lohan, ect... for their breakdowns, which that in itself is already horrible. But the reality is they were abused in many ways and struggling with fame and everything that happened to them publicly and privately. I'm glad that the general public is more aware and empathetic to what these people have to deal with and why their mental health is so bad, but so much damage has already been done.
Abused people often end up being abusers. This counts for the men too. There is a double standard.
Because girls/women are viewed as “emotional” by society even though they’re not more emotional than boys/men. So any expression is viewed as a negative unfortunately.

Same, I watched these shows as a child. I enjoyed these shows, they were part of my childhood. This almost made me cry.
I love the fact that Asmon is just downright shocked and terrified of what he is watching in contrast to his stream mainly being for entertainment purposes and for fun and silly content and commentary about what is going on lately. I just appreciate his earnest and genuine authentic reaction to this sick shit.
Just the fact that this guy kept getting hired even after being CONVICTED goes to show that big entertainment companies don't give a flying flip what monkey business goes on with the child stars as long as the ratings keep rolling in.

Convicted of what? I can't seem to find _anything_ saying he was ever arrested or convicted of anything...? I did find an article saying that the investigation of him turned up 0 evidence of abuse or inappropriate misconduct though.

@@niclastname brian peck pleaded no contest to sexual acts to a 14 year old and served jail time. So yes, id say that was convicted. But he was still employed by a company that deals with kids after his release.
As for dan, there is the possibility that it happened but because of statutes of limitations, cant be charged with a lawsuit (1-3 years for most felony charges and 6 years for others). And child actors probably felt pressured to stay quiet about stuff because he was famous and made people famous. Either way, things he says/did all felt creepy to watch/hear.
That first 20 seconds actually made my jaw drop, holy shit. They both looked so uncomfortable.

They notice him approaching, she brushes her hair to the front, (she thought maybe the camera would see down her shirt) listens for a second and pulls her skirt down and straightens out her legs (again mostly due to the camera pointed at her.) when asked "why are you sitting?" Do I really have to explain the glaringly obvious and uncomfortable body language displayed there? These girls were not clearly not comfortable with his presence at all.

Obviously it was a stunt double, but that stunt double had to go to the emergency room with broken ribs as they forced the guy to just drop straight down on his stomach with little to no padding. From. What everyone reported on set, it was an insane height at which they forced him to fall. Shits crazy
It's so disturbing that a lot of the girls were extremely underage when they were casted for the show... I already knew that Ariana Grande first started dyeing her hair red and filming for the show when she was 16, but Amanda Bynes meeting Schneider when she was 10... Shit's haunting.

I initially thought Ari was an adult when she was casted because she was 18+ by the time she entered my radar.

What remains the most unsettling aspect, at least to me, is what this guy established in the last thirty seconds of his video. There's a remarkable lack of further and deeper information that could prove Dan guilty, beyond what we can gleam from the surface. What is shown is bad enough, but he's ALSO deleted THOUSANDS of tweets and videos (at least by the information we've been given.) That leaves you to ponder, 'How much worse does it get?' The crazy thing about this story to me is that I remember watching the antics the Nickelodeon actors would get up to when I was a kid, especially the girls, and I remember being so freakin uncomfortable. I was a 90s kid, so I was too young to recognize the sexual element that's obvious to me now. I distinctly remember watching the weird stunts, gags, and antics and thinking that I could just tell none of those people wanted to do what they were doing. This wasn't "taking one for the team" so we could have some good tv. They just straight up didn't find any humor in what they were doing.

I remember when the logo for Nick was a giant foot they had on the headquarters, I used to follow Dan on twitter Back in the day he once asked fans to send photos of their feet with a hastag of icarly and he would follow them back guessing those are the ones he deleted tons of kids were sending him feet pictures. I always remembered thinking how odd it was that feet was always in his shows even as a kid

They talk about THE JUDGE on one of the trials having stock in nick’s company, multiple Hollywood Execs and industry heads and famous actors writing letters of support for the man who has convicted of sexually abusing drake bell and then some of them actually showed up to court in front of drake to support the 40+ year old man FCKIN CRAZY

Adults don't really pay attention to the stuff their kids watch. "It's a kids show, it'll be fine".
The issue is more that the stars themselves were underage and or deeply uncomfortable with the stuff he was making tempo and the creepy and disgusting things he was doing
kids watching the programs wouldn’t be affected or intended to be harmed, but the stars themselves is where the abuse and or inappropriateness is present.

I worked on a bunch of Nic shows back in the day. Everyone had to fill out and sign disclosure contracts, background check stuff.

Definitely remember this guy walking around. At the time didn't get a "predator" vibe but it was a touch on the creepy side. Everyone seemed to chalk it up to keeping the set lively and energetic.
Worked em maybe 5 or 6 times. Power and money keeps people from speaking up. Also, it's a hell of a thing to confront someone about, so much grey area in this crap.

One interesting detail... Nickelondeon productions have an absence of adult characters. I don't remember any young protagonist with father or mother present in their show, making the child actor alone with the producers during work. In addition, shows like iCarly intend to send the message to the child who watches that they should be independent from their parents, making them tend to disobey their parents more, and in a more extreme case, end up relating with strangers like the show's producer. Yes, I believe that some people in the studio are pedos and they want children to be more susceptible to them using TV shows for ""brain washing"".

To be fair, though, a lot of kid/teen media tries to ignore the presence of adults or promote kids to be independent from their parents to at least a degree (which is actually a normal step in childhood development). Even if we just limit to Nickelodeon live action, there were parents in Clarissa Explains it all, Kenan and Kel, Cousin Skeeter, 100 Deeds of Eddie McDowd...probably more shows that I can't recall.

I think the only ones i watched on Nick, was that jungle obstacle course game where they have to build a monkey statue at the end that aired at noon, Rugrats, and the monsters that live in a garbage dump that played at midnight. Most of the times i played outside or watch disney/cartoon network, so i never really knew about these stuff, and i only focused on watching them today. I'm shocked.

My whole childhood is ruined I used to love watching victorious and at the end of each episode they would show little clips of silly things and those short cat clips were part of it and I didn’t realize because I had such an innocent mind as a young teenager how wrong it looked makes me wonder what my parents thought. This is one of the hardest things for me to watch. Mainly because I have never heard about any of this stuff. Dude was grooming all of these kids for *_years,_* made Ariana Grande do those perverse acts and even threatened to taze a clearly terrified Miranda Cosgrove unless she complimented him; all without being held accountable. Even the part where Miranda hugged Dan was difficult for me to watch.

I always found the reality tv show on nickildeon to be unsettling. I only watched nick for Avatar TLA, DragonballZ, and SpongeBob reruns. I always found the use of kids in the shows they made to at best be weird, and at worst disturbing.
