    I love using circular questioning in my family therapy sessions and find I use in all the time, even when I'm not working systemically. This video is filled with strategies and examples that you can use in a session tomorrow and will really help you understand structural systems and the information you can get from just asking the right questions. I provide the formulas you need to think about how you would use them with your clients as I grill three suspects

    This was fantastic! I love your creativity in illustrating circular questioning. You are helping me to think about how cycles work in systems in more concrete ways, not just absract conceptualization. Thank you so much!

    What a brilliant video! Educational and entertaining. The 'murder' will definitely help memorise the technique.

      glad you found it! and thanks- it probably makes more sense if you're a therapist but i guess if you're a detective too it will be helpful ;)

      @@MyPeoplePatterns mental health has been a special interest of mine so I can't vouch for the detective side of things 😆

    I was a shop steward counseling members who were looking at losing their jobs over constant tardiness. Since I was driven by acute anxiety to be very early for my shift, I wasn't much help to the worker.😢

    Can you make a video about how to tackle sibling prombles in structural family therapy plz?

    • @MyPeoplePatterns
      @MyPeoplePatterns  Před 8 měsíci

      I just replied to your last comment, a structural family systems session would involve your parents AND your siblings because they are an important part of the family dynamic. To only work with one subsystem (siblings) would not be a very structural family systems approach.

    Haven't read the PDF, just finished the video. To me, the answer of whodunnit is obvious. If somebody asked me what I regret about attending a party where somebody was murdered, I'd regret being unable to save them. Not my own personal social conduct during a lethal event.

      Good thinking! You should be a detective or a family therapist. Or both.

      Random Sunday morning thought - would it be interesting/helpful if I made a video based on your homework assignment and vignette? (not sure if I can get it done in time for when it's due but I'm thinking about what makes things helpful to other students)
