How to customize the screen on Echo Show
Did you just get a new Amazon Echo Show and you want to make it your own?
"Amazon's default backgrounds for the Show are kind of… dull.
Fortunately, you can choose from any number of preset screensaver looks, or upload a photo from your phone through the Alexa app. Here’s how to do it… and just before we get to that if you like LIOKE & SUB since it helps us keep making more vids… and don’t forget to follow me at Facebook.com.TGC for updates… On with it! Here’s how to pretty up your Show.

To change the basic backgrounds from mazon’s list, swipe don from the top of the Show or Show 5 screen. Choose Settings, , Home & Clock, then Clock. You can surf through what’s available, and inside each option you can do some further customization.
To add your own photos, grab your phone.
In the Alexa app, go to your device by selecting the Devices tab along the bottom bar. Choose your device (mine is called Kitchen) from the list, then scroll down among the settings until you see Home Screen Background. Choose this option and it should populate a list of your photos. Choose the one you want.
To remove or change the photo, follow the same steps and you’ll see “remove’ is an option.
While this is a nice option, it appears you can only have one photo as opposed to a gallery of images. That’s kind of disappointing. Though there is apparently an option to do a slideshow of your Amazon Photos. I don’t have this set up so I didn’t try it.

i did it but it sometimes changes back to normal then it goes back which is annoying

Need to point out cannot do the changes (different clocks available) on Echo Show 10" so this is really only for the 5" which you might want to add (unless you have found a way of making the same changes on 10")

I use this device but when I go into my settings on my Alexa app for my device, home screen settings isn’t there. I did select the Alexa app option in the settings on the device

Ok I think I might of found it I’d you haven’t already but on the spot itself there is a setting where you can allow photos to be shared and if you turn that on I’m pretty sure you can fix it

is it possible to disabled the random photos it keeps shuffling ??? i dont care about adding , i just want one image, but amazon keeps going throw slide shows and its nice, till it keeps showing me offensive images.

If you get an error that says your device's photo setting didn't load or the echo show device isn't listed in your app or the echo show says you don't have any photos, turn off amazon kids and try again. I was puzzled about losing my photos on my echo show until I figured it out.

Photos through the Amazon photo app do no display properly. Photos via the app come out blurred on both sides. This is a problem with this unit that no one is addressing.

This video in not correct. These instructions simply don't correspond to the settings menu. Specifically there is no menu option named "Home and Clock". There is a menu option called "Wallpaper & Clock" but it doesn't present the opportunity to change the format of the clock like this video shows.
OBviously I used an amazon Logo background
Why couldn't you show us how to use Amazon photos with this?
