Der GSA war in Deutschland in den 80er und frühen 90er Jahren sehr verbreitet und ist mittlerweile fast ausgestorben . Es gibt inzwischen wesentlich mehr DS und Enten hier , als GS und GSA . Ich hatte damals auch einen GSA Special als erstes Auto und bin ihn sehr gerne gefahren . Mittlerweile hat mein Sohn einen GSA PALLAS C matic und wird diesen nächstes Jahr , wenn er 18 Jahre alt ist , fahren und freut sich sehr , daß er damit einen echten Klassiker hat , wo andere Leute sich nach umdrehen 👍🏻
Sehr schön, als erstes Auto ist der GSA nicht verkehrt, da relativ narrensicher. Und stilvoller kann man als Achtzehnjähriger kaum unterwegs sein. Ich selbst habe einen GS Club, der diesen Sommer generalüberholt wieder auf die Straße kommt.

Boxer engine was invented by FERDINAND PORSCHE Air cooled flat four cylinders. Enginerred for planes, this engine was used in 1933, on COX for VOLKWAGEN by Hitler's request. At end of 2nd World war, Ferdinand Porsche was in prison, in France, and i suppose he musted give his brevets to France car manufacturers( Citroen, Panhard, Peugeot, Renault), for leaving the prison. Renault made 4CV with engine in rear side( propulsion) Citroen used the boxer flat four in 1970, with GS. 1015 cm 3 had lot of breakdown failures; From 1220 to 1300 cm 3, mechanics were better, and enjoyed by GS/GSA Fans ! But both of them doesn' t enjoy the AXEL ! In 1960 P 60 prototype was elabored by Citroen. This unique car was designed by Flaminio BERTONI, with atypical design, like an Ami 6 Berlina, and DS 19 ! But was flat four cylinder air cooled, and Hydropneumatic suspension. 10 years later the commercial car is created, the GS, designed by Robert OPRON. And GSA replace GS in 1980. However, there was the AXEL/OLCIT( from East Europe), this car was a big failure ! 50 years ago BOXER Flat four was tried on Ami 6 Break( not commercial ), for tests. With the same speed box than 2 CV. Ami SUPER used only 1015 cm 3 Flat four, and not 1220 or 1300 cm 3 boxer, and GS speed box. Wankel engine( for GS Birotor, M 35, and Audi Ro 80), was not very good. When this engine made, it was 1973, and petroleum crisis !

Ma quanto era bella ! E la sospensione idropneumatica faceva la differenza. Oggi le Citroen purtroppo sono delle auto scadenti. Peccato.
