What diameter waterline from the meter to the house? Is it Pex? What about trunk line diameter through the house? Line diameters from trunk lines to wash machine, water heater, sinks, toilets. Diameter of lines unfiltered carrying water to outside faucets?
I especially like the bypass line around the filter. Is the pressure reducing valve installed beyond the water filter? And is there a cut off valve immediately after the water line enters the house?
I'm looking at installing new waterlines into and throughout a house built in 1950, replumbed in 1972.

Great video. Is there something worth installing in your house if you have hard water in a city. Or is this mostly just for a well water system.

Thanks Lennon! Hard city water would benefit more from a water softener, as most cities with hard water usually have a lot of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) which is best removed with a water softener. Total Suspended Solids (TSS) is what I have, and an inline sediment filter as seen in this video works best.
You could always install both if needed. Having a inline sediment filter and a water softener. The inline filter would be connected prior to the water softener and filter out larger particles, and the water softener would help remove/reduce the Total Dissolved Solids and give you softer water.

Also, does anyone install an additional water filter after the water heater? Do you favor an expansion tank after the hot water heater, and then a smaller cartridge water filter?
Where can I purchase 2 Felos 45 filter cartridges that fit into the 2 housings attached to wall?
Did a change on my filter lastnight. As soon as I turned water back on my white filter is black again. Should I replace the filter again?

Nope, it's an option. In this case a very recommended option, as this is well water with a high level of TSS (Total Suspended Solids).
