I was just at the rusty ships today and I ate at the same place for lunch! I’ll be continuing my solo trip to Khiva tomorrow. My experience in Uzbekistan is totally different though because I don’t get special vlogger access to certain places and I don’t have a guide😐 But I’m still loving it, although it’s a bit difficult with language barrier sometimes.
Eric C good luck with your travel
@@luizas2345 thank you. Much appreciated!
Eric C, it is really courageous of you to solo travel! Yeah, not all travel experiences are gorgeous and grand, but I am sure yours will be very unique! If I would see / hear about how your experience is, it would be so great! Stay safe!
Judy Yau thank you!
@@chaole1000 How did you get out there? Will be traveling there soon!
ARAL SEA WOW... Now ghost town
this video is really informational.. I would love to travel places like this and learn more about their history. 🙌🏽
❤️
@@vagabrothers was it ur first trip to ex-ussr countries?
Wow😠 what if all oceans turned to ghost town.. Will our sons and grandson survive in this earth

Ghost sea not town
Wow... this vlog is so educational... as an educator and a vlogger this is a fresh way to introduce hidden gems which are not usually featured and learn history of some unknown facts.
What you said at 15:25 is _the_ reason why I travel. Thanks so much guys for opening my eyes to Uzbekistan. It's definitely top priority on my bucket list now!

Uzbekistan is a country of contrasts! Thanks guys for visiting!
Hello fromUzbekistan 🇺🇿🙏
It's extremely sad. In 1985 I went on a school trip with my classmates from the American school in then-West Berlin across the USSR. My two favorite locations we went to on our 15 day cross country odyssey were in your previous videos on Bukhara and Samarkand. It was great to see those places with you guys again. I fell in love as a Senior in High School with Central Asia (and it was early Feb with snow on the ground and very cold!).
Anyway, flying back from Tashkent, which we went to for the flight to Kiev, we flew over the Aral Sea. I was excited to see one of the world's great bodies of water, looking much the same as the 1989 satellite photo you showed. I'm glad I had that opportunity when I did, because it will never happen again. Thanks, guys!
That's heart breaking. But also, what a beautiful series.
True. Thank you for watching as always Jen. Appreciate you showing up in the comments every video :)

Hi from Kazakhstan! You should come visit. Yes, what happened to Aral Sea is terrible. When I was in school, I used to look at the map, and Aral Sea was big, yet smaller than before. At the time, that was strange. Then it got smaller and smaller. Now it's just painful to look at. It lies between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and people here talk about ways to improve the situation, but it seems that it's too late. I hope not
Thanks for the opportunity to visit such an interesting, less obvious place! It's so much fun to live vicariously through your travel videos, I love how they're not just "Here's what we did on vacation" videos, it's not about promoting some resort in the Maldives and stuff like that, which there is an abundance of already! We get to learn about these places, the nature and the culture, it's really great teaching about world history and human diversity! You're making the world feel smaller at a time where we most need people to realize that humanity is a community, and that we all need to take care of our collective home, the pale blue dot! Cheers from Canada! xxx
Fascinating, definitely a long lost part of the world with some very intriguing places to explore.
yeah gone forever
i know where the Aral sea is, but i never heard but how the water disapper! It is such an interesting video! So sad to see how the industry and their ambition destroy the nature.
Its was USSR , not some company LOL

humbling...and a lesson...we did the same mistake.... with how we tried to "tame" the Colorado river....and the Columbia river...altering forever vast parts of our country and forever altering and damaging those regions for, the even on a human time frame, benefit of the few for a brief period with consequences lasting far into the future...so short sighted.
Great series. Thanks.

Short sighted thinking is ruining a lot of places all over the planet. Uzbekistan series is one of my favorites. The drone was used to good effect and gave scale to everything. No doubt Central Asia is getting added to the bucket list of some of your subscribers.👍

Wow! I so love vlogs to unique countries such as Uzbekistan! Hopefully I can visit Central Asia. Please continue making vlogs about unique places here on Earth.
We will do our best Ian
@@vagabrothers Thanks! I really wanted to visit places like Uzbekistan because its like you are traveling back to the old days.
@@IanPaulSaligumba If you ever decide to visit Central Asia, i suggest that you only visit Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. There's almost nothing to see in Kazakhstan except for several spots. I know cause I live here. Kyrgyzstan has Ysyk Kol (literally 'hot lake'). Never been there myself, but those who were say that it's awesome. There's another country called Turkmenistan but you can't get in there cause it's a North Korea type of country.

This is one of the best vlog I have ever watched about Aral Sea. Sad story but very interesting and informational episode. I like your way of taking videos. You always tell us about sightseeings and the story of those places, your thoughts. That is interesting and original. I enjoyed watching it! Hope to visit and see it before the sea fades away. Thank you guys and good luck!
This was great. Very eye-opening. I had no idea this existed. Thanks, guys! Very valuable work.

You are so professional, guys. Going to Aral Sea, exploring it and staying at the coast is really tough journey. But You have made it. Subbed and likes to all Uzbekistan's series.
Hello from Uzbekistan and thank you guys for sharing our culture to all over the world and helping on developing our touristic potential. Really interesting and informational video. I've read about the Aral sea but you guys taught me stuff I didn't know! It's so important people know about the damage of mankind, such an eye opening and thought provoking film. I feel this disaster optimises human greed at the ultimate cost and unfortunately it's still happening! Thanks for making this guys 👍
Been watching a lot of your videos and the best thing about your channel is the selection of places and your presentation of your trips...you guys actually experience these places and also spread it effectively across the world...lots of love and good wishes (someday do come to India)

Every now and then, I would browse CZcams for any update on the Aral Sea. I don't know why I would always hope that there was suddenly a miracle or weird phenomenon, restoring the lake back to it's former glory. This disaster always make me cry.
Showed this to a group of students in the French School in Tashkent, very enjoyable thank you

This looks just like the Salton Sea back in Cali... so sad. Thanks so much for this video.
