The great Don Grolnick playing piano. Don was primarily a jazz player. It's interesting that Linda gathered great musicians from many different genres. I worked this show at the Atlanta Civic Center in August 1977. I was the video recording engineer.
I saw this in 77, I was only 13 and into Kiss and Aerosmith, but after that, My Farrah Faucet poster came down, and Linda Ronstadt took her place, I've been in love with her ever since.
Dear God! This is amazing! No auto-tune... no distractions.... no overt sexuality.... just a pure, beautiful talent! Praying for Linda and a recovery for her..... she was the soundtrack of our lives!
Her singing ability is just not even measurable. When she does a song thats it . Thats the high water mark for that song forever. Man i hope we get to listen in the next life.
Perfection on so many levels.Linda Ronstadt's angelic singing, Karla Bonoff songwriting, Don Grolnick piano, Waddy Wachtel guitar. The lyrics touch your heart and you know Linda puts so much emotion into each song - she said each song has personal meaning to her, that she can feel the emotion, and is not just mouthing the words. I thought her Desperado track from this concert was the best I'd heard but this tops it.
I saw her in the mid 70's. She rocked. She wore Daisy Duke blue shorts , a blue Cub Scout shirt. She sang like there was no tomorrow. Just mind boggling how good she was.
I saw Linda play at the capital theatre in Passaic N.J. back in the 70s she was the middle act Dan Fogleberg started the show then Linda and then The Eagles all for 18 dollars wow what a great show , when the show ended Linda came back out and did different drum and the eagles backed her up
THE Voice of a generation! No one comes close. Linda was always supurb. Remember, this was live. No auto tune. No cheesy backgrounds. Just pure talent. Today's "singers" (and I use that word loosely) could learn a thing or 5 just from this performance alone. Thank you Linda, for sharing that great talent with us!
I submit: The greatest vocalist in recorded western music. The open diversity of styles. The emotional inflection. The pure tonal range... Prove me wrong. She is a freakin' treasure, and definitely the best thing ever out of Tucson Arizona. ;)

This may have not been a huge commercial hit. But it has always been my favorite Linda Ronstadt song. One of the most beautiful voices ever!

One of the most incredible piano intros to a rock power ballad EVER!! This song, as performed by Linda, is SHEER PERFECTION!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯🏆✨️🥇
Things I have seen in 81 years on this earth will never be duplicated. Ms Rondstadt"s voice and beautiful songs is one I cherish.
No fireworks, no dancers, no BS, just a great lady with a incredible voice and a great band.

No explosions......no twerking.......no autotune........no dancers. Just stand there and sing .
The best singer of any generation.
She has the most Beautful Voice Ive Ever Heard.
Music back then was infinitely better and more real than much of the music of today. Artists were by and large more talented in those days.
Linda was simply the best.

Who even writes or sings like this in the mainstream anymore.? Glad I was a teenager in the 70s. Quality music.
