I just got one of these today. I paid £67 for it which is a big saving on the RRP and with these features at that price it's a bargain. Larger than I would normally wear but some of that is the way the strap sticks out at the lugs. Thanks for the hints on the features.
Awesome watch review - I would like to see when reviewing watches with luminous faces how long the luminosity lasts after dark and receiving a light source as some watches use different elements to make the hands luminous. Other wise awesome review!
Indeed, whats the point to notify how many minutes is left for the alarm to start beeping. I have the Gtavitymaster GR-B100, it has the same weird function. How ever, the alarm can be scheduled to daily, weekly or any specific date.
negative variant was originally designed for local law enforcement and military services so when in dark settings there is less disturbance from the watch being found when worn.

Struggling to place your accent. I know it's German (I'd be embarrassed if it isn't). I want to say Bohemia. Anyway, this watch, as much as I love it, it is a colossal pain in the arse to do anything with. I use a F91W for a daily and it's just so easy to use
After owning this watch for some time, I can honestly say Casio have dropped a huge clanger with the negative display. It's far too dull and can only be seen in the brightest of light.
So buy the smaller, but same functions, G-Shock AWG. The backlight is weaker but the models with black on white digital display are over all easier to read,
It is automatic DST, when you recieve signal with the Multiband 6, it changes it automaticly, when DST is active for summer or off for winter. Otherwise, you can change it manually via adjust.
Also another stupid thing from g-shock is when setting the analog, in case not matching digital timing, both gauges has to be on 12 or it will not synchronized....
Finally a G-Shock which doesn't look like toy for 10yo boys. I especially like that black+silver finish, muted text and no other colors. However, I will probably still don't buy it because I can't stand those side screws which are there probably only for decoration, so that idiots think that those screws make it more sturdy. If those screws are for decoration, it shows contempt for customers.

Your argument makes no sense since the thing with the up and down buttons is also like that on other digital casio watches that don't have any analog hands. It's just confusing that it is counting DOWN when you push the UPPER button.

I recently aquired the GAS version. It features standard (non-reversed) displays and I find them easier to read. These Casio models are very nice

Great review. Although I must admit that I like the Forward and Reverse buttons where they are, it seems natural that way. I suppose its subjective.
I agree! One can think of Forward as Clockwise, and Reverse as Counterclockwise, if that helps making the button placement more logical.

I think the reverse and forward buttons refer to the direction of time rather than up and down.

I find the negative LCDs impossible to read when not in brightest light. There's two other variants with positive LCDs which are way more legible.

6:07 Is it possible to calibrate the hour hand at exactly 12 o'clock and the minute hand?
You want to adjust the hour hand and the minute hand separately. This isn't possible. Not even on a real analog watch.

How do i change the day, from saturday to sunday?
You can't. You can only change the date. The day will then be set automatically.
