How is an 8 minute video a deep dive?
Dude that's epic! I am glad you guys got that opportunity to check it out. I liked the demo and felt it's an interesting game of wits and tactics. Let's hope the story gets more and more interesting with the different choices.

Cause you guys worth it
I've been generally averse to Square's output since the padded and bloaty PS JRPG days but this looks fantastic. There seems to be a few minor changes and simplifications that remove some of the drag out of progress without taking anything away from the depth of an SRPG. Not sure how the indicators for being able to get hit by ranged enemies will go across with the more hardcore SRPG players but I'm highly likely to pick this up

Final Fantasy Tactics for PSX is probably one of my Top 10 games of all time and as a result, I'm quite excited for this.

I'm relatively 'new' to tactics games, but it looks like there's a lot of features that would help me to keep track of things! Definitely makes me feel at ease about having preordered the special edition - that box was just too pretty to pass up xD
I was already a big fan of the game, but this demo sealed the deal for me to preorder it. It's also nice to know that there might be crafting later on.
One of the things I dind't like that much from Octopath was the absence of quality of life features, so I really appreciated the combat overview. The overmap looks gorgeous. Thank you for the video!

I really hope that the choices you make actually make a difference. A lot of games like to say that your choices matter as a way to suck you in, but then it turns out that the outcome is the same regardless.

I was a fan of old school games. Thay were unique and special to me. I never had enough money for top PC until i started working. And now after I can afford a good gaming machine, i realized that over course of 5-10 years, there is significant drop in quality of games. So severe, that i looked about what will be released in next few years, and not a single game was appealing to me. Then i decided to buy a switch, and I am blown away. Good games that mix old school with new ideas, a lot of fun, solid controls, good stories, portable, and the cost of switch was so low, that I just had to jump into this train. I think that now i cant imagine having anything but switch.
Love that they kept using the octopath artstyle

One game that I immediately remembered from seeing this preview was Tactics Ogre. still can't believe it's been 21 years. I'm very invested in trying the game out once I get my hands on it!

Strategy games are not my cup of tea, but right out of the gate, I can tell that this is going to be an amazing title. I better start clearing that backlog since I expect this one will require ALOT of hours sunk into it.
I wish I could at least like strategy games a little because as u said it looks amazing. Sadly I just don't enjoy this kind of "fire emblem" strategy games :(

I finished the demo as well, and it seems more than likely to be a purchase. I have a few reservations around pacing and how deep the mechanics appear to be from what's shown in the demo, so I'll be interested in reviews when they start popping out.

I haven't played a true strategy game like this since Fire Emblem: Awakening and I could not be more excited! The 2D-HD style needs to be used even more often! I can't wait for this!

I can’t stress enough how slow the game is in the beginning. It sets a lot of the foundation up before it becomes fun. Be prepared for a lot of reading/listening. Game is awesome though. Can’t wait for release

I've been waiting for Tactics: Ogre on the Switch, but this might just be it!
