I own this printer and have had great success with it. Any fails have been my own fault. It’s reliable, dependable and produces outstanding results. Plus it can print in the wintertime!

would you recommend this for a beginner? its an actual headache trying to find a decent printer especially for winter time 😅

Thank you for the video 😊 Ordered mine on the 17th , finally got to shipping label printed on the 28th . Was hoping I got in super early on the Black Friday sale but seems things are backed up . Very much looking forward to getting it as I have been crash coursing blender CAD and the slicer seems super simple .

I’m still on the fence about it. I have two machines one is 8k and one is 12k I am gonna leave them as is and see how it goes for a while. Annoyingly I have to use chitubox to slice for now but I’m sure lychee will support it soon enough.
Seriously clean breakaway on those supports, do you do your own?

All comes down to your XY resolution and think that 19×24μm is almost the best I've seen. Only one better is Elegoo Mars 4 Ultra 9K with 18µm, but then you have a significantly smaller print volume :(
I really want to get one, but i just got a Saturn 2 last year and with how technology is advancing I bet as soon as I get one there'll be ANOTHER one that ill be tempted to get. I must break the cycle!

You were right, the Saturn 3 and soon a Saturn 4 in just 4 months. I doubt they are much better.

@@Groundeffected i can see why. Vat heater, how the top pops up and the build plate mechanism all give it that edge above the rest. The screw on build plate and leveling is annoying

Hey @Groundeffected did you order yours directly from uniformation? Since I’ve got an email from them saying they won’t be able to supply the UK plug for my bundle, was it the same in your case ?

Hmmm mine is direct from them but I got plugs. Or maybe I didn’t I honestly don’t remember but they use they same plugs all our other machines use or just any adapter plug. I dunno the name of it lol but I bet you have a draw with 5 of them in it not being used!

And about Heygears and Uniformation GK2, which one is better?
Uniformation gktwo is better because it can use any slicer but heygears is stuck with their slicer only but it depends if you like their software though..

No but that is the rule right you supposed to always have spares!
Gran says make sure you use a torque wrench or whatever to not over tighten all your bazillion screws.

Dude you gonna love it. Make sure to check level both mine needed to be level despite them saying it’s level from factory. They were a fraction off. I like it to be tight on those papers. Then also set the temp to stay at 30c dunno why but I heard it helps it to stay within that sweet spot temp range. Other then that it’s so good once you’ve got your resin settings dialled. I swear to god mine has not missed a beat. I have two running every day and they’ve both not once given me a minute of trouble. Best experience so far with a machine. The build plate threw me off at first but now I like it! It also doesn’t drip resin when you take out the prints. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this machine from my experience

Montana spray paint gold.
Rinse your prints under hot water, they will effortlessly detach from the build plate, and the supports will follow suit. Direct the water precisely to avoid any distortion to the actual print.
Literally don’t even need to dude they just pull off with ease.
@@Groundeffected I noticed that you utilized a trowel to remove your print from the plate. If you rinse it under hot water, you can use your hand to pull it away easily. Using a trowel may potentially damage the surface of the plate, just a friendly suggestion.
@@SimplyAlteringMaterials you know when these resin printers first started coming out we were sent sand paper to sand the plate for better adhesion. Don’t worry about the plate dude. I scrape it after every print too just to take off any potential bits from the raft that might be snapped off( usually not a single piece) and I shove that thing back in and print again. Haven’t washed a single build plate in over 3 years printing.
@@SimplyAlteringMaterials the more scratches in the metal plate the better adhesion you will get.

Yea I didn’t see any noticeable difference which is why I said I felt like the standard machine is perfect put the box.
its a nice looking printer but over £280 more than a 12k Saturn 3 ultra for the sake of the heater i dont think its worth it tbh.
I mean I won’t lie if it wasn’t for that heater I wouldn’t have a single print for the last few weeks of videos. It’s so cold in my back room there is no insulation and it’s getting very cold in England

You will never convince me this is $350 better than the Saturn 3 Ultra. Because it isn't.
After using the Saturn 3 ultra for about a month I think I'd rather have bought this printer instead

Never ever said I was trying to. But the Saturn couldn’t print in my back room currently so for me I’d rather buy 50 of these with my own money than one of the saturns that currently would not work in my back room due to lack of heating. It’s a simple tiny cheap addition that takes the whole printer into a completely different territory. I don’t care if you can print better when the temperature is controlled and in optimal range. Gktwo does that for me. Just that feature on its own makes any other printer currently without one obsolete. Last year I spent an astronomical amount heating my studio to be able to print and still suffered failures due to temperature, this year I’ve not had to manually heat a single print and have not had a single failure on any of my heated machines.
The other nice thing about this brand is that they natively use a Prusa slicer fork.
I have a Saturn 3 and can't print anything other than the stock rook even with the right parameters. Bought this on black friday. So I'm convinced.😅
