2 WEEKS INTO ALTERNATE DAY STEROID TREATMENT: Arachnoiditis & spinal CSF leak

2 week update into my normal alternate day steroid (5mg prednisolone) & anti-inflammatory (75mg diclofenac) treatment protocol. This is following my arachnoiditis flare 6 weeks ago, 5 day IV Methylprednisolone and 2 week steroid taper. Things have been going well apart from a 3 days the week before which were markedly worse perhaps due to possible added migraine, change in atmospheric pressure headache or the build up of a few difficult weeks with poor sleep.
In this video I also share how I now have a second written radiologically confirmed diagnosis of arachnoiditis from my normal spinal CSF leak NHS neurologist. I also discuss how we decided together that we currently cannot pursue more invasive scans to find the leak site or any more blood patches due to the massive risk of flaring the arachnoiditis/ mild AA. Also we cannot be fully sure if the CSF leak is always there, intermittent or if it could actually help the arachnoiditis induced higher pressure surges by acting like a 'natural shunt'.
I also discuss how radiologically confirmed diagnosis' can help a patients mental health because it provides more answers and validation and helps deal with more of the questions about your case that come when your conditions do not have radiological confirmation.
