Does this Hydroponic set up give a lot of humidity?
I noticed you had holed tagboard in one picture, just your window with shades in another, and then a gray blanket like thing in a 3rd.
We have wood flooring in my office, was contemplating if this could be build and had in a room like that or if it had a lot of moisture and thus probably best on a vinyl floor (Pantry) or concrete floor (e.g. Garage).

Looks like you’re growing more than just lettuce. What exactly can be grown in this kind of system?
How low should I drill the holes for the water entering and exiting? Should the holes be drilled lower then the net cups? I think I made abit of a mistake and drilled mine in the center for the entering and exiting water.
Is the pump ran 24/7? Or periodically cut to save cost?
Buy a timer and set it to three times a day
He mentioned in another video that he runs it all the time, 24/7, except for maintenance down time an hr a week.
What about the running costs? Can you tell how much kWh per month your system uses?

Hi is that square PVC about 80mm X 80mm? Of so would I use 70mm deep net cups? How deep is your solution in the rails? Just wondering if my cups will need to touch the bottom of the channel.

@@Rat_C4 dang that’s like the most expensive. Do you know anything about the pool noodles? I kinda have that in mind as the net cups are expensive
unfortunately for most people the grow lights are necessary, unless you have a really large window that gets the sun most of the day, or you can put the system outside, space permitting

Have you heard of photosynthesis? Plants need light to grow. Good luck in the gloomy and short winter months getting 12-14 hrs of direct sunlight without grow lights.

@@DaveSmith-cp5kj i dont use pumps, its called kratky method. much esier and cheaper when you dont need to use electricity. you can do hydro indoor and outdoor. been doing it for 6 months now

The costs of everything have gone through the roof, needlessly in most cases. Yes, inflation is a normal economic factor, but not when things double and triple in price. It's price gouging masked as "supply chain issues". The billionaires are getting richer and the peons are getting poorer.
@@OMGWTFLOLSMH It's not price gouging, it's inflation causing devaluing of the dollar and other government regulations. The income of corporations have not been beating inflation, so they actually are earning less wealth despite prices skyrocketing.
The government has printed more money in the last few years under Biden than the entire history of America. We sent tons of our money to Ukraine's stupid war, and many states raised the minimum wage so operation costs have gone up as well leading to higher prices. When the dollar devalues, everything costs more. That's why our grandparents could retire on 100,00k, but today you need close to a million to retire at 70.
Also there is simple stuff like Biden sabotaging the oil industry which causes everything to go up since everything relies on transportation costs.

Isn’t using PVC bad for your health? I looked at buying it in California and sellers give cancer warnings.
Just about everything in California has a cancer warning on it, including a lot of clothing.
Bruh, coffee has cancer warnings in California. Believing anything the California government tells you is probably more detrimental to your health than PVC. Especially given California was the state lobbying for MTBE to be added to gasoline for "global warming" and then we found out they knew it was cancerous and permanently poisons the water table but still pushed it because several politicians had stock in companies producing MTBE.
And if you are worried about PVC, you better not take a look at what is in the dirt most plants grow in.
That said, this channel has a video where he took lab tests of the water from his system and it is g2g.
Can buy a pre-built for way cheaper.
