I have spent a lot of time in Kashmir from 1999 till 2006 . Kashmiri people are very sweet ad loving. I loved thef ollowing food of Kasmir Rogan Josh, Goshtaba, Dum Aloo, Kashmiri Rajma, Naat Yakhni, Aab Gosht, Tabak Maaz and Nadir Monji

Kashmiri is cuisine is all about mutton. Chicken and fish are rare. Even though the dishes are similar across Kashmiri muslim and Kashmiri pandits, their taste and method of preparation is quite different.

Been to Kashmir many times ...Had mini Wazwan which is quite tasty especially Rista and Gustaba. Had Rajma Chaval also which is quite nice. They give anardana chutney along with it.Suoer tasty The bakeries in Srinagar are also famous.
Yes I can confirm , my ancestors came too Punjab Lahore during Ranjeet Singh’s time when kashmiris were called too Lahore durbar for administration and we have dhal chawal and chawal in general A LOT even though in Punjab ( firozepur east Punjab ) roti is mostly preferred

Gushtaba is not wat Moazzam bhaiyan is comparing with…Gushtaba gravy is totally different…it is curd based gravy but different…Rishta is red gravy and spicy as compared to Gushtaba.
Baakarkhaani is very common in Kashmir nd also in Jammu…there is a variety of baakarkhani available.
Nd tht was not paranthaa…it was actually ’Katlama’ nd u get Katlama in Lahore too…though it is rare but u will find videos on you tube

In India, you will find Naan only on Wood Tandoor, either in shops or in any party , very few people use Gas or electric tandoor .

Thanks for the vlog on Kashmiri dishes. I have visited Srinagar & roam around all places like four Mughal gardens, city Pehlgam, largest meadow in world Gulmarg, Anantnag, stayed in Shikara at Dal Lake, Char Chinar, famous Hazrat Bal Shrine, famous Shankara Charya temple, Lal Chowk etc, also had taste of Kashmiri veg. meals. I have also attended marriages among Kashmiris at Jammu ( winter capital of erstwhile princily state ) where numbers of non veg. dishes are served but I tasted only veg. meals. Being a Bhatt Kashmiri, also a good chef please prepare some good veg.dishes & send to me for taste through utube channel. Thanks.
