They really need to rethink their fines from the stone-ages. These companies are barely getting a slap on the wrist and at worse, is just an expensive ad campaign for them.
No, they need to make them percentages instead. Is $15,000 or 15 percent of yearly wages easy to account for?
Linus discussed this before.
Check out LMGClips.
Several million dollars would have been a decent penalty for a company back in the 70s but for billion and trillion dollar companies, that's loose change found in between the couch cushions.
No even a slap on a wrist more like a inconvenient pin prick, it Should be 10-25% of their yearly revenue and if the issue has taken more than a few years then multiply it by that number of years
If they wanted to stop this bullshit, they'd give companies "prison sentences" - completely stop all operations for the duration of the sentence (but they don't; the system is working as designed)

I have heard a lot of varying opinions on whether the F-16A leak to the forums was actually classified, and if the user could face legal action. I do not believe that is the case, but just recently a definitely classified 11 different sections of an F-15E strike eagle were released.
i think its wholesome that the community have so much enthusiasm and interest for real aircraft specs.
@@bendixtrinity I cant tell if this is sarcasm but it isnt wholesome at all. War Thunder has an extremely divided community when it comes to nation's vehicles and users are pit against each other.
The wing flutter on the F-16 being the reason why they put the larger AMRAAM missiles there instead of the under-wing pylons is well known. They even fly with dummy (inert) missiles during training because the weight dampens the wing flutter - and thus reduces the fatigue on the wing allowing a longer service life of the airframe.

The whole Apple Tv issue where you needed 2 apple devices happened to me as well. I had my iPhone stolen (my only apple device) and apple wouldn't let me recover my apple ID from the stolen device unless I signed in from another Apple Device. The Apple Store pretty much told me I am out of luck unless I buy something else. So, I took my new iPhone to my ATT store and they had an employee sim swap his devices with mine so that we were able to recover my Apple ID without buying another device. Kudos to the ATT employee who helped me in that odd situation but its honestly BS that you can be locked out of your account unless you own multiple devices from a singular company.
As a real world Apple fan with 3 iPhones, 2 Macbooks, iMac, and 4 iPads across my family - I had exactly the “inconceivable” reaction. Boston dynamics is really impressive for making robots do pre-programmed actions and interacting with its environment in ways that would fail if things were set in the wrong spot. Not to mention this was totally their first take and they don't have a sizeable blooper reel.
You are right, but they showcase the capabilities of the body and it is quite impressive. It may not be hard to train an AI in simulation (as it has been done) and upload it so that it uses the robot. The difficult thing for the AI is to know what to do, not necessarily how to do it nowadays.
The whole thing is of course scripted, but perhaps the point was to demonstrate the mechanical capability of the robot, and the fact that it can even do that stuff in the first place.
And you don't have to pay or respect robot
It took me until this episode to pick up on their robot's name being named after a character Portal 2. I'm guessing they'll announce P-Body once they move onto robo-cooperative demonstrations.

I’m not feeling the need to upgrade my M1 MAX. It’s been plenty powerful for anything that’s been optimized for ARM chips. I’m super pleased by Apple and what they have done with this SoC.
The same feeling has settled in with my main workstation that I recently upgraded I went with AMD this to around with the 7950X and the only reason I did it was to get access to more PCIE bandwidth as I was all out of lanes on my old rig which was rocking a 9900K. To be honest the 9900K still holds up well and the 7950X doesn’t even bring to many gains for my work or in gaming. I saw more gains from going from a 2000 series gpu with Nvidia to 3000series
I’d hope not. How often have you upgraded computers in the past? I go 5-10 years between upgrades. That said, I don’t game.

x86 and CISC in general doesn't offer that much these days. The only real advantages of CISC is that it's easier to compile. I know this is a controversial take, but maybe AMD and Intel should start making RISC-V CPUs.
problem is compatibility. If everyone is just going to keep switching architectures, software compatibility becomes a nightmare, especially since most of the corporate world is relying upon legacy software to some degree. It would require each vendor supporting virtualization for all main architectures, and that virtualization would have to be damn good, but it can only go so far, the industry has only really got virtualization of the same architecture down over the past 10 years. I'd imagine it's a pretty hard sell to really get all the companies on board with this who'd need to be. I could see this for chromebooks or other highly restricted devices, but for a standard PC it's going to be a hard sell for the industry at large.
Perhaps I'm wrong! But this is my guess on it.
easier to compile is an understatement, the reason CISC is still triving even outside of the PC space is because the complexity of the operations are baked in the instruction set itself and not in hands of the programmer, even if at the cost of cycles. Creating an efficient optimizing compiler for a RISC processor is a level of magnitude harder and inherently obnoxious to handle; that being said, compilers have been made and we are in an era where having almost 100mb of blazingly fast cache for a PC processor isn't that strange, so the gap has definitely been reduced by a lot.
Apple definitely made a change in the ecosystem by introducing high-performing RISC processors to the availability of your average consumer. We will hopefully be able to take more advantage of it once software catches up, as most important software is being transpiled instead of having native solutions
AMD had an ARM CPU design with the K12 project. But cancelled it years ago after Jim Keller left the company. The only real change to a normal Zen CPU was the decode unit. AMD could easily restart the project and have a RISC CPU fairly quickly if they wanted.
@@TheTardis157the problem would be the software and hardware support

Hey does anyone know if you can have 2 full size Homepods and homepod minis hooked up for surround? The old chip it had was overkill for for dsp, so i would like to imagine these are more so.
Just get an actual surround setup, it'll cost way way less.
@@VVVVV99611 yea I get that, but if apple does it it means it’ll bring more competition in that segment. There’s a ton of out of the box multi channe systems. They don’t need a lot of processing but more consumer friendly type products use DSP to correct placement issues for ease of use/ setup. Maybe I’m overthinking it but I’m seeing a ton of out of the box multi channel solutions for thousands. They have tiny speakers that they make up for with DSP. With apples r&d budget I would like to they they thought of that and have another reason to push their “spatial audio” music. Even a decent entry level 7+channel out of the box system is a couple thousand. If apple could do that for cheaper, maybe ~$800 usd? (4, 2 home pods in front, 2 mini’s in back?) with their “beam forming” tech and pretty gnarly dsp that’d be a cheaper price of entry for those who want to be locked into that ecosystem, but also incentivize home theatre companies to innovate.
