Hi John🖐Robin is a top class carpenter, and I am often envious of the high caliber customers he works for and how their budgets allow him to be a really indulgent tradesmen👍Very similar to Tony of A&E Constuction, who's clients and work are about as good as it gets👌Thanks for watching and your great comment🤩Cheers Del
Working with other trades, they are quick to say 'it would be easier if.....'. Well no. What you mean is 'it would be easier for me'. That boiler was designed to go in the cupboard and that's where it should have gone.
Hi Andy🫡Hope you've had a good week fella🤞I think the boiler has been hidden as well as it has been😶I appreciate you watching as I know you've had a bit of a cull of people you follow on CZcams🤩Cheers Del
Made my day seeing another video pop up from yourself. Another fantastic job completed. The kitchen looks superb! Keep up the great work and will look forward to your next upload. Take care and stay safe. 👍👌
Great job Del , you done a great job around the boiler , I stay away from Kitchens now , I just think to much hassle I prefer to do a roof doors or floors . But that's a great job very nest and tidy
Funny you should say that Darren🤔as I sometimes really fancy just taking on roofing and 1st work, as I can be a bit more satisfying than some 2nd fixing jobs👍Thanks for watching bud 😎 Cheers Del
Looks great Del especially the cupboard around the boiler, something you probably won't know but as a gas eng, they must be able to see & access the flue as they have CO test ports on them and they need to be able to check the entirety of the flue (loose joints etc.) the box above is fine as long as it can be removed best not to silicone/mastic to the ceiling/wall. 👍
I did make sure the test port was reachable, and I did give the builder the option of a removable boxing, but they said don't bother😬To be honest, and given your comment, I think I will just stick to making any boxings easily removable in future👍Thanks for your comment and for watching😎Cheers Del
It nice to see plumbers over there butcher up cabinets and make a mess the same way they do here in the states... Kidding. It never fails to amaze me the mess other people will leave for us to fix even though we do all we can to make sure there are no studs, joist, blocks, and so on in the other trades way, just to turn up and find a mess. At least you were able to get it resolved.
So it's not just us over here then bud🤔Carpenters absolutely love plumbers because they continually help us develop our problem solving abilities🤣Thanks for watching 😎 Cheers Del
Nice trick with the adhesive and wind bags. Always an awkward place to get drills into to try and put fixings up to fix boxing to. I will be using that one in the future
Hi KotT 🖐 To be honest, its only the 24t blade that came with the saw🤔 I really take the cuts slow though, which seems to help make a nice finish👍Cheers Del
Hi there🖐There is set heights for these oven housings, but I still physically measure the oven on site before I put the shelf in for it👊Thanks for your comment and for watching 😎 Cheers Del
Hi Alan🖐No, on well organised jobs, the finished flooring will be laid before I start the fit, (if it isn't then I will get the client to confirm the floor covering thickness and pack the end panel up to suite), and the end panels go on before the worktops do so they can be templated👍Cheers Del
Silly thing to say "hope you enjoyed the video" never a chore watching your video's, liked the solution for the boiler, the up's and downs of kitchen install..is there ever a straight forward kitchen install..
Always good work mate ! But you must have upset the plumber as he gave you a lot of unnecessary problems either you stole his sandwich or he is just one of those horrible t***s but we'll done for not slating him !! 👍
The thing is Karl, is that I don't fully know what conversations were had between the plumber and the builders, and what their expectations were when setting out the boiler position, so I'm not going to judge one or the other🤨What I do know, is that its very common for carpenters to have make jobs look as pretty as possible, even if sometimes its avoidable🤔Thanks for watching😎Cheers Del
Once they see the quality of your previous finished work Del if the owner's have any sense they will just leave you alone to get on with it in your own time
nice job. so annoying when we have to get over other peoples cockups. why didn't they drop the boiler down. they can see what there working to. but I guess that's to easy and not there problem. still at least the didn't rip the floor boards up and expect you to patch them.
ARRRGG!!😲I think you've mentioned the MOST infuriating job that plumbers leave for a carpenter to sort out🤔 and that putting back down butchered flooring😩 Great comment and thanks for watching 😎 Cheers Del
Great job trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. But that boiler irks me. The pipes all spread out like organ pipes. The flue going out the top. They used to be able to go out the side to a wall mount vent. Regs probably changed. Why didn't he centralise the boiler to the wall cabinet instead of it sticking up above. Totally untidy it's fitted and works. Bugger anybody else approach. If I had been the builder he would have done it differently. Certainly wouldn't be paid for that abortion. Not your fault. But that ugly big boxing above the cupboard detracts from a lovely kitchen.
I hear what you're saying Dave🤔but the builder definitely had something to do with where the boiler was situated, so not all down to the plumber👍Thanks for watching bud, and your great comments, as always🤩Cheers Del
As I've said before bud🤔I can only control what I do and how it affects other trades, and I don't know how much input the builders had on the position of the boiler and its pipework🤨I just gotta make whatever I get left with look pretty😎Cheers Del
Excellent work mate. You definitely polished a turd with that boiler looks amazing!
Hi Scott🖐Thanks for your comment bud, and I think it came out as well as it could considering the boiler position🤔Cheers Del

Looks great Dell. I’ve never come across a kitchen without a problem, albeit we always seem to get over them. You done that very well.
I think it's fairly common for kitchens Jerry😬Thanks for watching bud 😎 Cheers Del
Excellent stuff as usual. I love watching a skilled woodworker. For me you're up there with Mr Clevett.

another great video del nice work

👏👏👏👏 As usual, liked the boiler workaround, I have an 'old boiler' that you could box in for me. 😜😜
Just replace your 'old boiler' with a new one Alistair 🤔They're cheaper to maintain, quieter and just make the house feel warmer all round😉
Great job Del you pulled it around in the end 👍 with I could say that about the kitchen I’m doing 🤔😉
Oh John😬I take it you're facing 'challenges' of your own🤔Thanks for watching 😎 Cheers Del
@@thetallcarpenter my units are different sizes to the drawings and no corner posts and end panels yes challenging dell.
