    The fact that the (by far) largest percentage of responses on what could be causing pain is that it's "psychosocial" says an awful lot about what these people providers think of the their patients. While that certainly is a factor, it's really cool to see the truth show up here: they don't believe that actual physical issues are their patients' primary cause of pain. That makes them ready to dismiss everyone who walks into their clinic.
    Actually, depression can be caused by chronic pain. If these people were all living with it, they'd get that. I have never felt more affirmed and seen, than when one lone rheumatologist explained to me (around age 46) that my JIA diagnosis at 15 was itself cause for PTSD.
