The Irish guy makes no sense. He tries to make a case for some of his favorites because they are 'quality' acts, but then crucifies Croatia (who was, let's be honest, pretty damn good and sound), wanting to replace it with Macedonia because he 'likes the studio version.' Come on dude, if you're going to judge, be static across the board. Her act tonight was far from quality; her staging was cold and empty, and her vocals were very weak.
I completely agree with you. Padraig has some issues when it's about Croatia. Last year he also made comments that had no sense at all, just to downgrade Croatian singer.
This year, the same. Although I personally think Croatian performance this year is cheesy, but in comparison to the other performers this year, it got the place it deserved.
Wiwi guys should comment performances at the given time and not compare studio version of their favourite singer and live performance of another.
So Padraig, learn how to comment with arguments based on logic or at least be honest and say that you dislike the country and therefore its representative.
What was the most surprising is that me and my mom agreed on who was best : 1. Hungary, 2. The Netherlands - and we both liked Kristian Kostov's voice.
I also liked: Norway, Romania, Austria, Belarus - yeah, almost all of my favourites qualified (only Macedonia was left behind).
My mom also liked: Israel (the song, not the voice)
I'm also glad Croatia qualified, indifferent to Denmark.

Deban took Estonia's NQ really well... I expected tears😂 Bulgaria was incredible today! I am soooo happy, Kristian is my winner now❤ I'm really glad Hungary, Belarus, Austria, Norway and Croatia made it (Croatia was so good live)!

OMG I am so happy with the results, 9 out of my Top 10 made it through!! I was worried for a second that Austria, Netherlands and Belarus weren't going to make it but they persevered!! Nevertheless a really strong semi final
To be completely honest. I am very pleased with the qualifiers. They all deserved to go through, but I just miss F.Y.R. Macedonia. She was just amazing.

Oh, come on. Norwegian perfomance was sleek, stylish, smart, modern and accurate. Truly can't understand, why would you like to get rid of it to keep dated Estonia. Besides, we have already lost one incredible Nordic entry.
MAre you kidding?? Estonia was so bad, no real interaction between them and it seems they was ready for a model competition. I'm very angry about my country, Switzerland that didn't make it!! She sung so well and the stage was nice, good interaction… but we have no "friends" outside our country ;(In the other hand I'm so happy that Croatia, Belarus and Netherlands make it to the final!!! Positive songs need to enlighten the stage. :D

The ones that stood out (in a good way) for me were Belarus, Estonia, Bulgaria, and, surprisingly enough, Croatia. HUNGARY is my winner of the night, though,
In every competition the results certainly can not satisfy everyone. So just accept the decision with an open heart.

For the first time I feel like the results are 100% righteous. Estonia was crap and Austria is so good! I am very happy about the results. Wiwi sometimes have unreasonable and unqualified opinions.

My favourite moment was when the second qualifier was going to be revealed and we hear "nooorwaaay", yaaay! I am so happy for Norway!❤❤❤ sad for Macedonia..
Thanks guys to support and recognize Croatia as classy act because it is a great song, great vocal... maybe the most beautiful stage in competition which I saw... it have story too... deserved final. Jacques literally live for it !

We all knew there would be blood.
This semi was extremely hard to predict with so many quality entries. A lot of different styles as well.
Very happy that the underrated underdog Jacques made it, he was the best act of the night imo and that's why he guaranteed his spot in the finals.

IKR! When Estonia hadn't qualified and Austria hadn't qualified yet I was also 100% sure he wouldn't make it and I was sad in advance. Someone in wiwi comments was saying he mucked up the jury final so I was ever more certain. So glad he's in.

EUROVISION FAN!!!! Austria was one of my favorites from this semi. Can't believe Croatia made it to the final! And i'm happy Estonia is gone! My favorite of them all: SALVADOR!

Estonia should have been given another go due to technical problems at the beginning. And that would have put Laura off and put Estonia at a disadvantage. Very unfair! The Estonian delegation are well within their rights to complain.
Come on. The same thing happed to Norway in the rehearsal (mic problem and light of the mask not working). This rehearsal is what the jury uses to give points). The jury-votes is 50% of all the votes

The mic was only off for a few seconds, but those few seconds can make a huge difference to the rest of the performance. The fault should never have happened. Estonia should be placed in the final. Only fair!
Cameron Hamilton. Than everyone who had mic problem should been placed in the final. The jury points are given after the 2nd rehearsal before the semi final show. And if you loos points from jury because the mic or mask don't work it is the same thing as loosing tele votes in the semi final. The jury votes countes 50% of all the votes. So when Norway and other countries had mic problems and other problems in the 2.rehearsal they should been placed automatic in the final...is that what you are saying?
Am I only to realise none of the Baltic's are through, and only one Balkan country (Croatia). Should be a very interesting final

The Bulgarian song is swedish. Both the staging and the lyrics and the artist is half russian. Its a great song but nothing bulgarian about it. The Netherlands is just awful R´n´B with 3 Beyonce wannabe´s. Fucking terrible imo.
Ireland was horrible. He was out of tune in the chorus. Good that he didn't qualify

First of all is Romania,not Romenia.And how did we passed through?Two words:"Celebrate diversity".The song is modern,fun,playful and totally different from the others.
I don't know how different it was seeing it live but From watching Estonia on TV, it was so hard to understand what they were saying. They had trouble singing in English and it came across is like just weird words so i think it put a lot of people off
I don't get the hate on Austria! Where has this song no quality? Just because it's low tune, soft and cute? And replacing Modern Talking 2.0 instead of it? Austria really deserved it and the fact that he did it with number 2 is awesome!

It seems like Switzerland didn't get through only because it was Switzerland. I too was surprised that Croatia, Belarus and Austria made it to the final.

But I'm so angry because The Netherlands are in and Macedonia, Switzerland and Lithuania are out (but the last I was hoping that). This semi has been way better than the first where a lot of acts went through when they didn't deserve it.

Just a quick comment to the bubble from my NYC couch: Estonia was such a shoe-in, but the interaction between the two in the last part came-off so fake that I practically felt sick; so that is why they are out. Norway , the big question mark, resolved their too-static performance with on-screen digital candy so this excellent song came through. And Israel sent the most lovable hunk ever - I feel alive myself!
I'm actually extremely happy for this semi results, all acts that i liked got through
I am absolutely happy with results, all my favorites are in: Norway (my personal winner, always get tingles ), Belarus (always make me smile and happy), Netherlands (I like the way they sing), Bulgaria (modern).
And I realized that people just don't like when performers act unnaturally (like Montenegro in 1 s.f. and Estonian guy in 2nd). Also no one likes dated songs (like Estonia once again). And Norway is ordinary? Come on. May be Switzerland and Malta are ordinary?!
I somehow already knew Estonia wouldn't make it. Not surprised at all. 😂

Why does everyone of you's like estonia? Don't get it. So boring, no chemistry, no outstanding vocals, just nothing special. I am happy with the second semi. Would only add switzerland to it and get rid of norway or denmark instead.

Finland and Estonia seem to be the two major "shocks" this year. Too bad their similar languages are not the only thing that joins them in their fate 😕.
So many countries singing in their native language made it and it makes me really happy..I didn`t understand Hungary or Belarus but i loved their songs 😍
I got two theories why Estonia was left out. Most nations, that are friends with Estonia could not vote for it as they were in the first semi final. The second one is much crazier: slight and light sabotage on some level. But first theory is much more probable.
